Absolute delight when we arrived check in quick then cases and ourselves were take in a car to our room we upgraded to a family swim up room well worth it. Food was good and there is cepes in the lobby which you have to try very tasty all the staff went out of their way to help staff are a credit to this hotel even the manager was not frightened to get his hands dirty clearing tables. Pool area was very good plenty of beds There is a train out side of reception which is free to take u to the beach which has bars and restaurants for you to use. Would we return to this hotel its a big Yes Family village keep up the good work
Having to pay for internet was unexpected. I don't understand all these people who have rated the food as excellent. It was the same every night and didn't offer any outdoor seating options which is just bizarre for a summer resort! They only had one restaurant to choose from and it felt more like a canteen than a restaurant and they also had very limited times as to when you could go for dinner.
It was an absolute delight! I visited Mitsus with my boyfriend, my mother, my uncle and little sisters and brother ages 15, 8 and 1.. The food everyday was brilliant and there was a good variety. The staff couldn't do enough for you!! The first night me and my boyfriend didn't buy any water to go in our fridge so we kept waking up in the night because we was so dehydrated. So we rang the reception and it was really late and they offered us some jugs of water with ice which was so lovely as me and my boyfriend were drying😂🙈 We spent most of our time by the slide pool which was a Claudine pool so it wasn't sea water as I have eczema so the sea water pools gave me skin reactions but that pool was absolutely amazing. The bar staff are great at all the bars. The only thing was that there wasn't much to do at night but we understood it was a family resort. I would 100% recommend it if travelling with children
I was there in august 2016. We got a room whit swim up pool and the room was super nice. The allinclusive resturant was not that god, the bar had giant que. The food was repetive. It was a big hotell complex whit other complexes. The pools was whit salt whater.
I've had to wait until I could leave a review for this hotel until I had sorted things out with my holiday firm. We were a family of 7 people. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill this didn't bother us but while we were there we could see a few people struggling with the hills. There is a train that takes you down to the beach but this runs between 10am till 6pm. We had a swim up pool room which we used most days as the kids loved. The food was great too. You could always find something nice to eat every day. The staff were very friendly from the bar staff to the cleaners they were always happy to help you. Now for the bad. Before we arrived in had read quite a few bad reviews of people falling around the pools so having seen this one drummed this in to my teenage daughters to be carefull. But it wasn't them who fell it Was me. On our third day we spent the day at the pool with the water slides. I was just getting into the pool with my 6 month old daughter when I slipped on the top step as I entered the pool. Now I managed to turn just a little bit so that I didn't fall on my daughter. Now as you can see by the pictures there is nothing there to prevent any slips or falls. I landed on my arm which I cut very badly. My daughter received a bump to the head. There is no handrail to hold entering the pool this would of stopped me falling. It's looks like there has been something there before but it's been removed. The bar man did help with trying to patch my arm up. there was a very nice lad there who helped me out of the water whose dad had fallen at the same steps a few days before who had badly banged his back and broke 3 fingers. This is 2 accidents that happened with 2 adult trying to enter the pool with young kids. I really hope they have done something about these accidents for the coming year as I hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.
We stayed at this Hotel last week of July first week of August as you would expect the weather was fantastic. On arrival early hours of the morning we was greeted by a lovely man at reception who booked us in and showed us to our room with a smile and i believe he was genuinely gad to be able to help us and this seemed to be how all the staff were. As it was early hours of the morning and a long trip behind us it was a fantastic sight to open the fridge and it had been stocked with food, what a great touch. We had a maisonette with a shared swim up pool and this was the making of our holiday, no getting up to reserve sun beds as plenty to go around it did get busy at the main pool but when you have your own pool outside your room!!. The views from the room was to die for FANTASTIC The manager of this Hotel is a total star always mucking in and supporting his staff and will do anything within his power to make your stay comfortable Food and drink was excellent and a good variety was on offer every day. the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and fridge restocked with water. The reception staff always busy and helpful you can get pool towels from them €10 deposit and they will change them daily. All in all we had one of our best family holidays here and this was due to the staff and the swim up pool. We will return one day but we do like staying at different Hotels each year. Many thanks to all the staff at the Mitsis Family Beach Hotel
Taken me a while to write this as there is so much to say about this hotel! Stayed here September 2016 for 2 weeks with my boyfriend. The only down side to our stay was we had ants in our room, they were in our bed and in the food that was left covered up and in the fridge!! But after around 4 days we got moved to another room although this was after complaining and asking every day if we could be moved. We got upgraded to a swim up pool room and to our surprise we didn't have to pay a thing so thank you very much! I'm not sure it's worth the money if we did have to pay.. The pool water is salt water so I hardly used it at all as it was very cold and caught the wind and it didn't agree with my eczema but the room had lovely views. Room cleanliness was average beds weren't changed very often but I can imagine that job being very hard especially in the heat! Food was overall very good.. Breakfast was the only downside really there wasn't much choice no bacon or sausages only small Hot dog like sausages in a onion kind of mix - weird for breakfast. But lunch and dinner very good lots of choice the best bit is the salad bar there was so much there! The staff are a credit to this hotel they are so helpful and kind always smiling and always said hello. I would definitely recommend this hotel even with the small downsides!
