Stayed here with family while in town for a soccer tournament. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was very large. The hotel is very well kept and front desk was very helpful at check in. The breakfast was wonderful also. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
We drove to Lafayette from Houston for a quick road trip. Nice drive if you go by way of FM 1960 to Dayton, US 90 to Beaumont and then US 10 to Lafayette. By the way, if you rent a car at IAH, do not go through Advantage Car Rental. They are the worst. The hotel is right off US 10 on the way to Morgan City. Safe area, nice manager, and clean comfortable rooms. Plenty of free parking. A free afternoon tea is mentioned as an amenity. That just means you can get a cup of tea or coffee in the afternoon.
Traveling back to Florida from Texas, we needed to have an inexpensive stay just for the night. Made a reservation online with the Choice Hotel's app. The location and price were very favorable. This is a relatively small 2-story hotel with interior hallway. The location is awkward to get to off of the Interstate. The elevator is in the far eastern end of the hotel, so if you have several luggage pieces and need a cart, and you room is on the west end of the 2nd floor, you have a very long trek to your room. The hotel has been upgraded, but the carpet is pretty worn. The hot breakfast was very sparse at 8:30am, with only fried eggs available - no meat. The coffee pots were empty and there was no cream. When I notified the desk, they stated that the person was in training to work the front desk, but it seems that providing an advertise amenity should be their first priority. When we checked out, it took an inordinate time to "just print my receipt" (i.e., 5 min). The computer system was rebooting. They seem to be friendly, and trying, but they need to become more service oriented.
All staff we dealt with were awesome, and great with our two kids. Room was clean and tidy. Exactly what we were looking for. We should have taken up the offer of getting us on a boat tour, as we had no luck ourselves!
This hotel is near the interstate but on a quiet street. There was no outdoor noise at all, very quiet. When we checked in the young lady working the desk was very friendly. A guest had the tv in the lobby turned to a movie we were all huge fans of so we got to chat about the movie and how much we enjoyed the series. Check in was very speedy. The room was a huge, had a small kitchen area and the price for the room couldn't be beat. The ac was already on so that was really nice. The room was clean and the entire stay was enjoyable. The lady who presided over breakfast greeted us and every other person as we came in and she was pleasant to talk to. The breakfast area was clean with a good variety of healthy options as well as favorites like waffles. The coffee was excellent. If i was to stay in the area again i'd seek out this hotel. I'd recommend anyone else to as well, its easy to get to, nearby to everything but quiet at night.
Stayed here July 26 enroute to TX. Comfortable room. Clean bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was good. "Mom" is the best part of the hotel as far as we are concerned. She is the breakfast overseer and is so friendly! We would stop here again just to see her. A bit difficult to find the hotel after dark as it requires making a U-turn at the first stop light, or crossing over at the first crossover (but you can't see that in the dark). Also, if I recall correctly, there is no direct driveway from the road, you have to turn onto the service road (but that's LA and TX for you). Hotel is so close to I-10 that the sign is difficult to see (not as high as the other hotel signs). Quiet hotel even being close to I-10.
Stayed here 2 nights. Hotel was nice. Staff are exceptional from the GM on down. Very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make your stay great. Hot breakfast with eggs, sausage or bacon. Waffles. The only complaint I have is the pool. Although clean and nice and indoors, the water was a bit chilly. Pool is not heated. Other than that if in Lafayette, would definitely stay there again.
I was extremely disappointed with this location. It was advertised as being a "pet friendly" motel, however once I arrived, the desk attendant wrote on the contract "no pets allowed." If that's not false advertising I don't know what is. The room looked like it needed to be cleaned. I opened the door to the stairs & a rodent greeted me, therefore, I shut the door and made my way to the elevator. The beds were comfy & roomy so I guess that's the only plus to this motel.
We fully enjoyed our stay! Will for sure be back! Rooms were nice and clean! Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was good and the hostess was so sweet!!! I loved that the beds had four pillows per bed!
I stayed at this hotel as a planned stopover on a trip across the country. When I arrived it was pouring rain but fortunately there was no other car in front of the reception and I could get my luggage out of the car without getting drenched. I made the reservation on line and when I checked in the receptionist, Kamal, first asked me about my trip which I think was a nice touch. It would have been a good opportunity to unload about my experiences on the road jungle but I tried not to succumb into temptation. Then I asked him if, by any chance I could have a room on the first floor. He said that there were no rooms for the type of the reservation that I had, but after a few moments of thinking he said, “Well, I will get you an upgrade so you can stay on the first floor”. Not only that, but he gave me the room a very quiet room (which I put as a preference when I made the reservation). The room was clean, smelled fresh and no piece of furniture was old or decrepit. The shower head provided enough water for a comfortable shower, which is a plus nowadays with many hotels showers that are just for drip irrigation. There was no gym so for my jog I went outside on the streets of the neighborhood. When you first arrive at the hotel and see a gated parking lot with bright lights you probably would not feel very comfortable. You need not worry, though. After I run a few times around the streets surrounding the hotel, I realized that this was a working class neighborhood, most likely safe. There were no houses with bars on the windows. This being a weekend there was a party at one house, but there was no blaring music. If you plan to have a dinner in one of the famous catfish Louisiana restaurants, you cannot jug around the blocks at the end of a day of driving because all the restaurants close by 9:00 PM and there is about twenty minutes of driving to the closest one - so much for my diner. I did not have time for breakfast in the morning, just went for a cup of coffee. But the hostess, which reminded me of a picture of Aunt Jemima, almost would let me leave - scolding me like a mother that I should not leave without a breakfast. Incidentally, she also spoke French with some Canadian guests. This is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of imagination and I am aware that circumstances can dictate quite different experiences but in my case I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
