Visited for 4 night stay which was just perfect for the region, hotel location and views were spectacular, we had room 208 with balcony to the front and also bathroom. Rooms were compact but comfortable, reception staff a delight, can't praise them high enough. However the quality of the breakfast was below expectations, tinned fruit, sliced bread, limited hot options, we had better in other similar hotels. Biggest problem was 3 of the 4 nights we stayed, the hotel hosted weddings or functions, and there was no where we could use for a bar or lounge, and the dining room used downstairs......horrible, Asnigo needs to correct these two items, and they will get much happier guests.

Just returned from a week's stay at Hotel Asnigo and I cannot praise the hotel enough. Whilst the pool was clean and well maintained, the food fresh and delicious and the rooms bright and spacious; it is the staff that make this hotel truly outstanding. Nothing was too much of a problem, they always offered service with a smile and the hotel manager even went out of his way to personally give us a lift to an event when no taxis were available. A truly special gem in the area of Cernobbio! We will be back.

Enjoyed a 5 night stay here. Absolutely idyllic location, overlooking lake Como. Room was clean but compact. Showers tiny, but we understand they are replacing them shortly. Really helpful multilingual staff. Nice pool area to relax in, overlooking the gorgeous lake. Only down side is the lack of regular transport nearby. Even getting a taxi is sometimes challenging. Perhaps the hotel could offer a chargeable shuttle to the town centre, as it's half a mile straight descent down the hill which was about 1 1/2 miles (walking up is impossible for us).

In general this was a good hotel and I would stay again. - Our room had a strange layout - 2 floors, and extra bed and sofa bed and a view if you stuck your head out the window ("partial sea view" advertised) - my advice would be to pay more for a balcony. - The pool is great but you have to pay for pool towels. - The bar is pretty useless as there was never any bar man. - The restaurant was ok, staff are nice, breakfast has a spectacular view. - The location is totally fine if you are happy to do a bit of uphill and downhill walking - there are hardly any taxis in the town so would recommend taking one directly from the train station - the buses are pretty useless, we actually never managed to get one as the timetable is not reflective of the actual times. All in all, if you get a good price this is a fine hotel

The hotel and the rooms are nice, but I had a bad experience at the check out. The day before leaving I asked the reception to book a taxi for the day after. I reminded them twice and they confirmed me that the I would have found the taxi at 7:40 AM as agreed. But the day after the taxi wasn't there and the guy at the reception told me that their own taxi had an issue with the car and he didn't book another taxi for me because he was busy doing check outs. I was about to miss my train and as a consequence my flight to go back home. He also told me "don't worry, you'll catch your train on time. In Italy trains are always late". This is not an excuse and they should guarantee that the taxi is there on time.

Fabulous looking pictures on the internet but they do not reflect reality. Paper thin walls , tiny dated bathroom, 2 star maximum . bijou bedroom . A 15 minute walk the waterfront . Fab location but a real let down !

Needed a quiet few days away so we decided to try lake como. Saw this hotel on booking.com and thought the location looked lovely. Stayed in the suite we had a balcony over looking the lake. Omg what a beautiful view. The hotel was spotless. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The only thing was that there were no coffee making facilities in the room. We would definitely return to this hotel again. Just be warned it's on a steep hill, it's ok walking down but will need a taxi back up.

Fantastic location. Nice people friendly and helpful. Rooms are rather small but try and get one of the rooms with full lake view and you will want to stay only in the balcony. Very good restaurant with a terrace over the lake. Swimming pool available as well. Hotel has its own parking which considering the narrow streets of Cernobbio is a great plus.

We stayed at Asnigo Hotel for three nights in late September 2016. It's just a short drive (15-20 minutes) from the town of Como, but a world away. The staff is very friendly, relaxed and professional. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. From our room, we had views of Lake Como and the surrounding hills. A small balcony (space for a table a two chairs) was the perfect spot to begin the day, watching the sun rise over the hills, and the ideal place to end the day, with a glass of Prosecco looking at the twinkling lights of the villages that dot the coast of the lake. The hotel serves a full breakfast of Italian salami, cheese, breads, fruits, eggs, cereals and yogurt (all included in the room rate). We ate dinner in the restaurant on one evening, but we were disappointed in the dishes. But that was a very minor disappointment, because the hotel location, views and the friendliness of the staff is what will make me return to this hotel the next time I visit Lake Como.

We had a wonderful stay in this small but pleasant hotel. Beautiful view on the lake situated outside the town. It's calm and idealic to walk around higher up the Main Street and enjoy the small and charming houses.
