This is a great hotel in the middle of the city. It is not really big but very friendly and clean and for this price range it is very good value for money. Around the corner you’ll find “beer house “ which is a great micro brewery pub
Booked the hotel originally for one night, very nice staff and amazing bell boy, told front desk if I liked the hotel I would stay for 5 nights she said she will respect the rate, the day after, was a very rude guy in front desk that double the price when I told him my desire of staying 5 more nights, so I book another place( which actually was wayyyy nicer) the front desk man was extremely rude, is asked him if he could give me at least 30 more minutes to do the check out(had an emergency) he said a big NO.. the hotel is nice, but some front desk guy is very rude
The hotel is in a great location close to the main town square and the park that surrounds the historic area. We got a great big room, the staff were so friendly and helpful for restaurant reservations. The only complaint’s I have it was noisy due to its location over a street with bars and restaurant’s, so bring ear plugs and the beds were small. The breakfast was wonderful, worth a stay
Me and my mum stayed at the Amadeus 4/10/17 - 7/10/17. We didn't initially book here but our original hotel was having problems and found us a room here. As this wasn't where we had booked we were in a bit of a bad mood but the receptionist was helpful, put us in their biggest room and offered to phone our transfer and trip companies to tell them we had changed location. The décor is a bit sad and could probably do with some updating however the room was clean aswell as the bathroom, it got cleaned everyday, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. I had read reviews about the gentlemen's club opposite was loud throughout the night however we were on the second floor and could see there from our window, we didn't hear a peep from the outside. The breakfast was nice and what you would expect to find, sausages, bacon, vegetables, cheese, meat, fruit, bread, yoghurts. One afternoon we wanted a drink in the hotel as it was pouring down which wasn't a problem but it was completely silent in the restaurant, so would of been nice to have some background music. Overall we enjoyed our stay here even though it wasn't what we was expecting, good location and the little map the receptionist gave us at the desk was a lifesaver and really helped us around.
Grim entrance to the hotel, rooms clean and comfortable excellent bathroom. Good hospitality tray. The staff on reception were courteous and helpful. The negative for us was breakfast, the hot tray contained no bacon and only one dried up hard sausage. The bread for toasting was hard and the toaster itself was faulty. We stayed for five days alas there was no improvement, although we asked the staff for bacon etc it never arrived we survived on the eggs. Shame as good in other areas.
We stayed for 2 nights and were very pleased with our stay(room 302). The hotel had a lot of old world charm (much like the rest of krakow)and a very nice bathroom. It was in a great location near a market with shops and food and it was about a 2 block walk to Old Town square. Also not far from the Krakow Glowny main station. I would highly recommend Hotel Amadeus!
This has been my third time in Krakow and have always chosen this hotel. This small hotel has a unique style, much better than the modern chain of hotels we are all so used to, and is very well run. Great staff, lovely rooms and great location.
Hotel is situated right on the edge of the old town square, which is good for getting to see that area of Krakow. However, our room was overlooking the two roads leading out of the square and the traffic noise accompanied by the near by pubs, clubs and the gentlemen's club added to the noise and discomfort. The room offered to us was good. The bed was comfortable and the two donnas were heavy but ok. The bathroom was good, but no where to keep your own toiletries. Reception staff were good and really helpful when you need to book flights et cetera. Apart from the noise this hotel is in a really good location and within easy reach of just about everything. A tIp, though don't eat in the square as the prices are triple of those restaurants just off the square.
I stayed there 2 nights while in Krakow and thought the hotel was very decent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in a very good location. Breakfast was also very good.
The hotel location for access to the main square of the old town is great but the hotel itself is not good. Main entrance access is awful. Four steep steps to closed glass doors and wooden doors behind them. Not great for getting suitcases through. Bath towels too small, thin and shabby. The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast service was slow. Spent ten minutes waiting for someone take breakfast order then discovered the person who should be paying attention was sitting in a side room talking to the cook. Ordered an omelette which turned out to be anything but. The only saving grace for this hotel was that the AC was good. At the time I stayed there the outside daytime temperature was 40C.
