Beautiful, quiet, food was great, staff friendly, very clean! We booked half board and the buffets were awesome! The place was so green and the beaches beautiful! I know that we will be back in the future!
Excellent hotel again. Very high standards throughout. Lovely climate in October 2018. Fantastic breakfast and spotless room. We were here from 11 October - 18 October and this was towards the end of their season. Nevertheless, the service and standards were fantastic. We look forward to returning. The transfer to the airport for one car is 20 euros each way - a lot cheaper than advertised on some websites. Mastichari is very nice small town and is a 10 euro ride away.
The Hotel facilities are in really good condition: trimmed with a beautiful garden and many clean pools. Furthermore the food is good - could be more varied, but enough for 1 week. Through the lonely location it is very calm and the beach area is lovely. Only point for us to complain about was the service staff in the main restaurant: nearly all servers were very unfriendly - one guy we asked for a cappucino, but he denied to bring one! And they all have a lack of motivation - what a pity...
Really nice staff and the food so fresh and good. Restaurant Osteria amazing. Rooms very clean and pools very nice. Resort that big that too much people for the breakfast buffet. The animations were more for eldery persons.
We spent one week in this hotel end August and were very satisfied with all the amenities and services. The hotel is a big complex but at no time does one feel overwhelmed by the crowd. The rooms and spacious and very comfortable and clean, the pools are also very big and clean and some reserved for adults only. The hotel is right one a lovely sandy beach and there are always enough sun beds. All the staff are very welcoming and attentive, especially the cleaning personnel and the main dining-room staff. Two suggestions for improvements: 1. Guests should be accompanied to their rooms upon arrival (after a long journey, one is too tired to read the hotel map to locate one's room on the vast complex). 2. The staff at the watersports club on the beach should be more familiar with sailing permits that are delivered by authorities other than German ones. My husband wanted to hire a catamaran and was asked to show a licence. When he showed his Belgian licence for motorboats, which covers catamaran boats, he was told that he had to show them a list of all the boats that the licence covered in order to be able to hire a catamaran...That is a bit off-putting when on vacation especially if security was really their concern, they just had to accompany him for 15 minutes to see if he could said or not. Instead they suggested he pay €85 instead of the €55 fee, to be accompanied by one of their instructors to prove that he could sail! It was the wrinkled man with the ponytail who said this. It made us feel like the whole hotel only catered to their 90% german guests and couldn't care less about the others, which is a pity.
We have stayed over two weeks in August with 14-month old baby and we had an amazing time. The hotel is very large with beautiful greenery and very well maintained grounds. It offers several pools, depending on your preferences, with plenty of loungers available. Beach area was lovely as well with clean sand and many loungers as well as gazebos. The hotel is very well set up for children, with dedicated play and nursery areas for children and toddlers (a very shallow pool, little kindergarten room, separate water fountains and outdoor playground). They offer good quality nanny service too but English can be a challenge. Restaurant selection was great, we didn't go for the half board but the buffet when we attended was excellent with a great variety and quality of food, a-la-carte restaurant were amazing (especially Osteria and Taverna) with all staff super nice and helpful. The resort is mostly visited by German tourists (80%) with children. We have to also highlight that we had an issue with the air-con being very loud in our room at night and after a few attempts at repairing it the hotel offered us a lovely replacement room, which was dealt with very professionally. Well equipped gym, water sport centre, a few tourist shops and a small supermarket mean that you don't really have to leave the hotel if you don't want to. Overall - amazing stay!!!
We travelled to The Neptune for the first time in August with 3 daughters ages 17, 12 and 10. We really enjoyed our stay, we loved the location and the views, the restaurant and food was great and service was excellent. The room itself however was definitely not 5 star as billed. I would say 4 star and the bathroom about 3.5 star. Our en suite had a stained and marked bath that didn't function as a bath and the most dreadful shower head, that you put on and off the wall. It was something to endure! Compared to what we consider (and have experienced as 5 star accommodation previously), this did not match up on any level. It was a real shame and the resort itself was lovely the staff so friendly. Special mentioned to Haris and Eleni in the buffet restaurant. I can't ever remember hugging a member of staff upon leaving a hotel before! They were friendly and very attentive. Update your rooms, bring the bathrooms up to 5 star standard and we would definitely return, but until then, we will stick to actual 5 star resorts.
My family and I spent 10 days in this resort (from august 08 to 18, room number 6111). The place is beautiful even if located in the middle of nowhere, several and nice pools, good atmosphere, expecially suggested for families with kids. The reason of my disappointment is because the staff told us that the clients who get the B&B treatment could enjoy 50%discount at the a la carte restaurants. We had dinner 4 times but we didn't get any discount, everytime the charged prices matched exactly the one shown on the menu (both in the greek and in the italian restaurant), the average bill was around eur 90,00 (two adults and a 6year old kid). As we asked to charge our room we thought that probably the discount would have applied once we have left the room, but it didn't happen. We even complained before paying the bill but the clerk at the reception smiled and told us that the discount was already applied (so it means that the bill for 2 adults and a kid was eur 180,00). The point is that we would have enjoyed the hotel restaurants anyway even without any discount, but if you offer it then you have to keep your words otherwise it means cheating the clients.
This is really an awesome resort with everything you can dream of. High class service, beautiful beaches, a lot of activities, a lot of pools, very good restaurants, good fitness centre and the area is stunningly beautiful. I would love to go here again! Thanks for a perfect vacation stay! :)
High quality, clean, pleasant, well designed and maintained. Extensive leisure, beach and sports facilities cater for all ages. Restaurants very good. Not much else nearby but as everything is available on site, this is not a problem. Day trip to historical city or to scuba dive still very easily organised. Prices in resort are reasonable. Could easily spend a long time here and enjoy all of it. I have two negatives to point out: Firstly the mosquitoes are active in the evening despite the hotels obvious attempts to control it so cover up in repellent if you wish to dine outside. Secondly, they only stock local wines which with all due respect for our hosts are mediocre and mostly sour, even if you spend a lot. So wine connoisseurs may wish to go elesewhere. The local beer on tap isn’t great either but they do have better ones in bottles. Non alcoholic drinks and beer are good. One more point is that men should bring long trousers for the dinner dress code. Mostly refined German clientele who set the standard for respecting the cleanliness of the resort. Most North European nationalities also represented as well as Greek guests. Sun lounger ‘reservation’ controlled by staff and not a problem. Overall highly recommend and the best of the approximately ten such resorts in various countries that I have visited. Will return.
