We stayed for 4 nights. Arriving at almost midnight, check in was friendly and quick. We had a twin room with sea view. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great! Good selection, my son loved the fact we had churros too!!! We even treated ourselves to room service one night after walking for hours and ordered the Delicius Hamburger, very tasty! Beach is right opposite and is clean and beautiful. Reception were so good at giving directions and recommendations where to go and eat. Very helpful. Dont worry if you forget a razor, toothbrush or shampoo. They have enough in the bathroom. Close to old town a 15 min walk. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing i missed in room was the lack of coffee or tea maker other than that, brilliant.
We booked a 3 night stay in this hotel, including breakfast. We payed the small difference for a sea view room. The room was very clean and large. The beds were comfortable enough but a bit on the hard side. The bathroom had a great shower, but not enough room to put all of our usual stuff. The lighting was excellent, though. Breakfast every day was one of the best ever! A huge selection of choices, both hot and cold, and very tasty. Full of all kinds of cakes as well. The staff were always very kind and helpful, answering our questions with a smile. The sea view was absolutely wonderful and we found ourselves photographing it all the time and at every hour so as not to forget it! We found La Coruna to be a beautiful city. This hotel is in walking distance from the old part of the city.We parked our rented car in the street right next to the hotel, saving us an added expense. If we every have a chance to return to La Coruna, we will certainly return to the Melia Maria Pita hotel
We were in La Coruna for a wedding and chose this hotel based on the Melia reputation and we were not disappointed. Check in was very efficient and Patrica provided a warm welcome. The facilities at the hotel are very good and the restaurant and bar staff could not do enough for us. If I had 1 negative to report would be we asked for our bedding to be changed and this was not done on 2 occasions, very minor I know but slightly disappointing.
We had the duplex suite on the top floor and the view was just fantastic. Very nice room with all the amenities. Restaurant was good and efficient service. However, a few things missing: there is no real concierge service and valet parking feels like an afterthought.
Staying at the Maria Pita hotel (try room 507!) in very pleasing Sea Facing room with a magnificent view. This an excellent stay , extremely helpful and experienced desk staff and the interesting sites and good resturants all a short walk away.
The reception was a little off putting. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable just what you would expect from a 4* hotel. There was no WOW. Breakfast was good and typical continental plus scrambled eggs and cooked bacon and mushrooms. The parking is extremely tight suggest you use the valet to park you car then check for scratches. We didn't have a sea view just a room looking at another building at just slightly less than 100 euros per night out of season and booked in advance
We stayed here for two nights and found the hotel very good. If arriving by car there is a pull in area outside the entrance where you can unload your luggage. Alternatively if you have prebooked the underground parking the entrance is approximately 100 metres at the end of the building. A buzzer system allows you to speak to reception for access. Once in the car park you can unload luggage and walk straight to the lifts to connect with reception and rooms. Check in was quick and friendly and they gave us a map and information of the surrounding area. We had a spacious room on the third floor which had a superb view down the beach promenade and around the bay. The room was as you would expect of Melia and was well appointed with comfortable beds. The spacious bathroom was also very good with excellent shower and a wide range of toiletries. Aircon we found was not very effective but was not a problem for the time of year we visited in mid September. Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent, one of the most comprehensive selections of any hotel we have stayed in. Wifi was free and worked well. The other plus point worth mentioning is the location, opposite a well maintained beach and only 20 minutes walk to the main area for restaurants, shops etc. The hotel also has a restaurant and a good bar with very friendly service. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return.
Arrived close to midnight just for one night before embarking a ship. Beautiful location by the sea and long beach. Rooms are confortable and clean. All as expected. And then the breakfast. What a feast!! Fantastic offering of all you could think of and more. Great tapas, great selection of cold cuts.
This hotel has a fabulous location overlooking the bay and beach. The staff were very friendly and the room was ideal, a Kids and Co duplex with plenty of space for the 4 of us. A few things were a little strange but did not spoil our experience. We stayed for 11 nights and yet even though on check in I had provided my credit card details I was asked after 4 nights to go to reception and settle my current bill. We had exceeded the hotels credit limit of €600 apparently. I asked if I would have to pay again in another 4 or 5 days and was informed 'probably'. This didn't happen. I've never stayed in a hotel before and had to part pay my running bill. We had to ask on a couple of occasions for our in room coffee to be replaced. The cleaning was spotless and we were never short of soap etc but no coffee and sometimes dirty cups were not replaced. We had a balcony as advertised but absolutely no furniture which again was strange and in a way made the balcony pointless as we didn't fancy sitting on the floor. Non of this spoilt our holiday and are very minor points but just made the overall stay a little peculiar. We would return.
Stayed here for two nights, the rooms, facilities, staff / reception and location were excellent. I contacted the hotel prior to my visit to arrange a taxi and received a prompt response. Highly recommended hotel.
