We have just had a terrific break at the hotel. The staff were particularly friendly and, following a major hiccup caused by me, they went the extra mile to solve it. We had breakfast on two mornings. There was a good choice of cold dishes (cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries, salmon and salad). There was also a choice of several hot egg dishes. The first floor room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are however, a couple of drawbacks. The location of the hotel is in the centre of lots of amenities and the outfall of these can be noisy. I usually stay in busy areas without a problem but the noise insulation of the windows needs to be improved. The large curtains helped a little with the noise but the air-con unit was placed behind them making it ineffective. This is a quality hotel with excellent staff and I would be happy to stay there again but improved noise insulation would help considerably.
a nice clean and pleasant hotel with great location in the city centre. staff friendly and helpful. my only issue was that we did not realise breakfast was not included (costs 40zl) which is not an issue except they make you pay for the breakfast before you eat which no one was expecting. there was only one girl serving and she was so rushed off her feet by explaining people had to pay, making people go back to their rooms for credit cards, cards not going through etc that it was really hard to get her attention just to get another coffee which was not in the buffet. you can get a better cheaper breakfast on the square without the palaver
We stayed here recently and found it to be ideally situated , being just off the busy main square , but close enough ( a 3-4 minute stroll ) to enable one to enjoy the bars, restaurants, shops, and architecture of the centre.... Our hotel room was comfortable, well equipped, and spotlessly clean, the staff I encountered were very polite and helpful, and although we didn’t make use of the bar area it certainly looked well stocked and cozy. Breakfast was also most enjoyable with attentive staff and a decent selection from the buffet or something cooked from the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily use it again, as we had a most excellent stay ....
very central, quiet, very friendly, small traditional hotel with fantastic breakfast. very comfortable beds, great showers. it had dining room, cafe & small bar within hotel.we, 4 young ladies, had lovely stay on 3 night city break.
My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay. We arrived at about eleven am and even though we were very early our room was ready. The lady on reception was lovely and looked very smart. Our room (105) was a good size and with a very nice bathroom. Both the room and ensuite were both immaculately clean and well equipped. The room has aircon, tea/coffee facilities, a tv and minibar. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and came with lovely toiletries and a hairdryer. The hotel is a period property with lovely furnishings, the staff are all uniformed and elegant and without exception lovely and helpful. Room 105 is a nice quiet room but has no view, we didn't mind at all. The hotel is a twenty meter walk from the main square and is perfectly located, just far enough away to be peaceful and close enough for convenience. Breakfast was of a continental style with the option of eggs in various ways and was very nice. Krakow was STUNNING and I would highly recommend it. It goes without saying that Auschwitz, Schindler museum and salt mines are worth visiting, the real star of our stay was all of the restaurants and cafe's, staffed by lovely warm people. To some it up this is a super hotel in a near perfect location and I heartily recommend it. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in April 2018 and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel's location could not be better. It is located in a relatively quiet street about 5 minutes walk from the Old Town square. There are countless bars and restaurants within a short walk. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The service was excellent too. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel has a well stocked bar and the restaurant food is really good too. Overall we could not fault it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Old Town we would highly recommend the Amadeus.
We stayed here a couple of days and were very pleased. Great location in the old town, close to everything. Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, modern bathroom and air condition that worked well. Can recommend this hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it. A friendly, characterful city hotel about 5mins walk from the central square. First night we were kept awake by road noise, mostly drunk voices. When we asked if we could move room, the staff moved us from the first to the third floor. Much quieter! However, room 304 has a very smelly heater in the room. The staff were very helpful and conscientious and we enjoyed our stay.
Had a lovely time staff very nice room nice spotless breakfast good would go back to the hotel again Mrs Baxter ayr scotland Krakow was really lovely done Auschwitz and ghetto Jewish quarters and schindlers factory tours where brilliant and restaurants where great ate polish Italian and hard rock cafe great
4 out of 5 Pros: Location- 3 minutes walk from the main square Room size Helpful staff Valet parking 🅿 Cons: Poor choice for breakfast Needs updating, i.e. Heating system was either Arctic cold or lava hot 🔥 Overall a good place to stay and explore Krakow
