We visit Kos Island a few times per year and this is the first time we stayed in a hotel without any sea views. Unfortunately by the time we made our travel arrangements, our usual hotels where fully booked. The hotel itself is fully renovated and super clean. But we did have issues with the very young and inexperienced staff. For such a small hotel, you would have expected a bit more of a personable experience. One day at the pool I brought over a glass of water from the pool café to my lounge area. One of the waitresses came to me almost yelling that these glasses are not to be taken to the poolside and replaced it for a plastic one. This was a waitress that has been seeing me for three days now and could have resolved this issue in a much friendlier and nicer manner. Another day, my husband and I, places our towels on two lounge chairs by the pool (the very few ones in the shade) and sat literally a few feet away at the café for about an hour. When we returned to our chairs we found another couple sitting on them and the young lifeguard (who is usually on her phone!) told us that as 45 minutes had passed and we didn’t use the chairs, it is their policy to free them up for other customers. Seriously??? We were right there! She could have told us - again - in a nice way and not ruin our day at the pool as there were no other chairs in the shade available by that time and we had to leave. She never apologized and instead she just asked us if we have read the welcome letter which states all the rules!! We travel all over the world and something like this has never happened to us before. For a hotel on an island that doesn’t even have sea views, I would think they would try a bit harder to make their customers happy. When you are on vacation, you want the whole experience to be a positive one and it is a shame when it is overshadowed by issues like these.

This is a great hotel. Modern, clean and a multi-national melting pot! Rooms are bright with aircon (switches off when balcony door is open) and fly screen to balcony door. Tea/coffee making facilities provided but no cups or spoons that we could find. That was the only downside but luckily we had travel mugs with us. When you first arrive it looks like you are in a residential area but once you get your bearings you are only a few minutes walk from everything. The pool area is lovely and has a resident lifeguard. We noticed a lot of reserving of sunbeds at silly o'clock on our first day but the hotel seemed to stamp this out fairly quickly , although you do have to get there reasonably early if you want a bed in the sun all day. Pool bar is excellent and does a good range of snacks/drinks. Happy hour there from 4pm to 6pm and they knock 40% off the bill so good value and excellent cocktails. Recommend the Pinky Lady ice cream cocktail! The pool bar is also where the entertainment happens. Not every night and fairly laid back. A singer one night and pianist another. Fairly laid back music - a lot from the Rat Pack era and a Greek night on Wednesdays. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and work very hard/long hours. Stayed B & B and the breakfast selection every day was good. They also have a chef cooking omelettes/eggs to your requirements. Overall a lovely hotel right in the centre of things. Would highly recommend this hotel, central to everything.

Stayed here for the last 2 nights of our Dodecanese tour. The large room was excellent with an interesting bathroom design. The double sink area was open to the bedroom area with a bath between it and the bedroom (honeymoon setup??). Shower and toilet were thankfully in separate enclosed rooms. Breakfast area was very busy although we never had to wait for a table. Freshly cooked eggs and omelettes were a bonus but the other hot food wasn't hot. Melon slices came with skin on. I don't like that. Lovely pool area with enough sunbeds for everyone. Unsurprisingly the pool bar/cafe was quite expensive so we didn't use it. Enjoyed the stay but probably wouldn't pay that much again for a hotel.

Myself and my wife had a wonderful weeks stay here , from the moment you arrive you know you're going to be looked after by the great staff , rooms are excellent and spacious and decorated tastefully , breakfast had everything for everyone ,the pool bar offers great meals and snacks , I must pay special mention to the pool bar staff who are just great and nothing was too much trouble , rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels also everyday , the staff all take real pride in the hotel , we kept our room on for a small fee as we had a very late flight and again no problem for the team at Blue Lagoon City Hotel , definitely recommend this hotel if you are coming to Kos City. Ps Location is great 5 mins in to the beautiful old town and in the other direction 5 mins to the harbour. Thank You to all the staff Matt & Jane

Stayed in this hotel twice this year once in May and once in August. Location is great. Rooms are clean and spacious. Cleaning service in the room was perfect! Reception staff was welcoming and kind. SPA is very pleasant. Small gym and indoor pool it's all you need. Outside pool was kept clean. As someone else mentioned Bar have very good cocktails. Now something less pleasant. Breakfast itself was good with big variety but sometimes dishes were bit cool. On the other hand tomatoes were always too cold. F&B manager was kind and helpful and welcoming. What I can not say about rest if the staff. We actually felt like we bothered restaurant staff. I was really wondering that maybe we have done something wrong. Wasnt nice feeling. One day waitress by mistake cleaned our table when we went to get desert, we sat back at same table even there was no plates, there was still mess we did. Instead of simple "sorry" we were asked to move to other table. We were trying to explain what happened and basically we found out it was our fault. It wasnt nice as we dont like to complaint or cause trouble. Overall stay was pleasant. And there us many good things. But it's hard to enjoy your stay while during breakfast you feel that you really are bothering others. And it is uncomfortable feeling.

Having booked to stay here for a week the rooms, food, and service are very good....very dissatisfied towards the end of our stay when the receptionist had said we could book a late check out to 1800hrs, which I might add was charged at €40...ok going to confirm this the day prior to departure as instructed to I was not very politely informed that this was no longer available I would have to check out at 1200hrs as the hotel was fully booked. Point 1 - having been assured we could have the late room we had made plans which had to be cancelled, not happy about that. Point 2 - The hotel was not fully booked as I checked numerous websites and actually decided to call the hotel and enquire about this and was informed rooms were in-fact available, I believe the receptionist simply could not be bothered to sort this out for us. The attitude around this has left me disappointed with the hotel and I’d genuinely consider not using the hotel again due to this fact, I’d expect much much more from a high end of the market hotel.

First time as a family that we have stayed in a hotel as we tend to go to a villa. But the Blue Lagoon did not disappoint. It is incredibly clean and tastefully decorated. The staff though are the best bit of the hotel. We found the staff really friendly and kind. I was impressed by just how hard they worked and still kept smiling. Having never been to kos before we asked for restaurant recommendations and we enjoyed all five that were recommended. The hotel will not disappoint, I would happily recommend it.

This hotel is new and fresh and located 5 minutes away from restaurants and shop. you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes. Some people rent bicycles but we like to walk and if you just stay in the city centre, no bikes are needed. Hotel has a spa with some treatments, we took total body massage and manicure, both were very nice and well priced. Breakfast buffet is called American, but covers everything! Pool is big enough for the amount of rooms they have, sunbeds were just enough when people switch between pool and beach. From the spa you can borrow towels with 10 EUR deposit and you can change the towels every second day. All in all great hotel for relaxing holiday!

If you are looking for a conveniently located, clean, new and comfortable hotel - this is it. This place is quiet, pretty close to the beach, close to the city centre, the stuff is super friendly and helpful. If I come back to Kos then I will pick it again. Thank you!

I selected this hotel on Kos for a small (22 persons) tour group from the U S. It was the perfect choice. The hotel is conveniently located. It is a modern hotel with well appointed rooms. The hotel and the rooms are clean. The beds are of excellent quality. The service is excellent. The breakfast offers an excellent selection along with an omelet bar that prepares omelets to order . All of the members of our group mentioned how pleased they were with this hotel.
