We drove from NJ to append few night at this hotel and enjoy lake George but this turned out to be a terrible choice to stay. We didn't expect the attitude assistant manager carries over there. She was extremely rude not just to us but the staff member who appeared to be new to process our check in. Breakfast was another terrible experience. Pretty Pathetic. Couldn't sleep the night due to noisy third floor. Complained to GM who reimbursed the extra room that was booked for last night but was so unprofessional and was condescending in tone, made a remark--"here is your money back as I can sell this room now for double the price". I was just shocked ...... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here again.

The hotel front desk staff were very friendly. They weren't able to offer anything that even closely resembled a concierge experience E.g.:. They didn't know there was a bike rental place in town. They didn't seem familiar with local events. Thanks, Jat H .

nicely kept hotel, close to the Beach, walking distance to Village & Resataurants

I booked this hotel thru Orbitz. Hotel was very clean and nice. It is close to pretty much all attractions. It has an heated indoor pool and spa that my entire family loved! The breakfast is average but plenty of food. The desk clerks and housekeeper was wonderful. However, since I booked this with Orbitz, there were an issue where it caused me to overbooked. When I first originally booked, I booked for 2 rooms for three nights. 2 days later, I received an email from Orbitz stating that the hotel have cancelled my reservation and I should re book it again.Since my reservation is for 2 rooms and receiving this cancellation email, I went ahead to re-book the hotel again. When I arrived the hotel in late afternoon a few days later, I was told I have 3 rooms reserved for me.At this point, its not who made a mistake or who caused the issue...the problem is when I asked to speak to a hotel manager, she is either in a meeting or busy.I made a few attempts to get in touch with the manager but no luck! It was not until my third days there, I received a phone call from the manager. She couldn't help me with my issue/ concern and just letting me know how they always have problem with outside booking and that they never cancel reservation with travel agent..meaning they have no fault and I should go back to travel agent! My issue was taken care of by the travel agent. But the bottomline is that I know the manager was there but she didn't bother to even come and see me until 3 days later!!

10 mile bike path right behind the hotel. Breakfast selection was good. Five minute drive to downtown Lake George or you can walk about 1 mile on the bike path to the beach! All in all great place!

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. The rooms are very clean and the tv comes with HBO, which is amazing. Also, both the indoor and outdoor pool are lovely and rite aid is within walking distance in the event you forget something.

It was Small problem that we complain ,and they change the room.it was a good experience

the main concern was the bathtub not been clean every housekeeping visit, in 4 days stays they only clean it once.

Excellent value for money. We went offseason. The only negative was that the fridge in our room didn't work. Other than that, everything was great!

Hotel was great. Breakfast leaves something to be desired. If you like cereal and coffee then this breakfast is for you.

Great accommodations , very clean, helpful staff, close to everything, breakfast was just OK.

Very good. Convenient. Clean. Good breakfast bar. I'd stay there again.

A fine property fairly close to Lake George. Directly across from a water park nice, well maintained grounds, and a decent continental breakfast. Hot tub wasn't working when we visited (we coped), but the room was clean and pleasant. Check in could have gone smoother (we arrived twenty minutes before check-in and had to stand around waiting until 3 on the dot. Haven't experienced that in any other hotel.) Overall, a fine stay.

I've stayed here more than once. always clean rooms and friendly staff would recommend to anyone.

The Hotel was in a great location about 20 minute walk to the strip. the hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good.

The stay was terrible. Staff was rude and they charged me twice. Be careful with your booking. They take any chance to be rude and disruptive.

My daughter had a softball game in glens falls and and we were and hour and a half away from home so we took advantage of it and decided to make a night of it. We love the lake George area and the Wingate is a great place to stay. Staff was super friendly and they have a great pool.

Very nice location if you are visiting the lake and close to many neat local restaurants. After a long day of travel, the front desk professional wisely offered us a room further away from a bus-load of teenagers who were expected in later that evening. A nicer room on a quiet level with a little discount given - very much appreciated. Would recommend!

I was supposed to be in Montreal for the night but due to weather conditions, I had to stop for the night. I got this hotel for an amazing price using my Orbucks. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was neat, clean, and big. They had a Jacuzzi, pool, and an exercise room. Also, the free breakfast in the morning was plentiful and a lot of options. It was an overall pleasant experience.

Nothing fancy. It was a clean, average place with free breakfast.
