It appears the rooms in the hotel are just refurbished. Excellent job. Staff at @ front office and lounge was excellent too. Though the lounge was nice and clean but the food and drinks served were not of Marriott standard. Location very good. Very near to IOA mall. One can walk there.
This is a great hotel located away from the traffic of Kuala Lumpur. If your business is outside the city and you are looking for a quite place to stay that has easy access this is a good choice. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the hotel restaurants are good too. Umi and Nelson always great you by name at breakfast and make you feel welcome. The hotel guest rooms have also been renovated over the last year and the lobby is being renovated now. It also has a great pool.
I have stayed in this hotel many times and after each stay, the standard seems to be going down a notch. I noticed that there is a renovation being done currently with the lobby area but other parts of the hotel also need a serious upgrade. The room feels very dated and tired. One good thing though, the friendliness of the staff is still very admirable.
Very nice hotel, older, but keep in renovation, have swimming pool, spa, gym, very good gastronomy restaurants, renovating reception now, especially very good Indian cousine at brekfast buffet. Fresh juice, made at bar.
Hotel under renovation but has not much disruption. Met this guy named Christopher during breakfast, thanks for the fantastic juices! Nice ambience and friendly staffs around. The room is clean and cosy with nice view.
This was a walk into the 1980’s on entering the lobby. Decor was totally dated and tired. The organisation was also a complete mess in the reception area/ foyer. On checking into hotel and making my way to my room, I discovered that previous occupant had only just left and room had not been cleaned. The complimentary shuttle to KL Airport was non existent and instead offered to get me a Limo Service. Please avoid this establishment at all cost, I have stayed in various Marriotts across the world and this gives the group a bad name.😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Marriott is a wellknown brand, but the one in Putrajaya would need to improve a lot to catch up with that fame. Actually, that may explained why the cost is quite lower than regular. When I drove to the car park, I thought I went into some rundown, 30 years-old car park near a small town fish market. After overnight parking, you probably find some old ceiling dropped on your car like I did. Some feeling with the elevator and by then I believed it was a 3 stars hotel. We came in group with 8 rooms booking. I already carefully inform reservation about this to arrange nearby rooms and also spa reservations but when I arrived the reservation was pretty much messed up. The check-in staff was very patient holding all of us in 1 desk for 40-50 min to sort things out until we had to ask "can you share your load to next empty desk to speed up?" then it became faster. Some other staffs also not so professional, I was pushed back and forth between 2 staffs who told me I should get what I want from the other staff until 1 of them told me "Come" (!!just 1 word, yes) so that 2 staffs can talk together. The room was with nice view and it's still definitely far from 5 star. You can find some time-imprint stains around. The swimming pool was particularly dirty on first day we came that none of us dear to dip in and we complained, so the next day it was much better. Overall, it really needs a major renovation
I used to stay at this hotel for 1 night only. Nearby my office, which is located at Cyberjaya. I'll stay here if I'm too tired of working during the weekday and usually stay here for Friday and Saturday (checkout). Friendly hotel staff. Not much parking available.
We stayed at the Marriott Hotel Putrajaya as (SPG Mariott Gold Card holders), on the last night of our holiday, due to it's proximity to KLIA. Check-in was positive with the front of house staff greeting us and confirming both a room upgrade and a late check-out. Our Room was on the "Executive Floor" and appeared at first glance to be small but well proportioned, with en-suite, minibar, coffee making facilities built in wardrobe etc. However on closer examination the room was grubby, having bare floor boards didn't help the situation and the dated and tired bathroom added insult to injury. As we booked for just the one night, the room was adequate and we decided to make the best of the situation by vising the executive lounge, this didn't fair much better however by the staff being busy chatting among themselves or constantly checking their mobile phones. On one occasion my friend requested a coffee, which was served in between the member of staff texting. The ground floor area's of the hotel have all seen better days, including the ornate lobby, which although impressive looks shabby and under maintained. The mini amusement arcade / karaoke lounge is tacky and not in keeping with the status of the hotel. One lift we used had a wet slippery floor and a card reader hanging off the wall, and the ornate entrance features are all dirty and sadly in need of maintenance. Shortly before checking out, we rang reception to request a porter to assist with our luggage, despite waiting 20 minutes , no one showed up leaving us to attend to our belongings ourselves, however within the reception several members of staff were all chatting or opening doors or playing with their phones, busy it would seem, doing nothing. All of which indicates, a poor or misspend maintenance budget and a lack of management/discipline among management and staff. Having used the Marriott brand extensively, we are surprised that this hotel is maintained within the estate portfolio, as it barely, in our opinion warrants a 3 -Star rating. Regrettably therefore we are unable to recommend this hotel to our fellow travellers.
Stayed 8 nights while at the Grand Prix, lovely breakfast, had some nice juices made in the morning by the man that works in the area around the tea and coffee station - he knows who he is! All the staff are very friendly, Food lovely. Room good. Everyone helpful. Cannot fault it. Big shopping centre a few minutes walk away. Pool is a nice area.
