A party of 15 stayed for 2 nights. It is a bit out of town, but a walkable distance. Having arrived in the morning, we were told we could leave our bags while we went off exploring and to get lunch, which we did. But there are no facilities to lock luggage away so it merely sat in the foyer, in full view, with at times no one at the desk. The room was acceptable, but don't expect any frills. No tea/coffee making facilities. Once your 1 each, tiny complimentary shower gel was gone.......it was gone. Our double bed was 2 singles pushed together, but it was clean and comfortable. The room was tired looking and clean on our arrival, but the corners were a bit grimy by the time we left. On the 2 mornings we were there, the cleaners arranged the towels and sprinkled petals. The bathroom is again very dated but functional and clean. The toilet filled noisily constantly, so at night we did turn the water inlet off by the easily accessible tap. The shower pipe burst one morning. The lady on the desk was told and wrote it down. On our return it wasn't fixed. The front desk was again told. I was advised it would be fixed within the hour..............then as I started to walk away, within 2 hours, I firmly said " No!. Within 1 hour as we need to shower to get ready to go out! " And it was indeed fixed within the hour. We only had one breakfast there. 5€. Most definitely not worth the money. Cold ham, hard boiled eggs, sliced cheese, cereal, bread rolls and of course tea and coffee and very weak squash. Around the corner at the little blue restaurant for 6€ you get a greek version of a full English breakfast, unlimited bread and a variety of home made jams. The staff were ok. They did what was asked of them, with an occasional smile. In our party, one couple had to be moved as the toilet seat was broken and throughout their stay, their room was not cleaned. Another couple also said their room was not cleaned. All of us apart from these 2 couples had the petals on the bed. We stayed there for 2 nights, 2 guests, room only for a total of £53. Not a huge amount and we were satisfied with what we got for our money. We would stay there again for a couple of nights...maybe not a week though just due to it bring out of town. I would recommend it to some, but not all my friends; some being fussier than others. M
W arived at beautiful island of Kos in the morning and room was not ready for ys. So we decided to go for a swim first. We finally checked in at around 18:00. Lady in the reception was very rood, we didn't feel welcomed there. Going to our room (101) we found a good room for the price (45€/per night) however sheets and towels were VERY DIRTY. We told the lady to change them and in order to do so we had to argue a lot with us since she didn't believe us. !! Finally we had new sheets and towels after she ruined totally our mood. Breakfast was poor. No view from our room but it was quiet. Not very close to the city centre if you do not have a vehicle. We do not recommend it.
During our stay at Kos, earthquake happened and we had a terrible night. When we returned to Hotel, there was no concern, help or any person represent the hotel was at the site. Hotels have the responsibility of the guests wellfare at all times who accomodates in their property. This Hotel failed how to handle an emergency....!!!
Dont bother with this place we were there during the earthquake there was one person working there that night she had no idea what to do there was no procedures in place and when asked where were going sleep that night her reply was "not my problem you can sleep on the beach". Everytime we needed to ask a question at the reception we was met with very blunt answers, the breakfast was awful and not worth getting up for. All in all dont bother with this place any othee hotel on the island would be better.
Unfortunately, have nothing good to say about this place. The hotel is situated on a very nosy crossroad therefore, we haven't slept all night. Air con didn't work in our room making it even worth. To aggravate things even further I forgot my jacket in the cupboard in the room. Phoned back to reception many times no-one answered. I even asked the receptionist of another hotel where we stayed following week to try for me but he couldn't get through. I emailed the place - no answer. Finally 2 days later I spoke to a receptionist at Kos Bay and she confirmed my jacket was found. I offered to pay for postage but never got it. On my last day of hols I went in but they said no-one knows anything about it. They showed me a note on the wall that they take no responsibility for lost stuff but it doesn't apply to my jacket as it was found by a member of staff and confirmed to me. The receptionist made me waiting around despite me informing him that my bus to the airport was leaving shortly. One more thing, this was our honeymoon trip. I emailed places hinting on this. We had flowers, rose petals on the bed, Champaign and cards. The only place that did nothing - Kos Bay. Non existing customers services!!! Very disappointed.
We've stayed in Kos Bay for a week. Pros: - nice rooms with refrigerator, air conditioning (not programmable, set to a fixed option which was too cold sometimes), TV (we didn't use it) - balcony with 2chairs and table - friendly, helpful staff - fast wifi, also in rooms Cons: - rooms weren't cleaned up daily - breakfasts were monotone, with no fresh fruits/vegetables We've had nice time in general. Kos Bay is located not in the very center of the Kos town, it's about 15min by walk. Nearest beach with sunbeds is 10 min by walk, but it's worth to go further to the center, as there are more beaches there (sunbeds belong to bars, where you can stay usually when you order sth). Kos bay is more a small family hotel than a huge holiday resort, there are no pubs/discos around , only in the center. Best to rent a bike as there are lots of bike roads along the beach.
Went to Kos Bay for twelve nights at beginning of sept. It was not a bad place they came and made the beds daily only changed sheets once a week, which is fine so don't know why people complain unless they change there beds nearly every day.the staff was nice not that we had much to do with them. There was no real night life as such but it was ok
Lovely clean rooms excellent service and amazing views, we were looking for some budget accommodation and this has been excellent for the price we paid. Close enough to the centre of Kos town without being on top of it so we were able to avoid the noise and very close to a couple of amazing beaches
I arrived at 6am. The desk clerk asked us to leave the hotel at 7 when breakfast started without giving rooms (they had many!) In the afternoon I got one just behind reception. It was noisy so I asked to change it. The desk clerk played dumb and told me they do not have any rooms in half-empty hotel! Finally they gave me another one. Breakfasts were monotonous and poor. The hotel itself was clean and nite, though.
