I booked through Hotel.com and made payment to spend one night (14th of February 2019) in the hotel. I got to the hotel but was refused entry by the security men on duty with the excuse that the hotel has been sealed by the Lagos State Government for non payment of tax. I have made several efforts to get a refund on the money paid for the accommodation but they have refused to respond to my mail.
The hotel is very modern, clean and stylish. The staff are amazing with great customer service. I love the rooftop bar, pool and Chinese restaurant, a great place to entertain guests. Highly recommended.
I really had a nice time with good and tasty meal in a serene environment. Their front staff keep wearing a smiling face to welcome me. I look forward to having a wonderful time again. Westown Hotel , a place to be.
My stay in the hotel was lovely and great, I stayed 3nights and the amenities were very satisfying. Room was very neat and comfortable. Overall service was unique. I once heard about their hot water issue but throughout my stay, that was never a problem, I believe the issue has been fixed.
I cant even explain this. Although the staff were friendly, nothing worked at the hotel. The room was freezing( centrally controlled air conditioning system that even the staff didnt understand how it works), bathroom looked aged and ancient and also freezing. We ordered our dinner and didnt get it until after 2hrs.... let me not forget to add that we had to settle for what they had as our choices were not available. The television wasnt working, no towels in the bathroom. Called to complain about this but as expected only the towels were brought, they completely ignored the complain about the television. Very limited choices at the breakfast buffet as well. I'm still quite shocked as i expected better. To end this i and the kids got mosquito bites over night
Very friendly and couteous Security and front office Personnel. The hotel is very quite and neat. The Room was very comforatble. The Internet was not too impressive, as it was always goining on and off. The Car park was also restrictive, though they had another car park beside the complex. The complimentary breakfast did not have varieties, but was just okat. This could be improved on. I liked the hotel, and enjoued my stay. Power supply was stable and they had very efficient back up. I will most definitely go back there.
Check-in was easy and I was taken straight to a very comfortable and quiet room. The continental breakfast was quite good, although there was no fresh coffee, just Nescafe. The gym on the top floor next to the pool was reasonably well-equipped. My only real disappointment was a very poor Wi-fi connection.
Centrally located in Ikeja but surrounded by Hotels with much better price value to offer. The Hotel can be at maximum 3* and needs refurbishments in several areas Changed room twice as Air conditioning was not working in the rooms and most of the public areas. No hot water. Internet only working in the public ares. Food was horrible and Menu items just did not exist or out of stock? Breakfast buffet was very poor with limited offers and varieties. Total inattentive staff and very slowly. Definitely will not repeat my experience on my next visit to Lagos
Reception. I visited Westown hotel 2 weeks ago. Check-in was very quick and the receptionist are very professional and friendly. I stayed for 3 nights which I really enjoyed. Rooms. The room that I was offered was very clean n furniture very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet very clean and this was what I liked most about the hotel. The management could consider changing of blinds/curtains as the room I was offered 301,by 7am the sun is too bright hence if you had a late night and wanted to sleep more the light effect could be a distraction. The TV has wide range of local and international channels. Restaurant and Food. Service staff are professional and very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast and the Sunday Buffet was amazing with fresh food at a very affordable price. The Thai restaurant on the rooftop had the best food too.The pool bar location is fantastic for outdoor relaxation. However on a weekend I thought the closing time was rather too early for guest who like to stay late and have a drink before retiring to bed. Swimming pool very clean. Wi fi The internet was very fast and free ,this enabled me to work and catch some fun too. Security. Very professional and friendly. In general i would rate my stay 9/10.To mention few staff that had exceptional service, The Food abd Beverage manager Mr Nashon,Mr Julius,Kelvin,Douglas and Henry in the Laundry. They made my stay comfortable. I would come again and again and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ikeja. You get more and pay less. Excellent service beyond my expectation. THANK YOU WESTOWN STAFF :)..KEEP IT UP..I WILL BE BACK AGAIN
The Westown Hotel in Ikeja Lagos is one hotel that anyone should definite avoid. Apart from the appalling service, the dirty and mosquito infested rooms, bad food, promised but existent breakfast, the guys are actually involved in fraudulent debit on your card. Be very careful. They actually debited my credit card 3 times for the same bill, and when I went back to talk to them, they said it is the problem I have to go and resolved with my bank/card provider. It was bad. Really bad. I had to forefeit the money as I was travelling out of Nigeria. Please please, be aware for when you are paying with your cards with this hotel... that is if you even have to go and stay there in the first instance as I was...
