That was a pleasure to visit this hotel. The food, rooms, pool and entertainment was excellent:) People who works there really nice and helpfull:) Also they helped us when we got lost a my son teddy bear. They sent it to Poland for they own cost. I never forget it. Thanks a lot.
Even though we arrived very late the staff had made up a sandwich, fruit and water. Was worried that the beds would be uncomfortable but they were very comfy. The food was surprisingly good, though we did eat out at the beach quite a lot. The walk to the beach was only about 10 minutes and we did walk into Kos town a couple of times. 9000 steps! The hotel itself is very pretty with well kept gardens and the staff were wonderful. All in all a very good holiday.
This was our third stay in this hotel, second with kids. Since last visit (3 years ago) almost nothing has changed except family rooms has been nicely renovated. Staff is fantastic starting from reception till cleaners. I think hotel as it self is good but this very special feeling is given by staff and this is this hotel additional value. About food - yes, quite repetitive, but very tasty, fresh and for everyone. Only claim is lack of seafood choice in lunch or dinner. We where happy to participate Black and White party. Don't know what to say else. Emmanuel and Matina, You have a great staff and good hotel and I am sending You all my kind words of gratitude. See You all next year as this is only hotel where me, my family and friends want to come back!
Gaia Garden Who is writing these reviews on this Hotel ?? 1st impressions of this Hotel, was it had a nice kerb appeal set back just off the road, we arrived early hours of the morning and was welcomed by a nice guy on reception who after checking us in ( it has a tourist tax of €0.50 per room per night ) showed us to our room. The room was old fashioned but nice at the same time and spacious enough for the the two of us, it had a safe which was €15 for the week if you wanted a fridge that was €20 a week, WiFi in room was good and free which surprised us. The Hotel was very quirky. The pool area was nice and the sun beds are to die for best sun beds I have ever been on ( no life guard ) all though they are very very close to each other. Ok I think that is the good parts done with now with the bad parts, all inclusive doesn’t mean all inclusive their is limited drinks available on the A/I the list is Beer, red & White wine, rum, brandy, ouzo and tequila these were all local brands, if you wanted beer with lime is wasn’t included you had to pay for the lime how tight is that. The bar snacks consisted of cake and biscuits twice a day 13.00 till 14.00 and again 17.00 till 18.00. Hot drinks was tea and coffee, A/I finished at 23.00 and that includes the tea & coffee as we found out when we got back to the hotel at 23.30 seen that the machine was still on got a cup placed it under pressed button then one of the bar staff saw us came round and switched it off without saying a word too us he could of at least said sorry but A/I has finished for the day, we was not impressed at all. Now the FOOD all I can say is that some of the other reviewers must have eaten at another Hotel as at this Hotel it was dire yes it looked well presented but that was about it, it was repetitive every day virtually the same and only LUKE warm, yes the chef did keep walking around and checking to see if anything needed filling up but he didn’t like it if you asked him for anything. There is no show cooking everything was always in a sauce of some kind , Friday night is BBQ night we was so looking forward to a burger and a proper sausage but no, all it was, was chicken or pork skewer or a mixture of chicken and pork with a few bits of onion and peppers thrown in in a wrap for luck. Now to the staff, yes they are really friendly and nice except for the one who turned coffee machine off my only gripe about them is that they SMOKE or VAPE behind the Bar then handle your glasses not very nice at all. The area around, it’s a five minute walk to the local supermarket 10 min to nearest beach mixture of sand and shingle it’s about 25 minute walk
My wife and I have just returned from staying at a unique hotel / complex just outside Kos town in the Lambi area. We arrived in the morning after a 36hr delay and were greeted by the Reception staff that helped with keeping in touch during our delay with TUI via emails as TUI failed to inform Gaia Gardens of our predicament. We were given breakfast and able to unwind after an eventful few days, How lovely, as we have travelled to many Greek Islands staying mainly in bed and breakfast accommodation and had never had such a warm greeting. We were escorted to our accommodation, the walk through the gardens were a sign that this hotel was not what we had expected well maintained and a little oasis of flowers, shrubs, trees leaving a pleasant scent to enjoy. We were given one of the small villas which again were better than we had expected. We quickly unpacked and decided to join in the party that was going on in and around the pool bar area. The hosts were the bar staff who made everyone feel special and after a few tipples they just served you when your glass was empty, very rarely have we both had this professional service in a five star hotel, but wait! This was two star accommodation with five