We have just returned from a week long all inclusive to this hotel and can honestly say that it was a delightful experience, but would like to expand on this. ( you can skip to the summary below to avoid all the detail) Staff: the staff in this hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout, despite at times me witnessing some rude customers, they went above and beyond, making sure that the experience was first class. Food: The main restaurant is a typical all inclusive and can be busy and “canteen like” but when there is 100’s to be fed you can’t expect anything else. The food in the main restaurant is good although I would say that it is influenced more to the majority of German guest. They did however served food from here 24hrs a day should you be leaving early or arriving late to the hotel. The A la carte restaurant was exceptional and we were lucky to have been upgraded in our room, which allowed us to have access to breakfast and lunch everyday. The evening meal had to be pre-booked in advance but over the week we ate in each of the 3 themed parts of the A la carte. Fish restaurant, Asian restaurant and smokey grill restaurant. All of which served exceptional food and great service. Crepe restaurant was exceptional and even served gluten free crepe’s, they were amazing! They also had a ice cream parlour and patisserie in this restaurant. Pizza parlour was on the beach and served fresh pizza from 10-6pm and this was just great! Additionally there was hotdogs, chips and burgers over some of the other bars throughout the day. Drinks: You can pretty much get a drink from 10am until 2am if you wanted too and the lager was good, although don’t expect any branded drinks anywhere, but we didn’t mind, they made up for it with an extensive cocktail list. Although there was 7 bars throughout the resort to pick from. Rooms: We were lucky to get a room upgrade on arrival and we were not disappointed as we had a mezzanine room with two bathrooms and patio doors out to the leisure pool. Although it could get busy at times and loud, although it was only 30 feet from the beach. The room was kept very clean and the mini bar was re stocked regularly and the bed was exceptionally comfortable for a good nights sleep. They also provide a free safe and free beach towels that could be changed regularly for freshly laundered ones. Entertainment: the entertainment team work extremely hard throughout the day to provide pool games and activities but we opted out to just relax. There are waters sports available on the beach with some free and others for an extra cost. The evening entertainment was clearly geared toward the majority of German tourists and wasn’t really to our taste, but they do have a separate auditorium for most of this so easily avoided for a quieter evening if you choose too. Summary: it’s a great place to stay for a relaxing week but the location is a little remote with the nearest town 4-5 km away although you could get a bus easily enough if you chose too. The biggest draw is that it is a true all inclusive, there are no add on to anything and you could easily spend the week in the resort without spending a penny, although I would recommend tipping the staff from time to time just for their hard work and that little extra attention 😜. I have seen other reviews mention it’s not really a 5 star resort and initially I would have disagreed with this, but we visited the spa in the sister hotel “blue domes” next door and there is clearly a difference with it being a true 5 star. All in all though it doesn’t matter as this is still an exceptional hotel with exceptional staff and the cost is worth every penny. So ignore the star ratings and enjoy a holiday for a good price cheaper than blue domes next door! The only criticism I would have about the hotel is the dreaded sunbed hogging by guests getting up early to claim the best ones around the main pools, you won’t ever not get one around the resort but it is a little frustrating. I would advise that the hotel try and police this a bit better and ban the dreaded towel claiming of sun beds
Just returned from a week here and couldn’t fault it. As the title says the Mitsis chain prides itself on its Unique Destinations and I have to say of all the All Inclusive hotels I’ve been to this most definitely was unique. We arrived at around 9pm and after a swift check in were ushered through to the main buffet restaurant. What a choice - anyone struggling to find something to eat here must be extraordinarily fussy. Food was of a very high standard during our whole stay. We also managed to have dinner in all 3 a la carte restaurants - fabulous addition and the grill was by far my best meal of the week - amazing! (Photos below). The hotel also has its own Creperie on site serving ice cream, cakes, savoury or sweet crepes fresh to order - amazing! Golf buggy rides from main entrance to our family room up the hill whenever you needed were a fabulous addition especially for our little ones. All inclusive really is all inclusive here, no hidden extras - slushies, ice creams, cocktails, pool towels included. There are 7 pools in total, 5 in the main area (salt water), 1 further down where the animation team did water polo and we had a trial scuba diving lesson (salt water again) and lastly the kids pool with flumes up the hill (only one non salt water). If the hotel is considering any upgrades for next season I’d suggest the latter - improve the loungers to the same padded ones around the main pool area and upgrade the bar area to include light snacks/meals. Our family room was spacious and the mini bar was a welcome addition (restocked every other day). Staff are a real credit to this hotel - most are very friendly and great with the kids. Would definitely return so long as in same rooms out with the main hotel building (no corridor noise) and better air con. Keep up the good work Mitsis Norida Beach, we will be back!
