Our room was awful - right next to loud exit

Lovely old hotel, but the weekend we were there was so busy that we couldn't even find a chair at the pool. And in the pool, there were tons of kids with pool toys, making it look like an amusement park. Plus, there was loud music. We were hoping for a restful time but that was impossible. And one more thing: Except for Tortilla soup, there wasn't;t a single vegan dish on the dinner or breakfast menu -- nothing. In this day and age, that is really unacceptable. The hostess said the chef, "sometimes" could rustle up something, when he wasn't too busy. That wasn't encouraging. And since there are no restaurants within walking distance, we had to drive for all meals -- again, so much for relaxation. The place quieted down by Monday morning, when we had to leave. Maybe they should have warned us not to come on the weekend.

Well it's kinda of nice place. The furniture was in new condition. The cleanlyness was bad. We had to have the cleaning crew come to the new room because there was some dark fluids spilled on the floor when we entered the room. The carpets were kinda of gross which we later learned was because the cleaning crew never vacumed the room the 3 days we were there. And with kids...well cracker crumbs snd the like will just work their way into the sheen. And there were a lot of kids there. Next the restaurants were not bad but really overpriced for what they were. The grounds were very nice and the pool area was cleaned pretty quickly after a heavy rain. i know false advertising has become standard practice in the industry. But 33 dollar a day resort fee is not optional and therefore part of the price so inlcude it in the price. Guests will appreciate honesty. You would be surprised. Not to mention 30 plus for parking is just absurd for a hotel not in a downtown area. Would i go back? Probably not.

Close to hiking trails at Torrey Pines park. Pet friendly.

We were there for a wedding. Everything was wonderful.

Gorgeous quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We had a great stay. The pool area is so relaxing.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Helpful staff. Free local shuttle a big plus.

This is our second time staying at this property. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is terrific. Coming from Pennsylvania to Southern California. The hotel is at an ideal location to enjoy the area. The valet staff go above and beyond. With recommendations of places to eat. Directions for quickest routes to different locations. And of course bottles of water for every trip.

Great hotel! Food and customer service are fantastic. However the additional fees surprised us. They told us that we will have complementary wine and water but at the end they charged us for the bottle of wine, the water and the WiFi, on top of the room cost and the resort fee. Still, it was a great place and the staff was extremely friendly!

Booked at the Estancia through Orbitz. Three minutes from Estancia was notified they were over booked and had rebooked me at the Hyatt near Sea World. With all the kids. Not acceptable.

I would have given this hotel full 5/5 rating except for the surprise at checkout. I was not aware that I would be charged $25/day to park my own car in the parking lot, plus another $25/day for "hospitality." I was told the hospitality charge was because of the additional facilities they have on site such as the spa (which I didn't have a chance to use). So remember to add $50/day to your daily rate. Personally I find that extremely deceptive.

Excellent grounds and hotel and very friendly and accommodating staff.

We stayed here for NYE. Comfortable, decent price, great decor. I would book here again without hesitation.

this is a over priced hotel, watch for the hidden fees like wifi water in your room and parking
