Stayed for 10 days in August. Staff were lovely and friendly, could have been more staff on the pool bar a night though. Good selection of food and we didn't struggle to find something tasty to eat. Only down side really was the local spirits included in the all inclusive weren't really up to much.
I have recently returned from a 5 day break to this hotel with my grown up daughter. We were hoping to relax and enjoy my birthday together. My daughter booked the holiday through Thomson and basically only paid about £100 less than I paid last year for a 5 star Atlantica Hotel in Rhodes which was magical. Unfortunately there is nothing magical about The Aeolos Beach Hotel it should be renamed Faulty Towers! Our room was really basic and very tired looking. There was a leak in the bathroom ceiling which looked like it had been there for some time. No plug in the sink and the bath was covered in black mould. The bedroom furniture was broken in places and there was a fridge but no kettle or drinking water provided (even though we were all inclusive). In the restaurant you were hard pushed to get a drink and when you did they never came back round to refill it! Only a couple of the staff were Greek and the rest of the restaurant staff appeared to ignore the English couples and concentrate on the other holiday makers. We used to resort to getting a drink from the Pool Bar (who were the only saving grace in this hotel and were lovely) and take it down to dinner with us to ensure we had a drink with our meal! The all inclusive is a joke as it only includes the cocktail of the day, and other certain drinks - it's a total waste of time and money and we still had a bar bill to pay at the end. Ice creams are only included for families with children and tea and coffee only until 10.00pm! My husband emailed the hotel prior to us going and paid for a bottle of champagne to be brought to our room as a surprise while we were getting ready for dinner. My daughter had to keep going down to reception to see where it was without me knowing and eventually she came back with a bottle of Asti and 2 glasses at 9.30pm which we drank at the pool side - better late than never but it wasn't the champagne which my husband paid for! The food was not great either - I don't eat meat and my only option was salad and bread most days unless I wanted chips. 2 days we had to search around for spoons to eat our dessert and eventually gave up and ate ice cream with a fork! One evening we went down for dinner and someone had been sick in the entrance to the restaurant which was off putting to say the least! It was lovely to spend a few days away with my daughter but next year we will be going elsewhere!
Had seen a couple of reviews on here and was a little apprehensive but we needn't have been. Set in its own grounds with a pool, pool bar, garden and narrow strip of beach where ever you choose to relax you won't be crowded, unless you want to be. We had a sea view bungalow which had a view across the agean to Turkey and some fantastic sunsets. The restaurant had a good selection of food to suit all, you won't starve, and plenty of staff on hand to remove your used plates while you get the next course of your meal. The only meal that I found repetitive was breakfast but as I said above you won't starve. For those on the all inclusive package the free drinks are not of the same quality as the branded one's but that shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately when we were there only the pool bar was open for drinks, however you could take them back to your room if you didn't want to join in with the evening entertainments. Vicky and Orla, the animations team, organised a variety of activities for both adults and children, ( we found the mini disco, after the evening meal, fun to watch). The on site massage room offers a range of treatments, some of which can be won in the movie and music quizzes.
A lovely hotel that was spoilt just in two ways. We booked a Beachfront seaview bungalow to have a quiet holiday. The room 428 unfortunately only had tepid water to wash and bathe in. This applied to three others that the manager showed us, so we ended up downgrading into the main building. The water was good there and the view was good. The only other minor issues was the marketing said it was a short walk to the town. Well it was a 30 min bus ride and at 35 degrees you wouldnt ealk it as there are no watering holes on the way. Other than these two issues the hotel is very clean and all of the staff are fantastic. The pool is great and the food was plentiful and varied. Overall a really nice hotel and the manger did apologise for the water issues and agreed that he didnt have a solution as he ws not a technical person.
We arrived at the end of August most of the children were on their lat few days of the holiday however the entertainment team was still happy and lively every night. The rooms could definitely do with and update however everything was very clean. The staff, cleaners , restaurant and bar staff were fab. You cannot feel you are in £35 room ( prices according to google search) . My advice get and upgrade and go for the balcony with the sea view , money worth spent. Management wise, all polite until the last day we were asked to pay extra after we asked for a late check out form our rooms. ( which we were informed at the beginning we paid upfront during booking) That got a little unkind and unnecessary and put a downer on our overall experience.
