Our second visit to Marianna and definitely our last which is a shame because two years ago we had a great stay here. This was the second week of our holiday in Kos, having spent the first week in Kefalos. On arrival, there was no warm greeting from Maria, no smile just directions to our room. The room itself is very good value; clean and bright but very hot, so air con at 8 euros per day (expensive I feel) is a must. Two twin beds pushed together, one of which was quite comfortable but the other so hard that we took turns to try and sleep on it. The hot water from the bathroom sink was barely a trickle which I mentioned to Maria, in passing, and asked if someone could take a look at it. Nothing was done about this, we just made do. The pool area is very cramped with no room to manoeuvre your sun bed and barely room to walk past them either. We used the pool twice and spent the rest of our time at the beach (lovely and peaceful). Three incidents occurred during our stay that left us feeling sour towards the staff here. One evening in the bar Maria tried to charge me for drinks we hadn't had only to say she'd made a mistake when I questioned the bill. One day I ordered some lunch at the pool snack bar and after waiting 30 minutes, with no-one else waiting, I asked Stella if my food was ready only to be told she's forgotten to put my order through. On our final day we decided to have breakfast at the snack bar before leaving and paid for the food as I ordered it. About an hour later while waiting for our taxi Maria came over and asked if I'd paid the bill for our breakfasts. Everything considered this was going to be a 2 star review but the saving grace of this hotel is the evening bar and, in particular, Vasillas and his brother. Apart from the fact Vasillas is a brilliant barman and makes the best cocktails ever, they are both extremely welcoming and genuine guys. Maria and Stella should watch and learn.

Situated on the main road in Tigaki about a ten minute walk from the main square and far enough out to avoid the noise of nearby bars etc. First time here and impressed. Rooms are basic but very clean and cleaned daily apart from Sundays. All the staff are very pleasant and willing to help and the guys running the bar keep you plied with snacks and free shots. Nice pool and snack bar area. We stayed in room 313 which had great views of neighbouring islands and great sunsets over the mountains. Rooms equipped with fridge, microwave and a couple of electric rings and nice roomy balconies. My only negative comment would be for the 80 Euro charge for air conditioning for 10 days which only works when you are actually in the room. We only had one breakfast at the hotel which was fine and cost 5 euros. Drinks prices similar to here. If you are looking for somewhere to basically sleep then would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Pool open 9am to 7pm

I have just returned from a week in this hotel on a Self catering basis. The hotel is on the main road in Tigaki close to shops, bars, tavernas and the fantastic beaches. It has its own pool, bar and snack bar, and all are great. The apartments are spotlessly clean and are quiet. Staff are fantastic and nothing is to much trouble.

It's a 2 Star hotel, its cheap. We stayed here for a week in August, the room was excellent, Simple, clean, cool, everything worked as expected. We travelled a lot on our holiday, as we always do, the apartment was simply a place to lay our heads. The only day we spent around the pool (our final day) was lovely. The cocktail bar out front was our favourite bar throughout the holiday, reasonably priced with excellent drinks and really friendly hosts.

Our 1st time here. Even the earthquake couldn't spoil our holiday!! Very basic apartment but cleaned everyday apart from Sundays. Poolside bar and café cater for your everyday needs, English breakfast was a must for me & our 16yr old served by the lovely Stella. Cocktails at night at the bar were top notch served by the 2 very pleasant brothers, but be aware they are very strong!! Tigaki was very quiet but had some very good restaurants our favourite was George's just across the road.

Always good to come back and feel at home , top class service as always , great hotel , great evenings & always a memorable experience , will be back in September for another week of fun and good memories

Well after our first visit last year myself and my partner decided we would head back to Tigaki again for another 10 days. Leaving Manchester at 5:40 we arrived in kos around half an hour early, getting through customs and on the coach within 40 mins we headed to our hotel and where else could we stay other than our favourite Marianna hotel greeted by the ever smiling Maria, we quickly checked in and headed to our room as always the rooms are basic but ideal for your stay we unpacked and headed to the shop for our water and few other bits the hotel is lovely, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the island as a whole is just gorgeous safe too say it's only 71 days until we return anyone thinking out this hotel BOOK IT you won't be disappointed

Stayed here for 1 week 20-27 May 2017, all I can say is it was worth it. Cannot complain about anything other than the few mosquito bites I got. I had visited Tingaki twice before, both times in May and enjoyed. My parents had stayed here on numerous occassions and love it. Our stay was fab, everything was so clean and nothing any trouble. Family run and everyone so pleasant, cleaners do a fab job and if you need anything just ask. There is the pool bar area where you can have drinks and snacks during the day, in the evening the bar is open to the front of the apartments and it is very smart. I was slightly apprehensive my husband and brother would find it too quiet for them but both have said they would definitely return as it was so chilled, no hassle. This is somewhere that people are comfortable to even travel alone on holiday. 100% recommend. Im sure during high season it would be livlier was quiet when we were there. Hi to Stella, Maria, Vasili and the rest of the family, be proud of the Marianna.

the best things about this hotel are the rooms are very clean, all the features in the room that we needed. great for doing breakfast and lunch and then we would eat out in the evening as there are some great restuarants and taverns on the strip. pool area very clean and we always managed to get a place round the pool. the hotel is only 15 from the beach so a bonus. all the staff were friendly, and the bar in the evenings do a great cocktail menu.

Booked this through jet2,never been to Kos or this hotel before, what a pleasant surprise.Very smart frontage with an open bar lounge onto the street which is the main road down to Tigaki beach, great for people watching while engoying an ice cold beer or a cocktail .My wife loves mojhitos and said Vassillios the bartender makes the best she's ever tasted. The studios are all you need and the pool is lovely,Stella runs the pool cafe/bar nothing is too much trouble and a full English breakfast fried poached or scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes, beans, two rounds of proper toast with jam and marmalade orange juice tea or coffee for 5.50€.She also does toasted sandwiches omelettes and various drinks from beers to wonderful milk shakes. The rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaning ladies are a delight, the one odd thing you have to provide your own loo roll. Two brothers run the bar from 6oclock till late and are great very friendly and at tentative the cocktails are 6€ and people came from other hotels just for them, ice cold large beer was 3€ and a good quality vodka (absolut) and tonic was4.50€.We enjoyed our stay immensely and will certainly returne to stay here,as its not too close to the lively bars but not too far away either. There is a very good supermarket 50 mts up the road ,they have a very good range of beers spirits and wine a decent bottle of red wine was between 3-6€.We did have a problem with mosquitoes so take precautions. Can only recommend these apartments, mainly for couples and older people as there's not a lot here for kids.
