Property is located just outside of the square in La Fortuna and gives “white lotus vibes”. We did go in their off season but felt like we had the property to ourselves. Loved being able to message on WhatsApp and immediately get a response. Breakfast each morning was great! Would recommend!

As many folks have already mentioned, pictures do not do justice to this place. We stayed in a deluxe 2 bed villa and we loved it. Breakfast was very good as well. If hot springs is not a priority for your stay, this should be your go to hotel in La Fortuna area.

Our room was very nice and fairly new, however the master shower could be looked into from the room next door, as well as the walkway out front by restaurant. Staff was mostly nice, however the restaurant service was very bad just about every meal. There was also construction at the gym/fitness area that caused much dust and noise, closing off areas. And there was a pool also closed for construction. Another issue was the lack of laundry service, especially since the electric (air conditioning) shuts off in room when you leave, so the humidity builds up and nothing ever dries.

Boutique Casa del Rio exceeded all my expectations! The property is very lush, beautiful, and well-maintained, and so convenient that it’s close to town. The staff are very friendly and the hearty breakfast included is amazing. The rooms are well laid out and spacious, including the bathroom with a large walk-in shower and the most powerful rain showerhead. This is the most efficiently run property I’ve ever stayed at!

We loved staying at the Hotel Boutique Casa Del Rio. The staff was extremely gracious and helpful. Everyone we met seemed happy to work there. Our room, tucked away in a lovely oasis-like environment, was very clean and comfortable. I loved the grounds and the restaurant. And we got to see howler monkeys along the river!

All staff were friendly and accommodating. Alex was especially helpful, recommending and making reservations for restaurants as well as other accommodations. Our room was clean, spotless every day. We loved watching squirrel monkeys from our balcony and hanging out by the pool. The location was very convenient to walk to beaches and restaurants.

We failed to receive a confirmation on our booking so assuming the booking didn’t go through we booked another one. Once arriving at the hotel we were told we had two rooms booked and had to pay for both. The hotel refused to refund us our money on the second one.

It was clean, the staff was helpful, the grounds were immaculately kept up, and the jungle was all around you. But it was still a little odd. It was kind of like staying in a Minecraft luxury hotel room however it was very private and lovely.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! The room was beautiful, clean, and solid! Breakfast was okay and should provide more options. The balcony was cute and well lit. We stayed for 6 nights and it was worth it! They provided the best customer service, including, booking our tours.
