I went to Astir Odysseus with my friend for a girls beach holiday & it was everything we wanted and so much more! The hotel is perfectly decorated & is always pristinely clean. The staff can never do enough for you & it really is the staff that made this trip for us. Everyone from the pool bar team, to the lobby bar team, to the waiters, waitresses, receptionists, spa therapists - literally everyone, went above and beyond for us. I want to give a special shout out to the entertainment team too - they were all so friendly, so energetic & so inclusive of everyone in the resort. Extra kudos to Jennifer & Amy, who made my stay extra special. I did yoga, stretching & Pilates with them 4 times during my week stay & I absolutely loved it. Thanks girls - have a fabulous season! I cannot recommend this resort enough, for couples families or friends. There was a real mix of people there, but it works for everyone! Even though there were a lot of young families there, I thoroughly enjoyed plenty of peace and quiet. Thanks Astir Odysseus & every single one of you that work there - I had a truly wonderful week!
During our stay at the hotel astir Odysseus, our 5 year old daughter became very unwell, with fever, vomitting and a sore throat. The hotel rang the out of hours doctor for us who came to our room within half an hour of the phone call to attend to our daughter. I have to personally say this doctor was fantastic, Dr lalla. She diagnosed our daughter straight away with tonsillitis and advised us on everything in which we needed to do. She stayed with us for a while and calmed us worried parents down. Being far away from home with a poorly child was very stressful, however a few minutes of speaking to this Dr who was very professional and spoke wonderful English helped to make us feel at ease and a lot less worried about the situation. She was able to write down in Greek a note for the taxi driver and pharmacist exactly what we needed. And in English she wrote down the instructions for the medication. This made the whole process so much easier for my husband as he went off late in the evening to get her medication. Only a few hours after phoning for the doctor, my daughter had her first lot of medication and was fast asleep. I cannot thank this wonderful doctor enough for her help and support, in making a bad situation a lot less stressful than it started out. Thank you!!
Spent a week here from 14th May and had a fantastic time. Room was clean and had a fantastic view over the pool and sea. Bed could even be changed daily if we wished. Bar service was great and a fantastic choice of drinks, thank you to Stelios for the great service. Food was excellent, we ate in the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, lunch was either the poolside bar or main restaurant. A fantastic choice of food wherever we went. Food was hot and all areas were very clean. A massive thank you to Stella for the excellent service, she was fantastic, a credit to the company. All staff were very friendly from management to housekeeping staff. Entertainments team were like the rest of the staff, friendly and helpful. we wish them all the best for the show this year, we were there on opening night and they did fantastic considering they only had a few days practise. We had a fantastic time and hopefully will return in the NEAR future. Have a great season
Our third visit was great again. The whole is so beautiful with all the plants and pools. The stuff was just great; always in a good mood and super friendly. The food at the Buffet in the Achilles Restaurant was fantastic for Breakfast and Dinner. For lunch or a sunset Dinner there is the Argo Taverna with the greatest chef of all times. In between you need to try the great espresso at the Sirens Bar, hard to beat. Swimming every day in the nice pools or the sea was fantastic. A little bummer was the climbing tower not working but we hope for the next time...the music concept has some potential as well but overall just a great hotel...we'll be back.
My husband and I stayed at Astir Odyssey for our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly, namely Stella and Jenny two lovely hostesses who cared and ensured their guests were well catered for and always served with a smile. The entertainment team (Sebastian, Dom, Dennis, Amy, Jennifer) just to name a few who put on a great show as well as daily activities such as shooting, crossbow, water aqua etc. They also greeted guests at dinner time and throughout the day also with a friendly, welcoming attitude which made our stay even the more awesome. Maria on the front desk was so helpful and check up on progress with our issues/problems with Jet2 ensuring we had a comfortable stay and were well taken care of by Astir Odyssey. All staff were welcoming and friendly mainly the ones mentioned. We would definitely highly recommend Astir Odyssey to anyone (but ensure you do not use Jet2). Thank you to all staff for making our stay memorable and enjoyable.
We have just returned from our 2nd stay at this hotel but this visit was for 50+ guests who joined us for our big day. Once again the hotel.did not disappoint with a variety of food, pools and activities. All of guests rated the hotel highly and they were very accomodation, even allowing my uncle to play his guitar as part of the entertainment, twice! I feel the only thing that let the hotel down was the range of activities for the older children. My son is 7 and I wouldn't use the kids club (personal choice) then all other activities were fall adults. Maybe just a kick about, footie school or pool games would have been fun. On the morning of the wedding we ordered drinks to the room for the bridal party, we were all inclusive but still charged €90...this was not explained when we ordered and if we'd have known we'd have walked to the bar ourselves.... Apart from that the hotel were very accommodating and the al-a-Carte service was fab when 50+ of us attended for a pre wedding meal but again, we were charged €90 for 3 guests (2 adults and one child) to join us, little things like this should be considered as, we'd brought a large party who spent a considerable amount at the hotel whilst there. We'll return one day, maybe on our 10 year vow renewal xx
We arrived to a very impressive reception area and a warm welcome from the reception staff. After filling in the normal forms we were given a detailed explanation of all the facilities at the hotel and a bus timetable to Kos town. Our room was one of the swim up rooms which was lovely.Very well equipped and spacious, with mini bar dressing robes and slippers. We were all inclusive and the choice of food was exceptional if you can't find anything to eat than I will be amazed! All the areas of the hotel are kept clean and the garden areas are well maintained. Entertainment staff work very hard and always very polite and friendly. Guest relations are on hand everyday if you have an issue or question and speak fluent English. If you have an issue speak to these people first as they can sort it out for you there and then...rather than complaining about something on trip advisor afterwards!!! Most of the staff are very friendly and work very hard. To mention a couple of staff members that stood out for us were Eca at the main bar always making sure you had a drink at all times and taking time out for a chat. Anita in the restaurant had a great sense of humour and always smiling very efficient and the matredee (sorry forgot his name) always greeted in a efficient friendly manner. The hotel is a way out from Tigaki and Kos town but a local bus is available. We hired a car from Kosmos cars at the hotel which was easy and hassle free and reasonably priced. Finally a couple of improvements that I would personally like to see..make a block of the swim up rooms adult only as I feel that this would work for many people as the rooms are of high standard and would be free of giant pink inflatables!! Service in the main restaurant was sometimes lapse taking a while to clear tables,to bring glasses over dependant on which "section " you sat in. One of the bar men ( micguel ?) the main bar ignored us on several occasions and hardly managed a smile. This was frustrating as all other members of the bar staff were great!! Would definitely return.
Great hotel Looks like brand new - well maintained super clean Friendly staff Great huge rooms- the pool rooms looks great Good food - although could be better for this level of hotel Highly recommended !!
Very nice hotel operated by very nice, polite, friendly and supportive people. The best hotel I ever had in Greece. Very good food with a lot of local Greek dishes. Nice rooms and overall very good location. Very motivated people. The Spa is perfect too.
I went with my family - 3 generations and booked through Jet 2. The rooms were clean, bright and airy. The choice of food was excellent. The food in the small BBQ restaurant was delicious. Our favourite waitress was Lola. She was very helpful and friendly. She helped pacify our almost two-year old.We also used the Mini Club. All staff were helpful, friendly and informative. Lastly I must mention Barbara in the entertainment section. She was helpful, cheerful, friendly and vibrant. She would put a smile no anyone's face. A very memorable holiday.
