We are on a tour of Croatia and this is one of the hotels our tour provider choose. We are pleased to say, they did a great job. From the start of our check-in to checkout, we were thankful for their choice. Our room was spacious based on their standards and came with a huge bed that was just like home. And, the pillows and comforter were superb. As usual, it came with all of the creature comforts that we are accustomed to using. The view was overlooking the sea which is perfect. I'm pretty sure that they have done some upgrading or their maintenance program is fantastic as everything in our room and everywhere in the hotel was as close to perfection as you can get. Both the breakfast and supper buffet offer such a comprehensive offering, that all tastes would be covered. And, everything was hot and fresh - just like I want, but don't always get. Interaction with staff was minimal, but what we had was 5 star.
The first stop on our tour. 2 nights here. Adequate but the towels are very thin and the hotel controls the air conditioning. Thus, we had none. A little warm. We were also introduced to what was the pattern in all the hotels in the Balkans - no to sheet. Just a comforter. That is fine if your a/c is working. Very warm when it is not. As we traveled, we came to learn no top sheet is the norm here. We are on a tour, so we did not select the hotel. Breakfast with is included and was good. Bottom line - nothing special.
We were given room 402 with seaview. Great room and bathroom. The buffet dinner and breakfast were also great. Wifi very strong. Good location on main road. The kind of hotel I would always choose. the room and bed was very comfortable.
Newly renovated room in Grand Hotel Adriatic II with a great sea view from the terrace. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet. The water in the pool was not so warm but the view from the spa area was amazing.
We spent 2 nights here and were happy with the room, location, buffet breakfast, and staff. The room was neat and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had a shower plus tub, the tv had many channels (only 4 in English---News stations), and the buffet breakfast had a variety of meat and nonmeat items. The location was across the street from the sea and restaurants/bars were close by (beginning about a 5 minute walk away). Finally, the staff were pleasant and quick to respond to concerns. We enjoyed our stay,
Yes, the rooms are okay but nothing special. The breakfast is typical holiday type, lots of choices and not bad. During my stay it was mainly occupied by groups of USA, Korean and Japanese tourists traveling through Croatia. The towels can use an upgrade since they are quite thin. Good free internet throughout the hotel.
Location seems to be toward the end of the main street. The rooms look like they have been renovated recently, comfortable beds, spacious room, mini bar, nice clean bathroom. Very large selection for breakfast, much better than I had expected. We stayed here on a bus tour, so we did not pay directly for the room, so I am not sure of the price. However, the room and breakfast exceeded my expectations. Rooms were quiet since it is slightly off the main drag, and is up a bit of a hill. I assume if you ask for rooms on the back, it would be dead quiet.
The room was OK, clean and practical. Pool outdoors very nice. Breakfast included with good selection tion but it's room was very loud and the coffee not really super. Parking very difficult to access.
Opatija is amazing, but the great hotel is certainly a bonus. love everything about it especially atmosphere and friendly stuff. Food is great, rooms could be bigger, but that is all you need for a weekend anyways. Love Nimfa restaurant, love the bar, love the SPA and the pool...perfect relax weekend
Hotel used to be one of the best in Opatija, but it realy needs refurbishing. I did get a “new room”, but refurbishing was so poorly done. The towels are terribly old. Staff is nice, but not very productive. Even if the hotel is not very expensive (compared to others in Opatija), if it isn’t absolutely necessary, I would not come here anymore.
