I stayed in the Melia Maria Pita with my family, there were 6 of us and we stayed in three rooms. The hotel is in an excellent location and if sea views are your thing it's well worth paying a little extra for a sea view room (which my parents did). The bar staff were very attentive and gave a great service, due to the €10 per room per night offer we visited the bar every night of our 5 night stay. The hotel was so close to an excellent rating but we had a couple of small issues. The air con was very poor (if it was working at all) and we had a couple of hot days during our stay where it'll would have been appreciated. We also asked the hotel to book a table for us at 20.30 at a restaurant that we wanted to try, the next day the receptionist told us that they didn't confirm the booking as the restaurant wanted the table back at 23.15. When we confirmed that 3hrs for a meal would be ample time they said that they would confirm the booking. We were told the next day that the restaurant was now fully booked. We walked over to the restaurant ourselves that afternoon and had no problem booking a table. This may have been a language issue on my part as May Spanish is a little limited but it was a little frustrating none the less All in all we would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting la Coruna
In an excellent location beach front this hotel offers a great package; location; stylish rooms with amazing views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean; very professional front desk staff. In this regard a special thanks to Carla for her excellent skills and hospitable manner. Room service was prompt and offered a very good variety. We opted to stay in and watch the sunset with our in room dinning set in front of the windows. Room was spacious and attractive modern furnishings. I requested a high level room and was accommodated. Parking on site at a hefty cost of €17 p/n however it was right below - very convenient. Bonus located on a corner so easy drive up drop off access upon arrival. Vicki Sydney Australia
We came as a family group, the hotel is in an excellent position for the beach and sightseeing in A Coruna. The bar staff in particular were very friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed 2 nights in late April 2017. Room was good size with nice appointments. I noticed no in room coffee maker, as i like to have a cup as i get ready. No iron board but suspect one might be available on request. Did not spring for the extra ~12-16 euro for room with view and still enjoyed the room. Good size room for Europe, and nice bathroom. Hotel faces the water, and was directly across street from the beach. The breakfast was good with hot items, drinks, pastries, etc. To my surprise, my last morning involved a very early departure and they had a 5 am buffet as well. Was no hot items at that time, but still good with all other items. The front desk was extremely helpful in providing directions, recommendation, and arranging a early morning cab. Spoke good English as well. Hotel itself seemed to be very well maintained. Had a gym that i did not use. Was a short walk to many places to eat or have a drink. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if ever in La Coruna.
The staff is extremely helpful and made all the efforts to attend our requests. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good and there’s a lot of variety. The hotel location is perfect, it has a great ocean view however you have to pay an extra 12 euros as a fee to have it. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you Melia Maria Pita for having us.
Stayed 3 nights in a non seaview room. Request for high floor quiet room was met. Room (425) was good, quiet and comfortable with strong wi-fi. Excellent breakfast was a real bonus. Staff were very helpful and location was perfect for our short break, we walked everywhere and enjoyed La Coruna very much.
The best hotel in Spain.Nice room and great staff.Excellente view at the ocean.Very clean and confortable room...I will stay en the same hotel when visit A Coruna..next time for sure...Good and nice staff ready to help you all the time..Thank you...
A superior excellence level from all employees. All stay was perfect with all employees showing a great behavior. This is one on the superior hotels you can find in La Coruña for your business trips .
Very nice hotel at the end of La Coruña Bay, clear blue waters, very nice site. Was upgraded to a ocean-view room. Breakfast was very good, even includig cava. Was on a half-board plan and had dinner every night. It was good and drinks were not expensive. By booking through their website could get 10 Euros credit per nighr which we use during dinner for drinks. Hotel is 300m away from the best city restaurant, "El de Alberto" which is a must in La Coruña. Parking costs 20 Euros a night, but with Melia Rewards it is 16 Euros a night. Would come back.
We liked a lot the view and the room but usually Melia Hotels offer good quality of service and room. So to me the most value here is the location in front of the beach and near to the center, nice to go walking to almost all the sightseeing.
