Cant recommend this place highly enough. Spotlessly clean. Pools beautiful. Service great. Reception staff so helpful. Helped me arrange a cycling tour of mountain for my husband. Also hired bikes from hotel and went to other beaches as beach very small. Mini bar refilled daily. Drinks and cocktails nice. Im still thinking of the views and service.
Everything you could want out of a holiday perfect food drinks are fab hotel spotless it's a top hotel with lovely staff what more could you want can't wait to go back I will make sure it's for 2weeks next time
We have stayed 7 days at the Astir Odysseus Resort and had a really nice time. The arrival was nice and we didnt need to wait for our room. The staff was most of the time very friendly. Just one time the receptionist was annoyed by us when we have asked for another room which was having more sun during the day. The rooms are clean and bright but dont have a special character. The bathroom looks a bit older but all in all everything was fine. We had a room with a shared pool and we really liked it (can really recommend it for people that like swimming pools). The food was really good and the choice was huge! Everyday another food-topic and a lot to choose from. The hotel can get quite full but we didn't feel it so much. The beach was a little disappointing to us, but it was our first time to Kos and that's how the beach looks like. The staff is cleaning the beach everyday. If you walk outside the hotel beach you see a lot of trash and unfinished resorts. Looks like the financial crisis stopped the touristic development. The gym was nice and small. All necessary equipment was available. The spa we havent used because the waiting lines were always so long (obviously a good sign on how popular the spa is). I highly recommend this resort, especially in low season with a nice temperature and not so many guests.
Yet again another fantastic holiday . The hotel staff simply can not do enough for everyone. We stayed in 2 rooms this holiday, 1 week in a room near the main hotel and over looking the pool and the 2nd week in a swim up pool room. The staff were fantastic moving our suitcases. Denis and Francesca yet again were the heart and soul of he hotel. they really do deliver a fantastic light hearted entertainment package which caters for all the residents . The food was fantastic and fresh , changed menus so no one ever got bored . plenty of options for everyone. Well done to every single member of staff at the hotel . Visit number 4 booked !!!
We booked this after stumbling across it on a google search. Easy to reach from the airport, we arrived to a warm welcome and seamless check in. Our room was near the beach on the ground floor which was perfect for us We have never really done a family all inclusive before and we're a bit apprehensive. We needn't have been. It was brilliant. Breakfasts were great with loads of choice. We tended to have lunch in the restaurant by the beach where the BBQ was fab. Dinner became a little formulaic by the end even though there was loads of choice - I agree with some of the other reviewers comments to stick to a theme each night rather than load your plate with everything. The pizzas and salads were especially good and there were themed food nights most days. Wine and cocktails were average but we enjoyed the beers. The waiting staff were generally lovely and great with the kids. The kids club was superb and our 6 year old loved it. The staff were lovely and really engaged with the kids. They were so enthusiastic and our daughter loved the mini disco every night. Some of the evening shows were fun too. Pools were great. We preferred the one near the beach though there was a lot of annoying sun bed reserving in the mornings (leaving towels before breakfast then not using them til lunchtime) which the resort could have tried to stop. We ventured into Kos town (a short bus ride away) a couple of times and ate out. Some great restaurants on the sea front. And do check out Dion the jewellers - I bought a beautiful ring at a good price and their service was first class. We were pleasantly surprised by our first family all inclusive experience. Would recommend this hotel and visit again.
What a lovely hotel! Modern and stylish with excellent food and exceptional service. We stayed all inclusive and wanted for nothing. I’m not easily pleased when it comes to buffet style food but the Astir offerings were all of great quality, well cooked and with plenty of choice (the salads were to die for). With AI you get the chance to eat once in the A La Carte and for us this was one of the highlights of our holiday. We went in late September and our fellow guests were a nice mix of nationalities (Brits, Germans, Scandinavians mostly). Weather was really pleasant - still able to get a great tan even in early October. We took the frequent bus into Kos town a few times - the old town is very nice and well worth a visit - and €10 back in a taxi. The service at the Astir is top notch which really makes the holiday - special mention to Lola (our frequent waitress) who was absolutely fabulous. Don’t hesitate to book this place - it is a luxury hotel. Yes, it is a wee bit isolated but we knew this before we went and it remoteness is reflected in the price. If it was right in the town it would have costed a couple of hundred Euro’s more.
Astir Odysseus was our holiday choice for a second time this summer. We normally don't go to the same place again but we had such an amazing experience couple years ago so we decided to go back to Astir again! And we made right decision! The place is just lovely, with great staff, amazing food and unforgettable animation team! The pool, sea, sun, food and staff made our holidays so relaxing and enjoyable. Didn't want to leave. Thanks again to everyone! Denis and Francesca hope to see you soon ;-) xx
Very clean hotel, went in September, so not too busy. Very nice service. Rented bikes for 5 days to see a bit more of the island. Downside was that the people at the reception where not very helpful, had the feeling that they get annoyed when asking questions.
stayed here for a week with my 12 year old daughter 20 October. Hotel is lovely. We had a swim up room . I'd emailed beforehand to request a room which had sun all day long and my request was honoured. So glad I did contact the hotel prior to my stay as some of the swim up rooms opposite didn't get the sun at all! Room was spacious and adequately equipped. Food was plentiful and a good variety for all tastes. Entertainment was typical hotel style but none the less we still enjoyed it. Ventured into Kos town a couple of times which was lovely and got the bus from Kos town to Kardamena too. Not much to see except shops and the harbour/beach. I wouldn't return, but would return to Kos Town again. Overall a nice relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings.
Finally reviewing this property after many months meaning to. We arrived here the last two weeks of July not really knowing what to expect as it was our first package holiday as we normally book independently. When we arrived we were greeted by some of the most professional staff I have come across in the European hotel. We were then brought to our room on a golf buggy by one of the staff members. we arrived late at night but when we got into a room there was food left there for us. It was late so we went to bed. When we got up the next morning we had the most fabulous view of the sea and the lagoon pool. There are plenty of sunbeds but you had to be up early to get a decent sunbed and leave a towel on that before breakfast, normally I don’t like this kind of thing but if you want a bed you had to do it. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained every day. But restaurants are fabulous and all staff are very friendly here. The room was bright modern and spacious, the minibar was filled everyday. I can’t fault this hotel and hope to return one day. The majority of clients were friendly and chatty. Also the entertainment team with activities during the day were brilliant. It is a bit far away from Kos town but taxis are cheap and readily available. We hired a car for the second week so that wasn’t an issue. Sunsets are amazing here for photo opportunities. Overall I can easily say this is the most fantastic hotel We have ever stayed in.
