Relax in this Hamptons-inspired cozy beach house, enjoying 160-degree ocean views and views over the headland, designed with modern touches and comfort in mind—just one street back from the beach. Lovingly detailed, the relaxed and open-plan interior blends indoor and outdoor living seamlessly. A bright, airy, and stylish modern interior, renovated in white tones and just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, offers the perfect coastal getaway.

Truly comfortable with ducted air conditioning throughout the living area and bedrooms. The beds are made with crisp white linen. Fully fenced garden. Pet-friendly—we love dogs! Just please inform us in advance if you're bringing them.

THE SPACE
BEDDING

2 bedrooms and 2 beds:

Master bedroom with a king-size bed

Second bedroom with a queen-size bed

The master bedroom opens onto the back deck—gaze at the outdoor view, starry sky, or ocean sunrise with a morning coffee in bed.

LAYOUT

Downstairs features a spacious kitchen with all appliances you need for a comfortable stay, including a breakfast/dining table or the option to dine outdoors on the deck.
The open-plan master bedroom is on the left, and the second bedroom is on the right. A bathroom is located in the hallway between the rooms, facing the outdoor deck. An additional "sneaky" toilet is in the laundry room off the outdoor back deck.

The back deck has two levels:

The upper level is for seating or dining.

The lower level is a lounge area with optional hammock hooks and a hammock provided.

The drop-down deck opens out onto a large, sloped green lawn. The yard is fully fenced.

Upstairs features a very comfortable lounge/TV room with a 55-inch smart TV and a separate veranda offering stunning ocean views. You can watch whales pass by from May to November during their annual migration.

WALK TO BEACH, CAFES & SHOPS

The house is located on the beach side of Ocean Drive, the main coastal road from Lake Cathie to Port Macquarie. The beach is a one-minute walk via a short lane; Middle Rock surf break is 800 meters away.
Once you’re at the house and on the back deck, you’ll feel surrounded by a relaxing environment, barely remembering that you’re in the heart of Lake Cathie—with cafés, restaurants, a tavern, and shopping center just 500 meters down the road.

Lake Cathie is a small coastal town with no traffic lights—just a few main streets—and traffic dies down after the evening.

Fury Holiday!

The property was great, really well set up for a weeks holiday with everything at your finger tips. We took our dog and it was fantastic with a good backyard and a couple of mins walk to the beach for puppy fun!

Loved staying at the White Beach Cottage

Everything about this place met or exceeded our expectations. Booking and check in was easy (and provided all the info well in advance), comms from the property managers was warm and friendly and the place itself was perfect. Upon arriving was met with a welcome food and drink package and personalised hand written notes welcoming the family from Craig at Beachscape. Even included doggy treats and a welcome for the pups who were with us. The house was super clean and didn't have any smell of prior pets like some do. Amazing views from the deck. Despite being a small house they've really maximised the usable space with multiple relaxing areas inside and out. The beds were fantastic. Appliances were fantastic including an Apple TV projector, very nice coffee machine and a hopper full of beans ready to go, nice clean dishwasher etc. Wonderfully renovated bathroom with a nice big shower. The hammock out on the back deck by the water feature was exceptionally relaxing.Kids loved it, dogs loved it, would happily stay again. Thanks Beachscape for such a wonderful stay.

A week of beauty and serenity

We all had such an amazing albeit life changing week at this property! We always appreciate properties which are accommodating for our dog. What we didn’t expect was an extensively catered accommodation- every convenience that you could imagine is accounted for in this lovely house. The views.across the ocean are magnificent. The shower, beds and variety of comfortable seating options are of a very high quality. We certainly didn’t want to leave! Within easy walking distance to ruggedly beautiful coastline and supermarket. We have already booked our return stay!

Amazing vacation house

Amazing property with ocean views, centrally situated and has all the amenities. Haven’t been to such a self contained house where literally everything was available in the house. Wished we had more time to just relax and enjoy the property. There was a planned power outage during our stay and properly agent did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Big thank you for that.

Loved staying here. So much thought has gone into ensuring you have a wonderful stay from the basket of treats to the wonderful outdoor area and the large screen upstairs for movies. Beautiful White Beach Cottage

My family all had a wonderful stay at White Beach Cottage at Lake Cathie. Everything about this cottage is perfect and the maintenance including the delightful garden was fantastic. Inside the cottage was immaculate and very clean and fresh with a beautiful view of the sea. There was a generous welcome share and leave basket which was a lovely surprise and a bottle of wine to enjoy on our first night. Lake Cathie is a lovely friendly village and the Tavern in the village did excellent meals. We will definitely come back to stay again one day. Thank you!

A Great House and puppy Friendly too!!

We had a fantastic stay. It is a brilliantly finished holiday home, everything you might need for a perfect get away. It is a great location with a beautiful out look to the sea, shops near by and an easy drive to so many things in the Port Macquarie area. What also made it extra special was the lovely features and of the home, it was so comfortable and modern. It was also a perfect place to stay with our puppy. The beach behind the house is dog friendly so she enjoyed many morning walks along the beach. We will most definitely stay again.

Our stay at the white cottage

Beautiful relaxing property! Sitting on the deck listening to the ocean is heaven. We brought our two dogs along and they had a fantastic time at the house along with daily runs on the nearby dog friendly beach. The place was very clean and well stocked with supplies. We will defiantly consider coming back.

You miss it as soon as you leave

A very lovely and cosy house with enough space for the people living in it. Wonderful greenery and beautiful location. A good kitchen and cookware. The checkin process was seamless and the whole week was very enjoyable. Its full of things to keep you entertained and a beautiful deck. The master bedroom may lack a bit of privacy but it didn’t impede our time at all. The speaker and projector are such a privilege. It was a wonderful time for quite a good price so thanks for having us!

Easy to rent. I wasn't aware of amount of stairs inside. A bit troublesome for someone with lung problems. For me the loungeroom would've been better off the kitchen instead of a bedroom, sorry.

We enjoyed a short get away with our puppy at White Beach Cottage.

The property was very clean and extremely comfortable. Everything was provided, except for a hair dryer which would have been nice as there was no sitting outside in the sun as we had constant rain. The inclusion of a huge screen/projector with Netflix, Binge & Amazon was an unexpected bonus which we really appreciated. White Beach Cottage was the best holiday rental that we have stayed in and I would like to thank the owner for supplying everything you could need. Also a mention of the Agents that were very organized and on top of everything. We hope to return again for a longer stay and better weather.

This property is phenomenal, the photos don’t do the house full justice - undersold and over delivered! The property is serviced very well with every provision needed. The owners have done a fantastic job in the renovation and interior design creating a relaxing vacation home. The personalised welcome card and hamper were a very nice touch as well that we greatly appreciated. Above all this property is very accomodating for pets with ample toys, backyard and treats for the pooch which for us is a priority when travelling. 10/10 would highly recommend to our family and friends, and we will certainly be back sometime soon for another stay.
