Courtyard by Marriott Oahu North Shore

3.5 out of 5.0

This property was situated perfectly for our stay. We were able to get to and from everything we wanted to do without all the traffic on the westside of the island. LOVE THE NORTHSHORE. The only problem was the people on the floor above us were extremely heavy footed and it seemed like their children were use the bed as a trampoline. Very loud for 5 of the six nights.

The hotel had no bar or cafe. And the fire pit couldn't get started. Two maintenance men came to start the fire pit but didn't know how.

I liked that you could rent snorkelling items and beach towels and umbrellas. They also provided beach mats, but were always out of them.

nice hotel in a great location. Only annoyance was lack of room service which we asked about and were told they had until we attempted to order it and we're told we could order from our room but had to pick up in person.

Very friendly and professional staff!!! I've stayed there numerous times and I will continue to be a frequent guest whenever I visit the North Shore of Oahu.

Close to the activities we participated in while on the North Shore. Very nice place to stay. Enjoyed the PCC next door.

Enjoyed the Pool area and the closeness to the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Nice hotel and it was very close to a lot of places.

The hotel was conveniently located to the attraction I wanted to Attend.

It was great, other than almost everything in the area being closed on Sunday because of it being in a Mormon town. Other than that it was a great stay. The staff was great and very helpful and the room had everything I needed

We chose this hotel because we enjoy the quality of Marriott properties and needed room for 5. The location is 1hour from Honolulu and Waikiki, so some drives to museums were long. But since it was on North Shore, some drives to North Shores beaches like beautiful Waimea were short, so I felt it balanced out—my kids wanted beaches more than the city anyway. The property is very clean, with Hawaiian decorations tastefully done. We did not take advantage of the free hula and ukulele classes, but nice to have the option. There is a small beach across the street, but it was somewhat dirty, many nicer beaches not too far away. The Laie point is a beautiful sunrise point, not to be missed, within 10 min walk. Not to many sidewalks past the McDonalds, so I wish it were safer to walk to the nearby strip mall for some L&L BBQ and shave ice—better to drive there. The beds were very nice—but Marriott consistently fails my sofa bed tests—most uncomfortable I have ever felt! Buy a foam pad from Target—your teenager will thank you! The pool is nice with a beautiful waterfall—well managed by the pool staff. They will rent you gear from the pool shack, like boogie boards and snorkel gear for 3 hours or for a day, competitively priced on island. McDonalds is right next door, and there is Pounders, a nicer restaurant, at the Center next door. Overall, a very nice experience with this hotel.

Nice hotel on the north shore near the cultural center.

Courtyard Marriott is in a very convenient spot on the North Shore if you are looking for a good priced stay and great beaches. It is located next the Polynesian cultural center so really awesome to walk over there. Really enjoyed our time there just wished they would clean the shower when they cleaned out the rooms each day

We loved this hotel. First time in Hawaii, but stayed at 4 separate places and this one by far was the best. Great little town and culture, great location with close proximity to all the North shore has to offer. The staff was the friendliest and most helpful we have come across yet! Mikes surf school is the best! We would recommend this to anyone interested in going to Hawaii for business or pleasure. The bistro at the hotel is wonderful, too!

The hotel was beautiful and clean, but with very limited restaurant options. There is no bar service in the hotel or nearby. The air conditioner was good for cooling the room, but seemed loud during the night.

Hotel is nice. Staff was friendly. Would stay there again.

Aloha and thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Due to our land lease, we are not allowed to serve any liquor on property. We are looking into the malfunctioning of the fire pit and hope to get this situation corrected. Again, mahalo for your response.
