a hotel located in the middle of nowhere and that you not Can be taken from here easily and smoothly without it to cost the earth. We were alone at the hotel and enjoyed it. But not being able to get any opportunist to even buy fruit for lunch, after which the restaurant is closed and opens for dinner 18:30 and half the menu is taped over so you have to eat the same food every day. Tje rooms were very nice. but when you are no longer taking care of the it, which makes hanging lamps and wooden pieces here and there.
The villa was clean and nice...the staff kind and understanding...good for couples who look for romantic space...when I am there only two western ladies were there...then two families came the day I did checkout...its too isolate actually..so its good for families and couples..I will back there soon
Dirty and unsanitary conditions in the rooms and ''restaurant'' . Insects , cockroaches in the bed ! Cant sleep all night ... Towels are stained and with holes . Was there only 1 night after that cancelled our next days reservation .
I can say I am rather strict in rating my hotel stays, yet this is the first hotel that I rate for 5 stars on Tripadvisor. Situated on a quiet beach it offers a very convenient way to the airport, with a journey of less than 30 minutes - and if the driver drives fast - 20 minutes can do. This hotel is also located in an exceptional location with just 1.5 hours drive to Emerald Pool and the newly refurbished hot spring, which saves time from those who are departing from Ao Nang or Krabi Town that normally cost over 2 hours to get there. Again unlike areas such as Krabi Town and Ao Nang, it is located in a small fish town called Had Yao so it offers a very secluded environment and tranquility. I could really feel like being in a place that is undisturbed, and I enjoyed spending an hour walking on the sandy black beach, everything was perfect. With my family of 3 persons we booked two villas for 3 nights, one in Deluxe Villa and one in private pool villa. We did not inform the hotel that we were having a late arrival at 3am but the concierge was so smart to put the room key at the front desk - with every information on the table. Although we could manage to make our way to the villas on our own, the host, Ms Nopporn even welcomed us from her bed in the middle of the night and I was so touched. It was a coincidence to meet Nopporn as she was having a trip in Had Yao at that time. Not only was the nice touches from Nopporn but every staff at the resort were friendly and nice. They could even do the room service for the meal from the restaurant if it was not busy. My family had a really good time with Nopporn as she arranged a lovely car transfer with us to the Krabi night market with a stopover at Big C superstore. I even took the selfie with her! (Shhh!!!) The hotel also provides transfers to Emerald Pool and the hot spring upon request but what I suggest is to contact them beforehand if you are interested. The private pool in the villa is rather small but it can guarantee an ocean view from the bedroom and it has so many open spaces than other room types get. I could even enjoy the sunbathe in my own villa under the sunshine without being at the public area which was perfect to me. However, the Deluxe Villa is also nice enough to enjoy a beach resort gateway if you want to control your budget and don't mind to use the sun loungers next to the pool. I probably know why some people are saying this is in the middle of nowhere - but think about it - this is the meaning of a resort gateway isn't it? If you want to be crazy and binge drinking around at night, Krabi is barely to be a suitable choice for your travel destination. I was in Ao Nang at my last night in Karbi and I was so regret that I didn't return to Nantra for it. That explains how I love this place. I regret that I didn't stay longer here! On my next trip to Krabi I will definitely spend all of my nights at this resort!
From the management to the cleaning, from the restaurant to the room...everything was absolutely a disaster. This place is only good if you need a break from everything and just stay alone in the middle of nowhere with no food or any facilities. No shuttle bus to go even to the closer market for any primary needs such as pharmacy or food for our daughter as the hotel didn't have any. The restaurant was always running out of food and drinks or closed even at lunch time. We spent at least 20euro a day for taxi. The beach is not equipped and the swimming pool has only 10 seats and needs renovation as is dangerous even to walk around the area. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Cheap, clean private villas with great food and even better views. The pool and little restaurant are literally on the beach. This place is beautiful and quiet. You will most likely find yourself in the pool or on the beach with no one else but who you came with. They rent scooters if you want to venture out. They also offer tours to explore the 5 islands by boat at great prices. Anyone, like the people that gave this place bad reviews that are expecting perfection in this part of the world, I believe, have ridiculous expectations. It's hard to find so make sure you have the phone number so you're cab driver can call him/herself, as google maps will not get you to the right place. It's only 20 minutes from Krabi Airport. Watching the sunset over the ocean while lounging in the pool my first day here put me more at ease than I've been my whole trip.
