This hotel has a 10/10 location. The river is really nice and they put canopies and chairs by the water. Hotel is fixed up and very clean. I lost my wallet and the hotel staff found many children to help me look. It was in my bag

Worst beds ever!

The two beds in the room were the worst ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put goid mattresses in your Rooms! You have a 9.4 rating. Not sure what the public was rating. The beds were the worst mattresses I've ever had to sleep on!! The Ice machine was for One Customer only. I wish all hotels had to have a certain standard to be renting rooms to the public.

I've driven by this property many, many times and never stopped. But what a great spot. Lounging/bbq areas and firepits right on the river. The lodge next door is beautiful and has pool, foosball and a great deck overlooking the river

Great little spot right on Hwy 50. Recently renovated with an incredibly comfy bed and soft sheets. A very convenient place to stop for the night with lovely seating areas by the river. As others have noted, not a lot of food options nearby so plan ahead.

Lovely place. Early in the morning can hear the river running & you can hear the forest. Access to the river. Approx 30mins from South Lake Tahoe. Will stay again. There are grilles in the premises.

Kyburz Gem is Perfect!

Absolutely charming little inn tucked inside the Eldorado National Forest only a bit more than half hour past Lake Tahoe outside Carson City. You can’t imagine any setting much better! The room: pristine clean; modern, renovated, sheets soft as butter and a memory foam mattress you will think you are a baby in a cradle! Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Pretty new hardwood like flooring - no gross carpet. Heat lamp and plenty of hot water for shower. Only negative for us - no restaurant so we went a mile down the road to a 76 gas station and picked up giant pack of all beef Kirkland hot dogs $9.99, buns, and breakfast snacks. Came back and cooked them on the grill outside watching the beautiful sunset, and hearing the rapids of the American River. Several areas for relaxing, outdoor fire pits with plenty of wood. Pet friendly. Definitely will come again.
