What a lovely hotel! Modern and stylish with excellent food and exceptional service. We stayed all inclusive and wanted for nothing. I’m not easily pleased when it comes to buffet style food but the Astir offerings were all of great quality, well cooked and with plenty of choice (the salads were to die for). With AI you get the chance to eat once in the A La Carte and for us this was one of the highlights of our holiday. We went in late September and our fellow guests were a nice mix of nationalities (Brits, Germans, Scandinavians mostly). Weather was really pleasant - still able to get a great tan even in early October. We took the frequent bus into Kos town a few times - the old town is very nice and well worth a visit - and €10 back in a taxi. The service at the Astir is top notch which really makes the holiday - special mention to Lola (our frequent waitress) who was absolutely fabulous. Don’t hesitate to book this place - it is a luxury hotel. Yes, it is a wee bit isolated but we knew this before we went and it remoteness is reflected in the price. If it was right in the town it would have costed a couple of hundred Euro’s more.

Astir Odysseus was our holiday choice for a second time this summer. We normally don't go to the same place again but we had such an amazing experience couple years ago so we decided to go back to Astir again! And we made right decision! The place is just lovely, with great staff, amazing food and unforgettable animation team! The pool, sea, sun, food and staff made our holidays so relaxing and enjoyable. Didn't want to leave. Thanks again to everyone! Denis and Francesca hope to see you soon ;-) xx

Very clean hotel, went in September, so not too busy. Very nice service. Rented bikes for 5 days to see a bit more of the island. Downside was that the people at the reception where not very helpful, had the feeling that they get annoyed when asking questions.

stayed here for a week with my 12 year old daughter 20 October. Hotel is lovely. We had a swim up room . I'd emailed beforehand to request a room which had sun all day long and my request was honoured. So glad I did contact the hotel prior to my stay as some of the swim up rooms opposite didn't get the sun at all! Room was spacious and adequately equipped. Food was plentiful and a good variety for all tastes. Entertainment was typical hotel style but none the less we still enjoyed it. Ventured into Kos town a couple of times which was lovely and got the bus from Kos town to Kardamena too. Not much to see except shops and the harbour/beach. I wouldn't return, but would return to Kos Town again. Overall a nice relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings.

Finally reviewing this property after many months meaning to. We arrived here the last two weeks of July not really knowing what to expect as it was our first package holiday as we normally book independently. When we arrived we were greeted by some of the most professional staff I have come across in the European hotel. We were then brought to our room on a golf buggy by one of the staff members. we arrived late at night but when we got into a room there was food left there for us. It was late so we went to bed. When we got up the next morning we had the most fabulous view of the sea and the lagoon pool. There are plenty of sunbeds but you had to be up early to get a decent sunbed and leave a towel on that before breakfast, normally I don’t like this kind of thing but if you want a bed you had to do it. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained every day. But restaurants are fabulous and all staff are very friendly here. The room was bright modern and spacious, the minibar was filled everyday. I can’t fault this hotel and hope to return one day. The majority of clients were friendly and chatty. Also the entertainment team with activities during the day were brilliant. It is a bit far away from Kos town but taxis are cheap and readily available. We hired a car for the second week so that wasn’t an issue. Sunsets are amazing here for photo opportunities. Overall I can easily say this is the most fantastic hotel We have ever stayed in.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in August 2017. It took a long time to book this holiday as we could not decide where to go, it was between this and somewhere in the Caribbean. It did not disappoint. The location is great, you can catch a bus easily to Kos town. The room we had was a family room, one room was separated by a door. We overlooked the pool and it was extremely clean and spacious. The food and drinks were amazing something for everyone, and the beech BBQ at lunch was beautiful. One of the best parts of the holiday were the staff a big hello to the wonderful Lola (main restaurant) she was one of the nicest ladies you could meet and her sister. I also have to mention the gorgeous Anastasia in the beach bar, thank you to you all who made our holiday so fab, my husband says calamari to you all and s'agapao!! If I do have one negative thing to say was the check in and check out the worst I have ever experienced in my life, but I wont let it put us off, I am sure we will return to this fabulous hotel one day.

I just want to let you know that this was by far the best stay I have ever experienced in a hotel so far! I work in a hotel myself, so because I get some discount on hotels I have stayed in quite a lot of hotels. The food is fresh, lots of variety, and very tasty! Thanks to ALL the staff! Every single one of them was so friendly, proffesional, sincere and happy! They work very hard, but still they give excellent service, all the time! really impressed! I just had to let you know, and hope this will be shared among the staff! they made our holiday!! Thankyou!

Great week, well looked after. Food good, varied & plentiful. Super entertainment team and top pianist Nikos all did a fabulous job to keep us and two teenage girls entertained. Well done to all staff in the Restaurant & Bar. Would not hesitate to return or recommend.

We have just spent 11 nights here, what a lovely hotel. On arrival we got an upgrade, great start, beautiful views across the hotel, the sea, and beyond, towards Turkey. 2 lovely big pools, although a tad cool !! Food was of a high standard, and the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended, would not hesitate to return there.

Went for our honeymoon, they instantly upgraded our room, champagne and treats in the room along with free spa treatments each. Took us to our room in a golf buggy which made it extra special! Always very clean and food was great for all inclusive. Also get a 5 course dinner for one night in their restaurant which was delicious and beautiful. Would definitely recommend the beach restaurant at lunch for BBQ. Staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Easy to get to Kos Town, pools were a bit too cold for the time of year but indoor pool was lovely. Would highly recommend and will be going back again when we can!
