Enjoyable and relaxing stay

Quiet time during Songkran by choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and surrounding garden are well maintained and beautiful. TV had only one English channel (news) and rear curtains and a shower curtain would be a simple improvement.

Short stay

It was a nice stay. Does ladies are very nice and do whatever they can to help! It was a 15 minute walk to the beach though. There we're a lot of mosquitos since there is so much green around.

Little oasis in busy area

The rooms and hotel are simple but elegant. We had a lower floor ( 2 floor property) with great pool access. There is a line of plants and trees alongside the pool, separating it from the large room balconies. So you have both privacy and little pool noise while still being near the pool. The staff are very helpful and the room was tidied daily with new sheets.

Convenient and peaceful

A great choice just north of Ao Nang. Handy to everything you need but tucked away at the end of a small road so no traffic noise. A small and friendly place with a lovely pool and beautiful garden. Great staff and pleasant rooms.

Ten minute walk to Ao Nang beach, great Muslim food stalls on the way at night, wonderful friendly staff that speak English, super clean and comfortable room, and hardly any guests so the saltwater pool was always empty. Great value. The only thing to be aware of is there are a couple of hotels being built directly opposite so the view when you arrive and leave is not so beautiful but this did not detract anything at all from our stay. The only noise when we awoke was frogs, birds and other animals.

Stay away from the pool

Water in the pool had so much chlorine and chemicals in it it turned my blond hair green !! ( I didn't just had them done either ! It's been 10 weeks so it's not a fresh colour ) hairdresser couldn't fix them as it ruined the condition of my hair and I had to go dark !!!!? Horrendous

Relaxing, friendly hotel

We enjoyed this hotel and our room was spacious (although older style), with a great outlook to the pool. Pool was lovely and gardens well maintained. Staff were friendly Wifi was not so good (sometimes had it and sometimes didn't),but all in all this was a nice friendly hotel

Decent hotel

Sulphurous smell occasionally in the pool/restaurant area. Staff were helpful. Not far from Ao Nang beach which isn't spectacular but only 15 min boat ride from Railay. Ants in the room including in my glass in the morning. Lovely swimming pool.

great family vacation

Overall a good stay. The staffs are friendly. Location is great with food just a 5 min walk away. Lots of mosquitoes, we spent the first night catching them, however kinda of a great bonding activity as i have 2 young kids with me.

Love the Duang Jai!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our stay at Duang Jai. It's an easy 4 star even though they are listed as a 3 star. Everything and everyone was terrific, front desk staff are fabulous as were all the rest of the team at Duang Jai. The salt water pool was wonderful at the end of a hot day.

Great Boutique Hotel...

Great Staff and good small little restaurant area. The rooms are gigantic and very comfortable. The pool area was always clean and towels available. About a 10' ride from Pub Street, the hotel has a few TUK TUKs that you can use. Great stay

Lovely spot

about 4 nights in Duang Jai - the hotel has balconies facing the pool. It is on a road just up from the hill between the two beaches. Both beaches are beautiful, Ao Nang has cliffs at the far end. Lots of food options in the hotel area, but they don't open until after tour buses leave at 8:30 am. This hotel is easy walking distance from nearly everything. Though a bit of a hike to some of the better spots, which are mostly at the very far ends of each beach. The far end of Ao Nang has cliffs and a path to monkeys. The far end of the other beach has lovely teak trees and a good restaurant. The latter is way too far to walk to, but is where the tour boats come/go from. If I had to do it over, I would probably stay closer to one of these spots. The pool is spectacular. the rooms are pretty nice. Our bed was a little disappointing, with two mattresses pushed together and hard, but in fairness we did not ask them to fix it, just lived with it. Bathroom was cleaner than some, but still grubby by north american standards (by Thai standards, clean). You get free water, coffee, tea. If you want to stay in the middle area (main drag) this hotel is a good option and I would recommend it as exceptionally nice and good value. I found the pool, which is shady much of the time especially nice after a day in the hot sun.

Friendly staff

Au Nang is quite touristy and very grubby, when we drove up the road to get to the hotel we were thinking it was a bad choice, but the hotel is a hidden gem, very good value for money and the staff are so helpful, they even rang our next deired destination to help us book accomodation and organised transfers for us. The staff are extremely friendly and I would definately stay here again as a night stop over on route to other islands

The resort for family vacay

Good resort for family vacation with small kids...near aonang beach ...Even the resort not provided halal foods breakfast (except the eggs, juices, cereal) Many halal foods stalls located nearby (walking distance)

Too far from where you need to be

Staff are friendly. There is a free breakfast which is ok. Like all the other reviews we found the hotel to be dated and in need of upgrades. Was clean enough. Aircon was finicky. Halaal Street food right outside. Biggest issue is it's about the furthest you can stay from the little night life there is and the beach. Which makes popping back to the hotel a small ordeal. About 10m to the start of the main street and 25m to the centre.

prisvärt. Ej dåligt men ej lyx heller.

Bra hotell. Vi hade uteplats vid poolen. Tyvärr så är poolområdet begränsat då man valt att ha växter överallt. Lite som att bo i ett mini-djungel, men en del uppskattar det nog. Solstolarna får nu bara plats på ena sidan av poolen (det som syns på bilderna, men nu ä det mer växter!) Frukosten var ok, innehåller det mesta man kan förvänta sig. Omelett och liknande görs på begäran. yoghurt, flingor, musli. Skinka, korv, bacon, Kaffe, te, färsk ananas, vattenmelon m.m. Lungt läge, 10 min promenad till ao nang strand. Taxi 100 bath till stan Eller hopp on/off flak filarna 30 bath (vår favorit) Smidigt som går vid stora vägen nån minut bort.
