We were very disappointed with this hotel. The pictures of the rooms advertised were NOTHING like the actual rooms. Not even close. The room was very outdated. The sliding glass door was so clouded that you couldn’t see that well out of it, which wasn’t too bad considering our room was a bit below ground level and our view consisted of a parking lot with electric car hookups about 6 feet from our door. We only saw one employee. She was working the front desk and seemed unhappy with her job and a bit annoyed if you needed anything. And the complimentary breakfast consisted of a sheet of paper that you circled your choices and could grab it in the morning between 7:30-10:30. For the price we paid, we could’ve gotten a much nicer room at another local hotel. We won’t be going back.

We hadn’t stayed in a hotel/motel for over a year due to Covid. We felt very comfortable and felt BW was making the best of a still difficult situation.

The parking lot was so icy. It seemed very dangerous. The room had kind of a musty smell to it. Everything else was great.

Loved the location, quick walk to downtown. Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful and did an excellent job with the Covid restrictions on breakfast. Also loved the little pond with the coy fish out back! Would definitely stay here again.

I arrived at 3;00 in the afternoon with my truck and boat. I backed to the far corner of the parking lot. I was taking up 4 parking spaces. At 9:38 I was awaken by the night manager requesting I move my truck and boat because I was occupying to many parking spaces. At this point the entire front lot was full making it next to impossible to get out, which I explained to the night manager. As an argument began I hung the phone up refusing to move and went back to sleep. At 9:55 I am awoke to someone pounding on my door. It was the NM again demanding I more my truck and my boat. I again refused and he threated to call the Lake Placid Police to which I said go ahead and closed my door. In approx. 15 minutes I again get out of bed with the NM pounding on my door with 3 Lake Placid Police officers. I explained to the officers that I had no place to move my boat to and wasn't sure why this issue wasn't addressed hours ago seeing how the NM was also the afternoon manager and checked me in at 3:00 over seven hours ago. Eventually it came to me having to get dressed so we could walk the property to find a spot to put my truck and boat. The two options were 1 park in the drive lane going to the back parking lot (which would cut off all access to the back parking lot) or in a hashed area next to a wood retaining wall that looked as if it could fall at any moment. I unfortunately can't finish this review due to a limit on words in a review. Bottom line it was HORRIBLE and IMBARASSING!!!!!

convenient, easy check in, late night access, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker!

Best location for trip to Lake Placid. Walk out the back door s as nd you are at the swimming docks and public beach. Or go play s as set of tennis. All restaurants band shops are walking distance . Kayaking on Laa as kevPlacid and or hiking all ready for your outdoors activity.

The parking is a cluster mess. It was nice, a rustic type building in a rustic type town.

The rooms were nice. The breakfast wasn't quite as good as led to expect. Paid nearly $200/night even with a discount, and I'm not sure it was worth that much even recognizing it's high summer season.

Staff was more than friendly and accommodating and very helpful. Fantastic!

Located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. Comfortable lounge with a large fireplace.

The hotel is a great location, no need to drive around town. The breakfast was really good for continental, offered a good variety. Good restaurants but a little pricey. Only thing was there were Christmas decorations up in May, would be nice to have Spring Decor but hotel was really clean!

We went for the fall foliage and were lucky enough to get the last available room at this Best Western for what was a fair price considering the rates of other available hotels. The room, while a little dated, was clean and roomy, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and a fridge and microwave were available. While we were on the first floor it was overall pretty quiet, although you could hear the guests in the room above when they walked, but not so loud that it was bothersome. Bathroom was pretty nice and the shower had plenty pressure. They also have an indoor pool and Jacuzzi on the lower level and are close to Mirror Lake with some rooms having a lake view. Would definitely stay here again if need be.

Great people, great stay................ Great location, great pool

It was nice to be able to walk to the shops and dinner from the hotel.

It was okay. They could have had a better breakfast in the morning.

Hotel rooms are in need of renovation but good value for the money. Breakfast buffet only worth it because it is free with your stay. Food choices equivalent to low end chains. Pool area great for kids but not for romantic weekend. I would stay again due to location and price and because I was there alone to ski as much as possible.

An extremely cozy hotel with an Adirondack feel on the interior. Would stay at this hotel again. Breakfast had several selections. Breakfast room very spacious with beautiful outside views.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately, we have to have limits as to how many parking spots a single guest can occupy, as there aren't enough parking spots available for every guest to occupy 4 parking spots. I hope you were able to enjoy the other aspects of your stay!
