We were group of 8 couples for holidaying. The resort has 9 villas which are only available to group travellers. The staff especially the care taker lady is very nice and courteous. Dinners were all freshly made and tasty Breakfast was also freshly made and quite adequate The property is now a bit old and in need of urgent repairs and refurbishing. The old wooden furniture is a bit dated and rooms need a fresh look. concept of Karoke room, electric piano and snooker on second floor is a unique lovely idea swimming pool is an apology and needs to be larger slightly far from the beach though. overall we had good time and experience
We spent few days in this hotel. It offers two-floors cottages: a room on the first floor and a room on the ground floor. The rooms are large and, to be honest, they are nice. The number of rooms is small and thus the number of guests is not large -- lovely and quiet place. Breakfast was ok. They offer Thai food and an European version of a morning meal. The pool is quite small and we didn't use it at all. Staff was polite and friendly but their English wasn't good enough to be attentive -- problems with understanding all the way. However, all necessary issues were resolved eventually. The hotel is located quite far from the beach. That wasn't problem for us. Nothing to complain here, everything was "ok" but I'm not entirely sure if would stay there again.
An absolutely charming and luxurious place to stay. Room could not have been more comfortable and the staff was so accommodating. It was an easy walk to town and there were some nice restaurants along the way. Becuase of the unevenness of the land, there are a lot of small steps which could be a problem for some.
Consists of 5 separate 2-storey buildings housing 10 rooms set in quiet location away from main tourist street. I'd requested an upstairs room but we got no.5 on ground floor, which was actually very nice and cool and had a fish pond by entrance. Room was large, beautifully clean and smelt divine, and outside was a lovely shady balcony, including clothes airer. Stunning spacious bathroom with bath and shower, and there was also a second separate toilet. Jasmine and frangipani bushes scent the air and there's a small swimming pool with 8 sunbeds on which clean towels are placed each day. I have to say that during our stay, the water was too far warm to be refreshing! Delicious breakfasts are served in the open-air restaurant above Reception by very friendly and helpful staff, and an iron/ironing board organised from reception meant I could iron our washing before moving to our next place. Our only criticism is that the mattress (our 8th in 3 weeks) was hard to the point of being uncomfortable and we're firm bed fans! Other than this, we had an excellent stay in a truly beautiful place that enabled us to take a longtail to West Railay where we stayed in 2009. Lovely to see those beautiful limestone cliffs rising up out of the water but the volume of day tourists have spoilt it, and we were so happy to return to peaceful Cha Wan!
We stayed 10 nights In Cha wan Resort. Beautiful hotel and nice and quiet during Nights. Daytime there is builing site next to hotel and it Causes noise but during day we were mostly on The beach. All personel so Helping and friendly. I truly recommend this hotel specially to adult couples who want peacefull and quiet location
This resort is well located with a 10 minute walk into Ao Nang. While the rooms require a little bit of attention, it is not a real issue as the staff are brilliant with booking restaurants and arranging anything required. I would definitely stay at this resort again as it represents very good value for money. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent.
Its 10 mins walk to Aonang beach & Nopphrathaa beach..we stayed in suite room and it was very well furnished, clean and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple and ok, but not so many options. We loved the place.
I read a lot of reviews before I arrived at the Cha Wan Resort and saw a few that weren't great, but my experience there was really good. There was a comment of the rooms smelling a bit fusty and yes, it did a bit, but the room was huge, the balcony was huge and over looking the pool. The TV was massive with English speaking channels. The bath was really big as was the bathroom. The room really was great! Just what we needed for Christmas. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I couldn't fault them at all. They ever offered us a welcome drink. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach and restaurants are on the same road as the hotel. We had breakfast there and there was a variety of choice to keep all visitors satisfied. The pool looked clean and blue and welcoming as did the sun lounging area. There is building work going on next door to the hotel at the moment and our room was the closest to it but that didn't phase us. The rooms aren't facing the building site and the doors block out a fair bit of sound, not that we really noticed it. Overall we were really pleased with our stay and we hope to visit krabi and stay again!!
This place is unbelievable! It manages to be both really cozy and very beautiful at the same time. It's a small hotel, only ten rooms, divided to five buildings surrounding a little garden with a small pool (clean, cooling and with enough sunbeds). It's quiet and relaxing yet only ten minutes walk from mainstreest (with plenty of shops and restaurants) and the beach. Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. Small but good breakfast buffet (on days with not so many guests you can order from meny instead). The rooms are huge! Designed in classical thai style, really beautiful. Big, big bedroom with very comfy bed and pillows. Big bathroom with big (fresh) bathtub, separate shower and even a separate room for the toilet. There is also a big veranda with table, chairs and a sunbed. Aircon is quiet and working perfectly. There is also fridge, safe, slippers, bathrobe, tv, dvd player, writing desk and so on. There is nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness. It's spotless. And they clean your room and give you new towels every day. I loved my stay here (had to fight with myself to leave the room cause I liked it so much) and will definitely come back next time I'm in Ao Nang.
Warm welcome from great, friendly staff. We arrived in the rain and staff ran to greet us with an umbrella - good start! With only 5 villas this hotel is a quiet retreat. Rooms are large and clean and the bath tub is huge. The villas have a large private balcony each which is great to enjoy the tranquility and watch butterflies and squirrels playing in the trees. Overall, for the price paid this hotel did not disappoint and pictures on website are accurate. Would recommend and stay again