star service, this hotel by the end of our week was punching well above it s two star rating. The whole experience was slowing unfolding over the days. The restaurant staff and food was another surprise! The location was high up in the turrets overlooking the complex, laid out in front of you were lambi, Kos and with the surrounding mountains to Zia; with the sunset in the evening was as good as being in the Caribbean. The delights that were served up by the kitchen staff were again very tasty, fresh and a good variety. We were all inclusive, so we had the delight of breakfast, dinner and evening meal. ALL meals were excellent with the head chef checking his food and his customers throughout the service, it was clear his team were passionate about good food! Well done, this is only seen on cruise ships five star catering in a two star rated hotel? It’s very rare to find an accommodation that surprises you every day I can honestly say that we felt at home at The GAIA GARDENS. Whatever they have should be bottled and sold to everyone, the whole experience has made my wife and I feel relaxed and treated as a human being, s and not as a paying customer. Nothing was too much, every employee at Gaia gardens should be proud of what they bring to this hotel, empathy, compassion, quality service they are all genuine, nothing is false! It’s all real and unique! We could not praise Gaia Gardens enough, and will return hopefully in the near future. Thanks to ALL at Gaia gardens.
We stayed for a week in the hotel, and thought it was lovely and relaxed. The food was good, and the room was nice and roomy. The sheets and towels were changed every day and the floors were mopped. All the staff were very friendly, and the chef was very accommodating to my dietary requirements(coeliac and vegetarian). Our room was quiet and lovely to chill out in after a busy day. We would definitely stay again. Easy walk to the beach and lots of nice local restaurants- and lots of cats!! Thank you!!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful but what makes it is the staff that work here from management to cleaners, they are all absolutely amazing!, we have a 21 month old child who is very active, I asked if we could have a ground floor apartment and we got just that but we was soon to realise that my child could escape the balcony area as it was all open plan which meant if we wanted to sit outside my child had to stay in which wasnt ideal, I mentioned this to reception and within an hour they came up with a solution to our problem and placed a trellis from wall to wall!, this stopped our child from running off and meant all of us as a family could enjoy the open space. Today is our day of travelling home, we don't get picked up until 20:10 but had to be out of our room for 12:00, again with a toddler in tow this would have meant it would have been a very long day for her making our flight home harder, we requested a room extension and was given another room to stay in until 18:00! Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always have a way of helping in any situation!... The waitresses are brilliant also! So friendly and polite! I am so glad I chose this hotel for our 1st family holiday and will definitely be coming back! Only 1 bit of criticism I would have is that there is no entertainment for children and adults but that is all.
Staff were amazing so friendly here, felt like home by the end of the first week. Lovely gardens, beautiful hotel and great pool. Ideal for families or couples looking to relax. Really felt like my family by the end of the trip and they couldn’t do enough for me.
Arrived late at the hotel to be greeted by a very polite member of staff who checked us in quickly and provided us with a bag of food as evening meal had finished (great touch) as we were all hungry and a great first Inpression. Onto the Hotel pool area and sun loungers very clean and tidy staff worked very hard collecting the plastic cups and coffee cups.our room number 42 very spacious and nice size balcony room cleaned daily and towels changed daily all the cleaning staff were first class and friendly a true credit to the excellent team at the hotel. Onto the food what can I say absolutely top quality always hot and not repetitive like some places the chef was always around checking the food temperatures the deserts were as good as a 5 star establishment I have nothing at all bad to say about this hotel maybe a suggestion for the management though is it possible to stop guests smoking around the pool not nice when pool area busy with children having smoke wafting over you, maybe have a smoking area away from the pool and kids. Only other issue which is my fault is that I didn't book for longer. Keep up the good work we will be back to the best hotel in kos by a country mile. In my opinion this hotel is certainly 4 star.
Visited as a family of 4 on an all inclusive basis for 2 weeks. On the plus side the food was good (although a bit repetitive), the hotel and rooms were very clean and the customer service was good. However the rooms were basic and dated, the pool area was crowded (only 1 pool) and there was zero entertainment. It was also irritating that the AI drinks list was so restrictive - no gin or vodka which is a little ridiculous and unusual for most AI hotels. Wine and coffee good quality.
