A very nice and quiet place, it is always a pleasure to be here year after year,Excellent highly recommended.Jacuzzi and pool and rooms with kitchen... Lake havasu highly recommended to relax I love this place
First room we were put into was dirty, dirty and the bed was stained. Asked for another room well the bed was better but dirt and dust everywhere. Toenail clippings on the floor in living room area. I really was beside myself. Should have walked out and asked for refund!! If only the suites were as pictured!
Our stay at the Sands was enjoyable because of the people who stay there and the great staff. The facility leaves a little to be desired. The owners don't make improvements so things are getting run down. Every room is different, and some better than others.
I like to stay here its conviente to stores and easy in and out with trailer! clean rooms with swimming pool & jacuzzi they try to accommodate I like that and if you stay there they do remember you! Im not sure what more i need to say I guess i need to say 500 words who knew??? I would recommend to visit if your on a budget i like the kitches and the stove
My family and I were coming to Lake Havasu for a week and needed to stay somewhere with a kitchen. We were referred to Havasu Sands by a friend and we were not disappointed. The price was extremely reasonable for what they offer. The staff was helpful and friendly. They made our stay very comfortable. The location is great, close to main street and access to awesome restraunts. I highly recommend it to all my friends going to Lake Havasu.
I stay here regularly, sometimes twice a year for one or two weeks at a time. The staff is excellent, friendly and professional, and the management personable, professional and kind. They make me feel at home even though my home is 1500 miles a way. Even the maintenance man is approachable. They have a good daily cleaning service with plenty of towels available after my use of their sparkling, clean pool and hot tub. Being that I'm in the fitness industry their exercise room is nice to have available as well. The price is right. I highly recommend Sands Vacation Resort..
As always, you get what you pay for. At a fair rate, you get dated furnishings, but also a full kitchen. It is also just off the beaten path enough to have peace and quiet when you want it. I will continue to give them my business, but some upgrades would be nice.
We stayed here for 7 weeks while my husbans went thru chemo and radiation treatment. The staff treated us great and made us welcome from the first day. I recommend this tomanyone that wants some space and likes to cook sometimes while on vacation. The price was fair, especially for the amenities.
DO NOT STAY HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I’ll start with the climax of the story… I FOUND DIRTY, CRUMPLED MENS UNDERWEAR underneath the covers. How does that even happen….???? They obviously do not change the sheets but apparently they don’t even make an effort to cover up that fact?! I HAVE NO WORDS. Absolutely revolting. Just to give you a better picture (not that you really need it after reading the above information). I drove through a lightning storm to get here so I was really tired and was really looking forward to relaxing in bed. I got there and the power was out so the parking lot was pitch black as were the windows (obviously not the hotel’s fault - the power was out everywhere). I finally found the front desk and the clerk had left. There was an envelope with my name taped up to the door. Phew, I thought and went upstairs to my room. The hotel was pretty trashy with a pool right in the middle, with two floors of rooms all around it. At this point, I did not care. The room appeared to be an old apartment with a large living room/kitchen area and a tiny bedroom. Fine. It was really hot but there was just a power outage. Fine. It looked pretty old and shabby but I was tired and whatever, fine. I went into the bedroom and pulled back the covers to discover, to my absolute horror, a CRUMPLED PAIR OF MEN’S UNDERWEAR. I dry heaved several times and just stood there in shock trying to decide what do. I left a disgruntled note (one by the underwear and another outside the front desk office) and ran to my car. I couldn’t bear to stay there any longer. After a full hour of being placed on hold by hotels.com, I was issued a refund. I ended up booking a nicer hotel and after telling the front desk girl my story, she told me that the Sands is in a bad part of town. Don’t stay here. I’ve stayed at budget hotels for the same price that were decent. This is egregious. They should be shut down.
I just have to say I loved and thoroughly enjoy my stay here at the Havasu Sands Resort. The staff is impeccable especially being in the hospitality business. They keep you up to date on everything involved with your stay. Any issues no matter how minor were handled asap. The kids enjoy being so close to everything festive and the Colorado River you can see from the back patio. Ask any staff member and they can point you to anything and everything, and if they don't know they will research and let you know. No it's not a five star place but they make you feel like it is. Full kitchenette, comfortable living quarters. Definitely the place to stay especially since it feels like home away from home. Very afffordable. Would definitely recommend to all people travelling through or having a vacation. Close to many restaurants and London Bridge without the hefty price tag. Also has the best sunsets.
