Our second time here for a fraternal function. The staff are first class and service exceptional. Our breakfast Sunday morning was well attended, service great and food excellent Getting to see the Harlem Globetrotters was icing on the cake, just to say.
The wife and I was on a return trip from Austin to Mobile, Al and we experienced a enormous amount of traffic on Interstate 10 which delayed us for about 2 1/2 hours. To top it off, we hit a big pothole on the outside of Houston that flattened the two tires on the drivers side of my vehicle (Everything in Texas is Big) and we ended up waiting 1 and 1/2 hours for AAA to send a tow truck. Then we spent another 2 hours in a tire repair shop. You can imagine the frame of mind we were in when we arrived at the hotel. That quickly changed because of the way the folks there treated us. We were very hungry and thirsty. They quickly took care of that for us and we ended up having a fine evening with their staff. I cannot say enough good things about them.
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn/ Lafayette/Cajundome and I enjoyed my stay. I travel to Lafayette on business frequently and I am trying out several hotels in the area. I selected this hotel because of the onsite restaurant. When traveling on business, I sometimes need my "cave time" and prefer to order room service and forego the company dinners, so I need a full service hotel with an onsite restaurant. I was disappointed with the early closing of the restaurant (10pm) and the limited menu. The menu had about 5 items and none of them seem particularly satisfying. We arrived at 10:30pm, so had to starve until breakfast. Would have preferred at least a late night limited menu. So now I'm ravenous for breakfast was looking forward to a hearty meal. The made to order omelet was good, but not worth the amount paid. My hot breakfast choices were eggs, bacon and sausage, essentially a step-up from the free breakfasts I enjoyed at other hotels. I was looking for a non-pork meat choice, grits, etc. I guess I could have had two omelets, or omelets and French Toast and Pancakes. I'll stock up next time! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bed amazing and the shower was very hot! And I love the Keurig coffee maker? Still no shower caps! I hate that! Overall, the hotel was very nice and I would probably stay again, but I will continue my search for a true full service hotel in the area.
I was in town attending a conference. The location of the hotel was in a perfect location and the bed was very comfortable. However, the hallway had trash on the floors and the room cold have been cleaner. OVERALL I had a good stay and I would stay there again.
The room was clean and comfortable. ALL of the staff was helpful, considerate, and sweet. WiFi was good, service was amazing all around. The hotel has a really convenient location off by the Dome and not too far from some stores and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Lafayette!
Our stay was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location was across the highway from the Cajundome, where I was attending a conference. The building was clean, but could use a little update.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast had a good selection. Location is very convenient, and there are plenty of parking spots in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms were full of free space, beds were comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again. We stayed for a Mardi Gras Ball. Several friends stayed as well, we received hand made survival gift bags which was cute. It had water and tylenol etc. in each packet.
I usually love the Hilton Garden Inn, but this one is a disappointment. The staff was very nice, but the hotel is aging and looking worn. My room was a bit dirty and musty smelling. A shrimp Caesar salad for dinner was expensive and very sparse, the shrimp rubbery and over cooked. The furniture in the room has seen much better days.
We stay at this property at least twice a year. We were disappointed this stay. It wasn't as clean as it usually is and restaurant service was poor. They changed their menu but didn't update the room menu.