I have just returned from 2 weeks at the Norida beach and I am happy to say that the standards are as high now as they were last year, not that I would have expected anything else. I stayed in a sea-view twin room which came with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay, 32" TV, mini-bar, restocked every other day with water. beer and soft drinks, tea and coffee making facilities and a free safe. The sea view also overlooks the pool area, it's very impressive and also looks wonderful when lit up at night. The new addition of a Creperie and an afternoon tea room are really welcome. I had lunch many times at the creperie as the spicy salami crepe was fantastic, just the right size to enjoy and leave enough room for a nice dessert. I used the tea room a couple of times and the selection was excellent, the choice of teas to make your own custom made teabag was impressive. I used all 3 a la carte restaurants during my stay and the quality of the food was fantastic, I even enjoyed octopus for the first time in the Big Blue and had a fillet steak in the Grill that would have been at home in the best quality restaurant anywhere in the world. The Asian was also fantastic, the Szechuan beef was spicy and full of flavour, just right for me. The drinks as ever were flowing freely and were of good quality, plenty of choice of cocktails and also branded drinks should you ask for them, no long waits to get served if you went to the bar and the table service was also very quick, even when the place was packed. A final comment on the staff, on arrival it's very reassuring to see so many faces that you recognise because you already know how brilliant they are. They work long and hard to ensure you have a great time and really are the best staff I have met in a hotel EVER, every single staff member I spoke to, was served by, was friendly, helpful and a real credit to the hotel. All in all, exactly what I wanted and what I expected to be provided by the fantastic hotel and staff.
This hotel has been recently refurbished and attention has been paid to how real people use spaces. The rooms are light and airy, spotlessly clean with a well-stocked mini bar. The real strength of the hotel is its staff. Each one was efficient, yet made time to talk and offer suggestions. Their warmth made us feel welcome and comfortable. The pool areas are well-laid out and landscaped. There is good access to a safe, clean beach, with a lot of sunbeds. The programme of activities was impressive, even in the last week of September, and the animation team was superb. We used the three restaurants, only eating at the buffet on our first night and one other. The Asian Restaurant served the finest sushi I had had in a long time. The new Creperie was also popular, with delicious sweet and savoury crepes, ice creams and cakes. In all, the hotel offered a high standard of all inclusive food. We took advantage of the Blue Domes Sapphire Spa, which is in the neighbouring hotel.
First of all, the staff is lovely and wondeful interested in your holiday. The hotel is really a beach hotel. There were only a few steps (maybe 70) from our room to the beach. The restaurants, particualr the fish restaurant, are very good. And the view from the this restaurant: You can`t find a better one! Thank you for all. Till next year.
My boyfriend and I booked Mitsis Norida beach on a very last minute deal through expedia, the same day we were due to fly on an alternative holiday through Thomas Cook just as the company went into liquidation. We were surprised and delighted to find that Norida still had availability and so we booked a 1 week all inclusive holiday without delay and flew out the next day. We're currently on day 6 of our 7 day holiday and I am already growing sad that we're going to have to leave this beautiful place. Location: Norida beach is within the Mitsis complex just outside the resort of kardamina. We haven't ventured into the local resort, partly because we didnt fancy the look of it from the bus, and partly because we've just genuinely not found the need to stray from our beautiful hotel, but we did spend one day in Kos town. The local bus takes you from directly outside the hotel at 9.30am and returns at 2.30pm -very handy and a worthwhile visit. There is an on-site mini market and a supermarket directly across the road which means that everything is just to hand. Rooms: rooms are clean and comfortable with comfy beds and excellent air conditioning. The TV channels are mainly in Greek and German but that didnt bother us as we haven't spent a lot of time in the room. Mini bar is handy and stocked every 2 days. Bathroom is lovely - big and clean. Hotel: The hotel itself is faultless and immaculately clean. It's clear that the staff really take pride in everything they do and they keep the cleanliness and atmosphere of the resort to a very high standard. All of the bars are lovely and the reception is very clean and welcoming. The salt-water pools are continually being maintained and are very clean and inviting, as well as the lounge areas around each of the bars. Food: The food in the main restaurant is to a very high standard and very tasty. The restaurant itself is a little tired and dated, though very clean and well managed. We recognise that it's tough to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere in such a large all inclusive hotel so not sure how this could be improved. The tables outside are much nicer and always attract a bit of a wait during dinner times. We have been exceptionally lucky to be able to try all 3 a la carte restaurants during our stay and the food in all 3 have been to an incredibly high standard. The staff in all restaurants have been completely lovely, the food delicious and the atmosphere very romantic - the live music is a lovely touch. Our favourite was the smokey grill and I'd so as far to say that the rib eye steak was the best meal I've ever had! The creperie is a lovely new addition to the hotel and seems to be proving popular! We've eaten there twice already and have tried both savoury and sweet options - both delicious and we highly recommend. Drinks: Drinks have been far better than any other AI offering we've experienced. Delicious cocktails in all of the bars (especially the poolside mojitos) and really nice atmosphere in all areas. We really like the beach bar both during the daytime and at night - very chilled atmosphere and friendly staff. Beach: Norida enjoys it's own private beach within the grounds of the hotel which is fabulous. We're conscious we're visiting towards the end of the season but we haven't struggled at all to find a lounger or space to relax which has just been great. The pizza oven is a lovely touch too, as well as the fresh fruit delivered to our lounger. All in all, this has been a fantastic holiday at a sensational hotel which has really felt like luxury We'd like to give a special mention to Vivi from Guest Relations who has made our stay so special and treated us like friends from the minute we arrived. She is a superstar and has really helped us make the absolute most of the facilities here at Norida Beach. We'll be back!
Arrived back home on the ninth of June .... what can I say apart from it’s the best holiday I’ve ever had. Went with my daughters and son in law, also my two Grandchildren aged 5 and 6 I cannot praise this hotel enough, from the staff who were only to happy to cater to our every whim. The food was fantastic pancake and cake bar, gyros pizza and burgers on the beach al included in your all inclusive. The drinks were fabulous which included cocktails slushies for the kids even a mojito bar all drinks served till two in the morning waitress service. The animation team were fantastic and the really made our holiday especially Rio who had me in stitches the majority of the holiday. Went above and beyond to entertain not only the kids but the adults as well. The hotel was spotless rooms really nice even had a mini bar. Towels provided for the pool, five to chose from some with padded sun loungers and beds with canopies. I could go on forever,I’ve never been on holiday and not had one thing to moan about. If you are thinking of booking this hotel do it!! You won’t be disappointed I’m returning next May with all my family this time, and to be honest I can’t wait. I’m going to upload a couple of videos and some pictures later so you can see for yourself. Thank you Mitsis Norida Beach for a fabulous holiday The Ruffell family (se you next May) 😀🌞🍸
We had another great holiday staying in Mitsis Hotels. The staff, especially waiters/waitresses int the restaurants and serving drinks in the evening were exceptional and a credit to Mitsis. Norida Beach Hotel is in a stunning location, the sea is beautiful and clear and you swim with fish all around you. There are lots of water sports available. We had a 2 bed apartment which was very spacious with lots of wardrobe/cupboard space and 2 bathrooms. Overall the hotel, swimming pools and beach were exceptionally clean and well cared for. I would have given 5 stars but the drinks, especially cocktails were very limited with only 7 available at the top bar, most were rum based which I am not keen on. You could have tequila sunrise by the pool bar next to beach but you couldn’t have it anywhere else. The food was good but not as good when compared to Mitsis Faliraki Beach, this also is the same for the drinks selection. The Cola light was very weak and not palatable. You are in the middle of know where, buses from hotel run hourly to Kardamena a nice town/port for €1.80 each way, as there were 4 of us we caught taxis back which cost €10. We hired a car for a day from hotel, €90 and went to Kos town, Zia and Paradise beach all worth a trip to. We completed a questionnaire whilst at Norida and spoke to the manager re the little things of drink and food, he said that the cocktail list was set by Mitsis head office. Pros: Great beach side location Great staff Spotlessly clean Pools looked amazing, very cold though Apartments very spacious Buses to Kardamena run hourly and Cons: Drinks not great selection and some of poor quality Food was okay, sometimes could have been hotter especially soups The hotel is part of a large Mitsis complex and we were asked not to go in the other hotels. The complex is in the middle of know where about a 50 minute walk into Kardamena which is a nice town/port.
Amazing accomondations, very friendly personnel and the food is delicious. We had the chance to book the a la carte restaurants many times and it is so lovely to be and enjoy your dinner over there. Personnel is over the top friendly. Mitsis is the place to be if you want to have an nice time.