We have room with private pool for the whole house, so we spent lots of time there, because main pool is mostly occupied by screaming children. When we arrive, we have to wait for a room sooo long, because families with children were preffered to get room earlier. I also think that wifi connection could be for free in the rooms as is usual in Europe. I also sent pre-arrival e-mail to the hotel, that we are two friends-girls, who get the trip to celebrate our special birthday and we prefere twin bed. We receive the reply, that hotel will arrange everything for us, but when we get to the room, there was a king size bed. I also think, that we could find some small welcome gift or something like this for our birthday... Maybe the room was upgrade, who knows... Perfect cuisine and housekeeping service, we were really satisfied! And also A/C in the room for free is great! Kos is really small island, so we rent a car just for one day to explore whole island. The town-Kardamena-is little far away from the resort (5 km), but in the resort you will find all you need - restaurant, supermarket, spa, etc. In general I think it is a great place for holidays if you would like just to relax and have ,,all in one", but I think I will not come back, because there is nothing more to explore. Of course I will recommend the hotel to my friends, especially with children.
It's hard to do this place justice to be honest. It is never a four star so be mindful of that when booking but it is, however, a very good three star holiday venue. The main issue with the family village is the appearance of the main building. It's tired an needs a makeover. There can be no getting away from the fact that the lack of choice in terms of dining makes the restaurant feel a little Groundhog Day. There are no additional restaurants on site so you have to pay to visit the sister hotels restaurants which is not feasible considering the cost of the day passes. The fact that most of us have paid expensive August prices for all inclusive further limits the desire to pay more when you get there. Staff are friendly and professional and the food on offer, although limited, is good quality. Special mention to the Crepe Bar and the Children's Team who are excellent. Our family room had a lovely sea view and was spacious and clean but again dated and needs a revamp. Another thing to consider is the lack of space in the restaurant at peak times. It is very busy and not great if your funny with lot's of people around you. Flies in the restaurant were a constant issue and this needs immediate action from the owners. Several complaints were made to the Manager whilst we were there. The pool is very busy with an acute lack of space when the hotel is full. You do have to follow our European friends and get up early to reserve your beds. Don't be surprised to find our European friends on the beds you've reserved as they are not shy in taking your towels off either! Be prepared for the usual crowd of Russian and Italian guests who are rude and have no concept of etiquette and manners. Not a generalisation/xenophobia here but my own experiences of the guests in the hotel during our stay. Be prepared for a game of cat and mouse in the evenings trying to get a table outside for a drink. There is a chronic lack of spaces outside in the evenings during August. The salt water pool is an issue for the younger children and it is cold so be careful when you dive in. We met some lovely people and the place is really child friendly and despite the points I've made, we had a great time. I always conclude these reviews with the question would I return? I am hesitant to say yes based on the lack of choice and the cramped nature of the pool, restaurant and evening seating area.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks at the beginning of October. The weather was perfect. Every single member of staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. On arrival, we had a man drive us to our room and carry our bags in which was lovely. As our flight was late we were greeted by food and drink in our fridge to ensure we ate. We had an excellent sized room with a good seaview. We paid for both internet, safety deposit box and put a deposit down for beach towels. All of which I would recommend to other travellers to do so. The rooms were changed daily but found that the floors were never really mopped and that there were a few ants around but it's to be expected. We had a few issues with the shower to begin with and the air conditioning but they were very quick to send out maintenance people to resolve these. The food in the restaurant was average, breakfast was probably the best meal but the lunch and evening meal was just standard all inclusive quality. We ate out a couple of times in near by kardamena and it was quite cheap. We did get given an upgrade to the other hotels mid week after an competition and they do offer a different variety of restaurants so that's worth a try. The bus links are very convenient and are cheap too. Taxi prices aren't too bad either. The pool is good salt water pool, occasionally there was a few bugs sitting on top but it was cleaned daily. Bar and snack bar areas are very good. The mini market is ridiculously priced and would recommend you go to the big supermarket in kardamena. The beach is nice and the Pedalos are worth a go on just for a deposit which you get back as long as you stay within the right areas. There's also a snack bar on the beach. The beach hopper train is excellent and saves you walking a big hill. This resort isn't really suitable for people with limited mobility as the rooms are either uphill or up steps and the resort is up a large hill, so be aware if you struggle. Overall a very good holiday in this hotel!
