An unforgettable experience, from the spacious and comfortable rooms with great views, through the wellness and fittness amenities, all the way down to the fantastic breakfast. We loved the outdoor jacuzzi. Much recommended. Only minus I could think off is that it was almost impossible to shower without wetting the whole bathroom.
Decent and clean hotel, fair pricing, polite and hospitable staff. However, checkout for me (one person) lasted 10 minutes, because I asked for company invoice! The same procedure at the bar (paying the drinks and cofee and getting company invoice) took 15 minutes! Unbelievable! What is the management doing???
My stay at thisHotel was great. Being on the Lungomare walkgave you a wonderful opportunityto explore the little coastalvillages in peace away from traffic. Opatija is BEAUTIFUL. The Hotel rooms wereclean and spaciousand the food was well cooked and varied. The weather during my stay was not good so could not comment on availability of sun beds.Bus station nearby allowed visits to Riecka, Lovorno and Volosko. Great hotel. GLAD i visited. Staff both friendly and helpful.
The hotel was in an excellent location with great pools inside and out. Very handy for walking along the promenade. The rooms were small but had all that we needed. The cleaners were efficient. The food was good at breakfast and dinner. Great selection of fish and meats. Would be improved with coffee making facilities in rooms.
The hotel is well situated for Opatija- on the Lungo Mare path overlooking the marina. Good sized modern rooms, balconies overlooking sea/ marina. Ask for an upgrade ( free) to a premium room on 6 th floor as there access to a communal verandah with sun beds and hot tub, plus bathrobes in the rooms. Ample parking available E10-12 a day. Safes and mini bar fridge in rooms no irons but have a laundry service. Communal sitting space in lobby and on the verandah with small bar. Lots of bus tours stop here so a large changeover of older people each day. A small hotel shop outside that opened in the mornings, and an external coffee shop that opened into the night. Indoor swimming pool and beauty centre- recommend the beauty therapist. Gym well kitted out. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Spoke English . Dining room all buffet style food but a large selection and tasty & hot food- you will find something you like. Housekeeping - rooms are 'tidied' but not cleaned and sheets not changed - the towels are changed daily. Air conditioning a bit odd some days it cooled other days it heated.
This hotel has a lot going for it as it is situated on the marina with clean modern rooms. However, it is spoilt by the way it is run. I went to the bar at 1900 only to find the no staff on the entire floor. After 5 minutes someone finally appeared at the reception desk saying that he was the only person on and he was eating his dinner. Apparently the bar man was down serving drinks in the restaurant and would not be back in the bar until 2100. A good hotel is supposed to be managed to cater for the needs of all it's guests not just those who eat in the restaurant.
There were eight of us, four couples. The hotel was great and in s prime location overlooking the marina out over the Adriatic. Breathtaking. Food was good. Staff were good and very friendly. Had to be very early for a sun bed around the pool. We never bothered hand went to a spot 2 minutes away which was better. 110 kunas (about £10) for two beds and a brolley. Stunning coastline. Would definitely go again.
This was really nice hotel, rooms are on spot, clean, with nice view. I think Opatija is not the greatest place to visit on summer vacation since there is no proper beach in town, only concrete beaches that look horrific but town itself is beautiful as this hotel is really on spot!
The hotel staff go above and beyond, the front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating an earlier check in time and at check out we left our luggage at the hotel and spent the afternoon by the pool until our departure. The restaurant staff, efficient, loyal....most of them have been with the hotel for almost 20 years, the service is fantastic... The meal option plan, we had was the half board which included breakfast and dinner...great options, quality and very delicious...except any drinks were not included and the prices and expensive. The hotel room, we had a great view of the marina with a spacious balcony, located on the third floor, very clean, comfortable and quiet. It has a shower tub, you need to climb into and it is higher than average. Outdoor pool...loved it....salt water, with lounge chairs and umbrella's....the hotel provided us with beach towels. I participated in morning aerobics, energetic and knowledgeable fitness instructors. The pool area has a bar, drinks and pool side meals, we enjoyed lunch by the pool...it was really good. Location...couldn't beat it ..steps from the centre of town and the bus stop...we arrived by bus and walked up the street to the hotel. It was a great walkway by the marina that goes around the sea front, lined with tons of cafes, restaurants and shops. Would recommend it and can't wait to go back !
This is our first visit to Croatia - what a beautifully stunning country! Plus points of hotel: -Spotlessly clean and good housekeeping - wide choice of food at dinner and breakfast - excellent location - young waiter with glasses was very attentive & efficient - the balcony and hot tub on our floor were fantastic - modern room (although there are some older ones at the other side of the hotel, I believe) - wifi was very reliable and free (the best we've ever had & we're seasoned travellers) - there's a supermarket 5 minutes away to stock up on cheap bottled water & snacks - I had an excellent massage for about £19.00 - helpful staff when my son needed a doctor. Even better if... - the air con could make the room cooler - the salt water pool was traditional chlorine (the salt stung my son's eyes) - personal preference though, I suppose - tap water was served at dinner time. It's safe to drink (apparently) but you're charged a lot of money for mineral water - dessert was not so repetitive. It could have been that they were different each night but looked the same due to all being cut the same shape. I would come back here again. It's a lovely hotel. I felt very safe in Opatija & was impressed with the doctor that we saw. (About £30 for the consult including antibiotics and ear drops - we only had to wait for about 2 mins... it's not that quick in England.) Opatija has not yet got a McDonald's, Cineworld, etc yet - bliss! Definitely recommend.