I returned from this hotel yesterday, after working many years in a greek hotel I was a little worried about doing all inclusive but as soon as I arrived I new this would be different, the food was excellent, something different each time and never got bored with it. I would like to thank expecially Eleni who cleaned our room which was 542, she was a wonderful person and someone who worked very hard. Also a big thanks goes to the lady who worked in the shop, never got her name but she was so nice. The hotel was very clean, worked perfectly in every way and all the staff was helpful. My only downfall for this hotel was the animation, I found it boring and we spend most evening on our balcony but that again is my personnel opinion.I would suggest beach shoes as the sea is wonderful once you get in it but very stoney at the beginning. Over all a great holiday would love to go back to see everyone one day, anyone who has booked this hotel will not be dissapointed, it is a dream away from home
We revisited this fantastic hotel for the 3rd year running and have already booked up for our 4th. The beach front bungalows are traditionally Greek style, kept spotless with cleaning ladies going out the way to assist with just a well kept grass lawn to the beach, views and sunsets are breathtaking. The Olympic size pool is enticing and there are many activities to get involved in including volley ball, yoga, water aerobics, and many other things. A truly tranquil experience if required, I enjoyed a full body massage and relaxed the whole holiday. entertainment is an option, the Greek dancers are brilliant at bringing all nationalities together, dancing and laughing, truly enjoying the moment. Staff in every role work very hard to ensure that guests are happy and content, the restaurant staff are fantastic, so is the lady in the shop in fact the pool bar guys are to and of course viktoria the animation lady. The food caters for everyone, no person could complain of food at this place it gets 10/10 from me and I'm considered to be fussy. We have found our paradise, it's only 4 hours away on the plane and we would certainly never tire of coming back time after time.
We have been two times in the Aeolos Beach hotel and both time it was a perfect holiday. Nice beach and hotel, excellent cuisine and friendly stuff. Second time my son lost there a small toy in gardens and the people from hotel were able to found it for him and are going to send it to us right now:)
We stayed in the Aeolos beach hotel for 10 nights. Usually 10 nights is enough but on this occasion I wish I had at least 14! From the moment we entered the hotel we, a family of 4 with x2 young children, were made to feel very welcome. Zero hassle at check-in at a late hour of the evening. The hotel was spotless, very clean and the cleaning staff can be spotted cleaning first thing in the morning to last thing at night. We had a beach bungalow, which wasn't on the beach as per Thomsons sales pitch, but to be fair all we did was sleep and wash in the room so didn't matter too much. The rooms are clean and basic, but like I mention, we only slept and showered so wasn't a biggy. The breakfast, lunch and dinner was better than most all inclusive breaks I have been on. A lot of variety to please most people and of a high standard. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The pool was great. A large clean pool and kept very well. Plenty of Sun loungers so no battle to find one. The pool bar was great, staff very helpful and friendly. The animation team were fantastic, always looking to get people involved and even took the children away to keep them entertained during the day. They had a children's mini disco every night which the kids loved. The beach was clean and lovely sunsets over the surrounding islands. Great views! All in all I was very happy with the selection of holiday and would highly recommend to family and friends. This would be a perfect break for family's or couples and we would happily return. Very relaxing and the weather was perfect!
The hotel is fantastic very clean the food is great different every night always warm. The pool area is great and very quiet as well as the beach. Toliet are very clean. The room was fantastic with an amazing veiw. Anna on reception was a great help. Güi in the shop is a very friendly and happy person. Karolina in the dining area was a great help to my fiancee as she was gluten free and always asked if she wanted cereals or bread. Romeo and florin the bar staff were always happy and made the nights fun and fantastic people. The night porter was always happy to help when you needed anything. Vicky the entertainment was amazing always talking and having a good laugh. Would definitely come back again.