We were looking for a place to stay and ended up here, in low season. We took the villa with private pool and it is absolutely stunning: a small private court yard with pool and a view over the infinity pool from the bedroom. Very friendly staff.
after a 7 hour journey from koh tao, we were looking forward to a bit of luxury, oh no not at all luxury, we had booked a deluxe villa, as a treat for new years eve, two nights at nantra deluxe. After one night we are now checking out and having to find somewhere else on new years eve! our deluxe villa was tatty and worn out, mould on the walls, holes in the wooden furnishing, and the list of items given were missing from the room. after paying forty two pounds a night we were disappointed to say the least!, we were upgraded to a suite, which was worse than the first room, lizards and bugs running around the room, wood worm in the door frames which were crumbling and falling apart, huge cracks over the ceiling an walls and missing skirting boards. the hotel was portrayed completely different on booking.com. The pool unsafe for anyone as it hasn't been grouted, it has sharp broken tiles, dangerous for any children, the decking is all broken up aswell. The general grounds are completely run down, and dirty. After speaking to a member of staff, she apologised but said there was nothing else at it was all the same, and that they would refund us the second night as we couldn't stay here. not really happy with the out come as new years is fully booked on krabi, we asked for some money back, to which they had to speak to the manager, and said they would come over and see us. After 2 hours of waiting i went to see the so called manger (dressed in Hawaiian shorts and top with flip flops, using the hotels amenities ) she reckons she hasn't had any complaints yet the problems are getting addressed in the new year, i said it doesn't look like the photos on the website, her response those photo were taken 8 years ago and he hasn't had anything done to it since then........FANTASTIC! breakfast was included so next morning with high hopes, we headed to breakfast only to be amazed at yet again how poor this was, the choice was eggs eggs or eggs, anyone for a plate of eggs? there was no menu just to be told eggs. I'm actually shocked at how this can be down as 4* hotel and be charging the prices that is does, i would recommended anyone to stay away as it will ruin there holiday!
This hotel is a disgrace! It should not be rated so highly and should certainly not be charging the rates it is. It reminds me of the scene from Papillon when he buys a boat only to find out it is useless and rotten. The condition was appalling! It has been let go to such an extent that it is dangerous and only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt. The pool decking is rotting and when I stood on one part my foot went straight through and this was left unrepaired, as with other big holes, for the duration of our 5 night stay. I watched children hand their parents broken pool tiles and I also scratched myself on a sharp edge. The chairs on our balcony were totally rusted and not usable! Why they were left there I can’t understand. The condition of just about everything was an absolute disgrace. It is like they are trying to milk every last drop out of a dying cow and charging for liquid gold. Other than one pleasant cleaning lady and a few obligatory pleasantries the staff seemed very unhappy but I can’t blame them working in such embarrassing conditions. At the “Restaurant “(?) we were charged extra for our 2 young children to eat breakfast which was also a disgrace –eggs, eggs or eggs + toast and jam. The coffee was not fresh and served with powdered milk. Needless to say we sacrificed our breakfast inclusion and seldom ate there again. This brings me to the next point, which is if you didn’t have your own transport you were pretty much stuck there. You are extremely isolated in a rural religious backwater with the nearest refuge Ks away. There is no infrastructure with even a 7/11 k’s away. Some would say this is a good thing but at these prices and conditions it’s a disgrace. The beach is covered in rubbish and black silt and isn’t really an option other than to admire the beautiful views out to the Andaman sea. There was no room safe as described and the security for this area is minimal to non-existent with the rooms being very unsecure. The telephone in the room wasn’t even connected, the water was only ever lukewarm and the a/c set at 23C, again probably to extract every last dime. As for the supposed manager! It was like she was a guest at this place swimming in the pool and walking her cat around on a leash. Why wasn’t she doing her job and trying to improve this place rather than enjoying herself? I was expecting the film crew for “Fawlty Towers” to arrive at any moment? Be warned the images portrayed on the website are not a true representation of the condition of the hotel. I would advise everyone to avoid this place. The owner’s should be guilt ridden for the scam they are perpetuating by misrepresenting the standard of this place. Hopefully they get a rude awakening when people eventually stop coming and they take a good long look at themselves. I felt robbed of my valuable holiday time and money and was extremely disappointed!!!!!! I can only say to the owner’s if they are Thai: ทำดีได้ดี ทำชั่วได้ชั่ว Do good receive good! Do bad receive bad!
Friendly staff and helpful staff. Although is a little far away from Krabi Town and Aonang Beach but the hotel does provide a very relaxing environment and clean private beach. The room are excellent with clean bath tub. The breakfast are tasty and fresh.
