The desk staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. The free breakfast was way more than I expected: hot meal, fresh drinks, good coffee, variety of choices, just a great breakfast like you'd expect from 4 star hotel but free. I love that hand sanitizes were placed all over the place. The room was clean and my room especially was spacey. A/C worked great which is real important to me. Iron and Board, coffee maker, blow dryer, microwave, and refrigerator were in the room. And it wasn't a little fridge where you can only put 2 items in it - this was a mid-size fridge, plenty of room. The BBQ sandwiches that are available from local BBQ place is a great add-on. All in all, this is my choice for future stays when I visit Lake Charles. One more thing: I left my insulin in the fridge. The staff found it and saved it in the main office and called me. Big Thumbs Up as I thought I would have to replace expensive medicine.
We had a nice, quiet stay. We were there for a funeral that didn’t start until 1:00 pm so we asked if we could have a late checkout and they did that without a problem.

Great location. Front desk attendant very helpful and had that good, SW Louisiana sense of humor. Room was very clean. Breakfast was very good with many items to choose from. The only criticism I can give, and I've read this on other reviews, is the cigarette smoke smell is strong in the hotel. It's not too bad on the first and second floor, but it is VERY strong on the third floor, which is where our room was located. But, once in the room, it wasn't bad. If you are very sensitive to cigarette smoke, ask to stay on the first or second floor. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay and will return.
