We had exceptional service at Kos Aktis. Everything from the arrival at the hotel (including a personalised transfer by a staff member from the port to the hotel since we couldn’t get a cab), to the exceptional breakfast service and the outstanding receptionist help throughout our stay. Patmos Atkis could learn a lot from their sister Hotel Kos Atkis with regards to service!!!!
We had arrived at this hotel for our honeymoon and booked the junior suite. Upon arriving the outside seemed as though it would be a decent hotel, the check-in was great, then things started to go a little down hill... For the purposes of evidence to the following claims we've attached pictures. We walked up to our room (which was a little unpleasant, windows overlooking aircon units) and noticed our room number sign was completely smashed (see pictures) Once we entered the room we were somewhat disappointed. The shower wall was covered in scum and the shower head was full of mold and the sink hole was filthy, also the shelf in the shower couldn't support anything remotely heavy (again see pictures). The bath fixtures were also terrible. As we carried on into the room the bed did not look very inviting, the room cabinets were wonky and worn and barely attached and the general decor was tired, lots of paint splatters etc. im not sure what the "suite" is as part of this hotel, it seems to just be a cheap futon facing a blank wall.. We heard that the balconies were the best bit about this hotel but as we went outside it was remarkably noisy and people were looking up at us from the restaurant/bar below (it isn't very private) - see pictures. The table outside was worn and tired (again see pictures) and was rough as sandpaper The staff had kindly put flowers in our room, there was a lovely receptionist who really was the best thing about the hotel, if it wasn't for her we probably would have checked out. We mentioned our issues and she kindly arranged to move us after a couple of days when one became available. The next day we came home after a meal and the younger male receptionist was messing around on the sofas with what looked like his school mates, it just didn't look great. We were eventually moved to a different room, which was higher up but pretty much identical; tired and in need of renovation. Summary: This is a 3* hotel with nice views. Great receptionist. There's a nicer hotel next door with the same views
This was our third time in Kos and the first time in this hotel. When we was here the previous times we had said to ourselves: Next time Kos Aktis, we bet it will be great! And it was so much more than we hoped. Everything was excellent. Modern, minimalistic but all the same luxury hotel on perfect location on the beach-front and just few minutes from the city centre. We stayed in the sea view room, spacious and impeccably clean which comes with big bathroom with bath tub and of course - the sea view as well! The room has everything you need: safe box, coffee machine and minibar. If I want to be extremely picky, TV screen could be bit bigger but honestly this is the only thing which someone might want to upgrade - you have perfect “TV” view of Aegean Sea from your room and this the best anyone can ask for. The breakfast was incredible: lots of choices of warm and cold dishes, both international and local, and local with a twist, so delicious!!! But the real value of the hotel is the hotel staff and every member of it. Everyone was highly professional, really helpful and friendly: nothing was impossible for them and they were extra attentive to our wishes and needs. Special thanks to the front desk staff Thaleia and Eleni! Hopefully next year I will have pleasure to stay in Kos Aktis again!
I stayed in Kos Aktis few days in August and overall experience was wonderful. The rooms are looking into the sea where you can hear the sound of the sea while you are sleeping. You can see the sea even from bathroom. The breakfast was extraordinary. Thaleia and Elena from lobby are wonderful hosts. They both recommend wonderful places to visit , delicious Greek tavernas / restaurants to eat. They are also helpful on all your questions. I highly recommended it!
Hotel has amazing views of the ocean from the bedrooms. Rooms were well designed and modern. Staff were always kind and friendly. The food was always really nice especially the breakfast buffet which has so many options to choose from. The best part of the hotel is the ocean which is just down some steps from the sun lounging area. The only minor fault is the corridors can create too much echo when people are walking past so it sometimes woke me up. Overall great hotel and had a fantastic stay.
Lovely hotel. Thalia at reception especially friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is perfect. Room super with a stunning view from the balcony. Breakfast fabulous choice and all hit food served hot. Pool available at sister hotel 5 minutes away. Lovely pool area. Spotlessly clean. Waitresses there were equally friendly and aimed to please. Would definitely recommend based on our recent visit and the fact that our holiday was made so special by the Kos Aktis/Junior Suites Teams.
This place is everything you can want from a modern hotel, rational rooms, minimal, nice sea view, not far from old town. Staff is nice and accommodating. Breakfast buffet has a good spread. Restaurant H2O is nice. On the downside: - we had an issue with leaking AC that was ultimately solved - the gym is equipment is not kept up and it’s just in a hotel room with limited ventilation -There is no real pool to speak of We would come again.
We stayed at the Kos Aktis Art Hotel for 11 nights in June, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was great short walk to the picturesque harbour, old town of Kos and bit further on Lampi Beach. In the opposite direction we took a gentle stroll along the promenade to the marina which is flanked with various bars and restaurants. The views from the rooms and dining area were breathtaking looking across to Turkey and the busy port. The bedroom and bathroom were good and kept spotlessly clean by the maids. But what also made our holiday was the hotel, bar and restaurant staff, all were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
Stayed here for a week & chose to stay following good reviews. They were spot on, hotel location excellent for access into Kos town, but alos right by the sea so you could hear it as you slept - very theraputic. Breakfast out on the patio, right next to the sea was a new experience for us & the choice on the breakfast buffet was superb. Kept us going fo rthe rest of the day! Staff all very friendly & spotlessly clean. Would definately come back to stay again.
Amazing location and great full sea view from all rooms. The breakfast was great, and I liked how it was very varied each day. Excellent staff. The rooms were very modern. The following could be improved: - The glass partition in the shower required new sealant, every time I had a shower a lot of water leaked through, I suggest the hotel gets this fixed as I doubt all guests will be as careful as I was! - Awful soundproofing - A lot of noise from outside, the sea, the restaurant below, other rooms and people in the corridors. This really needs addressing - it really affected my sleep.
