The hotel room itself was pretty good and the staff was nice. But they advertise having a pool which is actually a different hotels pool that you have to pay extra to use.

Fantastic value and location

This hotel is fantastic value. Even for the most basic suite, you get a clean and comfortable room for the prices you'd pay for a hostel. The same quality and features you'd get at a major hotel company. Just a walk away from the beach, up a quiet street. Staff was eager to help us with our travel plans, offering useful tips. There was an odor problem with our original room, but they quickly upgraded is to a nicer suite for free! Highly recommended hotel!

At first we are unable to find the hotel. But once you are use to the area, this placeis very convient. Though is slight away from ao nang beach n but for the price you pay, you cant expect not to walk. No lift so please if you have problems going up the stairs please avoid

Nice hotel close to everything

Hotel staff and manager were lovely. The hotel was basic, clean and comfortable. The pool was across the road at a neighbouring hotel, but was lovely. Good bars and restaurants and a 24 hour supermarket all close by

Nice hotel, excellent for the price.

There are few elevators in the smaller hotels, and this is true here. It is also not on the main street but in the middle of a block. Otherwise, it is nice, clean, and air conditioned. Service is pleasant and they try to be helpful. There are cheap restuarants and a 7-11 nearby. This place is not perfect, you are in Thailand and this is not an American Standard development. The finishes are nicely choosen but poorly executed for American standards. But overall, newer, higher end finishes, poorly installed, function as expected.

Enjoyed Our Stay

We had a great stay. Small tips: no elevator so request the 2nd floor. The water pressure on upper levels is lesser than lower levels so again request the 2nd floor. Restaurant; they aren't that good with western food such as pancakes. But their Mexican dishes are great. We kept ordering nachos. The location is quite good; it's a bit away from Ao Nany city center but that's a greta thing because it's quiter but still close enough to everything.

Try their woo-woo cocktail

After extending our stay 3 times, we stayed at this hotel for a total of 9 nights. The rooms are decent; bigger than your average room in most hotels. The staff is small but always friendly and helpful. It's a bit away from Ao Nang center but it's a 10-15min walk or a 5 min tuk tuk ride. The restaurant is quite good; their Woo-Woo cocktail is to die for. Overall, it's great value for the money.

Great Value For The Money

We stayed at Silver Sands a total of 9 nights. This is for the first 4 nights of our stay. We stayed in Room 207. The ups of the hotel: It's good value. Rooms are spacious and quite well-kept. It's a bit far from Ao Nang center but it's a 15-20 min walk or 5 min tuk-tuk ride (60bahts for 2 people). The area has many massage places, small street corner restaurants, many tour stands. There is a 7/11 right downstairs from the hotel where you can get almost anything. This was a life-saver for me. After getting food poisoning, simple sandwiches and microwave dinners from 7/11 ran to my rescue. Now the cons: If you are staying in one of the rooms facing the street side, there's construction going on right in front of the hotel and it's noisy. They work odd hours; anywhere from 6 am to 11 pm and sometimes it's difficult to sleep. There is no elevator so if you don't enjoy walking up the stairs, it might be a problem for you but the very helpful bellboy is always ready to help with your luggage. Would I stay at Silver Sands again? For sure. It's great value for the money you pay and the hotel manager, Ankit is one of most helpful people you can find. As a matter of fact, I extended our stay twice during our stay here.

Not impressed, strong odor in room.

The hotel is somewhat hard to find and the entrance is in an alley. The overall feel of the hotel did not seem very clean or well kept. When entering the room, there was a strong smell of old cigarettes and something musty, maybe mold? There were some light stains on the pillow cases and the shower head was broken so you had to hold it. I would not stay here again, every other place I stayed in around Thailand for around the same price was much better.

Nice friendly Hotel in Aonang

Nice little boutique hotel away from the noisy main beach. Enjoyed my stay at this brand new looking hotel. Good service, clean rooms and nice location. Even though this hotel is not on the main road it is still close to many restaurants (thai & european), shops, massages, small bars and other resorts/hotels. No pool but was allowed to use the large pool at the resort across the road. No elevator but the friendly staff carried my bags upstairs and downstairs. Complimentary Internet and water. Would stay there again.

Perfectly fine...great for a couple...quiet backstreet close to town but not in the main chaos. Easy to walk anywhere in town. Not for the solo traveler..a bit boring.

Brukbart hotell for noen dager

Helt greit hotell, men ingen heis. Vi ble først innlosjert i feil bygning så etter 30 min, måtte vi flytte alle tingene våre ut av rommet og ned 4 etasjer igjen for deretter å flytte til en annen bygning og slepe oss opp 4 nye etasjer. Bærer preg av hurtig, kosmetisk oppussing. Har ikke engang tatt seg tid til å fjerne overflødig fugemasse på f.eks. badet. Helt ok hotell, men basseng har de ikke! De har derimot tilgang til et innendørs jacuzzi i gaten ved siden av, hvor de også serverer frokost.

En veldig god opplevelse på Silver sands suites

Flott hotell for god pris. Veldig god seng, god service, rent og god komfort. Wifi var litt variabel med helt ok. Skal du bruke bassenget må du til søster hotellet, som ligger rett ved siden av. Tar ti minutter å gå til Center point og Ao Nang beach, men plenty av mopedtaxier i nærområdet. Hotellet ligger også rett ved siden av Ao Nang night Market, en flott opplevelse med masse god forskjellig mat og god musikk. 40 sekunders gå tur til bassenget, men i gjengjeld ett utrolig flott basseng, med en god bar. Fitness rommet var i bygningen bak bassenget, også svært høy standard på det. Åpningstidene på bassenget og fitness var 09:00 - 21:00 Alt i alt en veldig god opplevelse

Prisvärt och bra service

Läget var bra, endast några minuter till stranden och restauranger hittar men direkt utanför. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam, städning varje dag på rummet! Hotellet var rent och hade AC, fanns Inter mycket att klaga på med tanke på priset, rekomenderar!
