We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express and have never been there before. The 2nd day of our stay we went to go in our room and couldn't get in our keys wouldn't work. The staff, the 2 young ladies at the front desk were very helpful. We had a softball game to get to and upon returning the lock was fixed and a basket of goodies was left for us with a letter of apology. We always stay at Holiday Inn Express and this is what will keep us staying in this Hotel chain.
We were a walk in, on Monday 7-10-2017, from the very beginning the front desk clerk was very friendly. They had rooms available but what I thought was cheaper on the internet ended up being a nightmare with Expedia. The front desk clerk said no problem have them call me so they won't charge you a cancellation fee. And she ended up giving us a room at her cheapest rate due too all the crap Expedia gave us, and she didn't have to do that. The room is nice/clean/smells good, a Keurig, microwave, little refrigerator. Would highly recommend this place. Can't wait to eat breakfast in the am. Heard it was good as well.
I am always looking for the best hotels to stay in, since I live in them for months a time. I suggest that you try the Holiday Express Inn in Lafayette, LA. I found it to have very clean guest rooms and the ground are well maintained. The hotel has a pool around the back side and fenced in. The employees are very friendly and always greeting you whenever they see you. The breakfast is hot with eggs, biscuits and gravy, along with sausage or ham. There is always cold cereal, milk, juices and warm cinnamon rolls are the best. The coffee is always hot and in the afternoon warm chocolate chip cookies. And this Holiday Express Inn a “King” room, which nice large room with a small wet bar. Very nice. I hope they remember me, because I left every employee of the hotel with two large Hershey chocolate bars. Had a great time.
I stayed here one night last weekend. We stayed in a room with double beds. The room and entire hotel was very clean. The room's furniture was all updated and not beat up. The bed was a little hard but definitely not the worst I've had. I like the fact that they have a microwave, fridge, and keurig in the room. The bathroom was a decent size and a nice full size mirror outside of it for 2 people to get ready. The breakfast area was a decent size but the breakfast was only okay. The bacon was flimsy and really greasy and the juices were very watered down. More appropriate for a grab and go then side down expecting a full meal. Overall, good price, great area with a short drive to ULL, shopping, etc. and clean rooms. I would stay here again and just eat breakfast at a nearby restaurant.
My son was getting married in Youngsville and this hotel was only minutes away from the venue so I chose to stay there. The lobby was clean and inviting, the front desk staff very friendly and ready to check me in. My room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless with the towels and toiletries ready for me. I stayed 4 nights and the young lady who took care of my room was fantastic. When I returned to the room at night it was so cool and inviting. everything in place and spotless. The room was very quite at night, no extraneous noise filtering thru the walls or door. The lady in charge of the breakfast area was superb, such a pleasant person to see first thing in the morning. Her smile was contagious, you could not greet her without returning that smile. There was a variety of food available, fresh fruit, a variety of juices, pastry, cereal and milk and of course the traditional breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon and several varieties of sausage. The coffee bar had several blends available and it was hot and very good. There was a pancake machine but I did not try it out, will do that on my next visit.
Our group was attending a church conference in the area and stayed here. Lobby, rooms and facility seemed updated, clean and inviting. Everything worked in the room. Wireless internet was surprisingly fast (around 9Mbps). Furniture was mostly pretty nice. Mattress and pillows were comfortable and provided a good night sleep. There were plenty of electrical outlets for my CPAP machine and electronics. I interacted with the staff only to check in and out, but they were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. I only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay more. I didn't need the fridge and microwave but it was nice to have them as options. There were plenty of restaurants around (I recommend the Blue Dog Cafe). It was near enough our conference location. The streets are very busy there so be prepared when going into and out of the parking lot. At the wrong time of day, turning left out of the parking lot will be no easy task. Still, the neighborhood seemed safe. We never felt security was an issue. I would stay here again.
My family, friends & baseball team all stayed here for an entire weekend. This hotel is beautiful. The staff was extra friendly.. especially the breakfast lady. She was amazing and went above & beyond. The rooms were SO clean, comfortable beds, awesome amenities, pool was nice/clean.. no complaints whatsoever. We will stay here again when we are in the area!
We stayed overnight as we were traveling to New Orleans. Our room was comfortable with good beds and a small refrigerator. The coffee and breakfast was good. My husband swam in the indoor pool. We would stay there again.
I recently used Holiday Inn Express and the service was absolutely the best I have ever encountered. When I first called there were no rooms available so I asked to be put on the waiting list. I didn't think they would actually call. But they did, I spoke with Ashley and Ferrah at least 15 times because I had to make some calls regarding the event we would be in town for. Not only were they polite but they were friendly and very kind. The went above and beyond in dealing with and responding to my very unorganized and crazy mess of a reservation. I highly recommend HIE. This was a family trip but I will be using them for business trips from now on.
Booked this hotel and it was as expected. Breakfast was alright and the rooms were as you would expect. One complaint we had was there were hairs on some of the towels. A little gross, but we arrived so late that we didn't have a lot of time to complain. I've stayed in several Holiday Inns and this one wasn't the greatest. Maybe I just got unlucky on my one night stay. Front desk seemed nice and helped us find a place to eat. Randol's Restaurant is down the road and had some good southern food. Try the bacon jack chicken!
