I would check in to this hotel again for my short solo visit. Location is strategic. My room has the view of the straight Gaya Road and the ocean. Breakfast spread was OK, however the potato wedges kinda stale though. Overall, the experience was alright.
This hotel is located just opposite Wisma Merdeka and very near to Suria Sabah shopping mall. It offer breakfast, although not much choices and is without swimming pool. There are plenty of rooms that are quite cheap and cozy. However the lights are not enough in the room that makes my eyes not comfortable. Kettle to boil is provided but the funny thing is perhaps in order to protect the environment, this hotel do not provide bottled water. Instead it provide a glass bottle without lid, and its bottle mouth is covered by a plastic bag. For me it is quite funny because the hotel can actually use glass bottle with lid, which i think will be more hygiene. I never drink the provided water but i boil water myself. Because who knows how long the water was being put there and whether the water was boiled or not. I checked out early in the morning at 6am so i requested take away breakfast. But i was really disappointed to see a hotel using styrofoam to put an orange, a sandwich and a hard boiled egg. I would like to suggest them to use paper bag or other more environment-friendly packaging. Is still a nice and cozy hotel because its location is really good and s not expensive.
I booked the room under Agoda (Standard No Window) but the payment didnt go through as it got transferred to Booking.com. I checked in approximately at 9pm last night(23rd May 2017). Deposit collected was RM 50 which is pretty reasonable. Overview of the room: 1. Hairdryer available 2. Clean drinking water provided. 3. Kettle with coffee and tea sachets. 4. Tv with few but doable channels. 5. Clean linen and towels. (its a blessing!) 6. The whole room was beautiful and good for the stay. 7. 2 extra pillows in the cupboard. (another blessing!) Overall, the hotel is good. Would suggest it to everyone as the hotel is located in a strategic location. Only 750m from jesselton point. And they have a fantastic pancake restaurant right infront of the hotel and a north indian restaurant beside the hotel. Theres even a money exchanger at the front of the hotel and tour services. Overall I enjoyed my stay.. Thank you to all the staff...
The hotel's WiFi is very slow ... The toilet doesn't have enough water to flush, the shower place didn't have any curtain or a steep to separate toilet and shower. The hair dryer is broken, no lock in the toilet door. The hanger of the hotel can't be taken out. No view from the room. I will not cone to this f-ing hotel anymore 😤
was there for the weekend short holiday, the hotel was fully book with basketball player from Asia and the staff was fantastic , friendly , helpfull, housekeeping did a good job of cleaning our suite room, totally no complain, breakfast was good, the terrace serve fresh coconut which was great for such a hot hot weather. In deed we saw the hotel was upgrading their wifi and it was a strong coverage during our stay. Please do try their inai spa massage affordable and relaxing...keep up with the great service....
First thing that I like most is tge idea to reduce plastic bottle by putting water jar in each room which can refill at each floor. Wifi can use at the lobby area.Walking distance to the departmentstore.
We booked a triple room for 2 nights at this hotel. It is located at the center of the city with tourist spots all around it. Banks, restaurants, shopping malls are nearby the hotel. The room is spacious with a view of the city. But the lights in the room were quite dim. Water pressure is good but we were a bit surprised as there was no water hose next to the toilet seat. They only provided us with a small dipper which was not convenience at all. Front office staffs were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast selection was limited but acceptable.
clean but hotel room so small. old furniture. for this condition, they're charging at RM150 per night. WIFI not stable. we were reminded to check out at 1230 or theyll charge extra RM30. but very near with eateries and convenient store. If you happen to stay on sunday then it is convenient to go to Gaya Street Market which is just around hotel area.
Contrary to many other recent trip reports, we just completed a good stay at the hotel. Our room on the 10th floor was very clean, well lighted and had great water pressure. The only negative was that the Wi-Fi went down every morning between 7 & 9AM. What’s up with that? You’ll find Little Italy restaurant to be just steps from the main entrance while El Centro and Chilli Vanilla are just a South on the net block. The Gaya Street Sunday Market is just 2 shorts blocks away. (maybe a good candidate for the TV Show HOTEL MAKEOVER)
This is the most depressing hotel i have stayed in. The room is dark and old. I stayed on the 9th floor which had a wet smell. The bed was unbalanced so we received cardboard to fix the situation. This hotel is probably a 2 star. The breakfast was not very nice. The only positive about this hotel is the location but even so i would not stay there again
