The Buri Rasa Village is a delightful boutique hotel situated on a beautiful stretch of Chaweng Beach. The hotel is calm and quiet whilst being close to all the bustling activity of the busy street and with in easy reach of shops and restaurants. From the moment we arrived and were offered a lovely cooling welcome drink to when we left after two fabulous weeks every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay as perfect as possible. The resort is well run and spotlessly clean throughout with attractive gardens. Breakfast is an excellent buffet with everything anyone could need with live cooking stations and of course not forgetting the delightful Thai tea and coffee corner. If there is anything you want which isn't on display you only need to ask. The hotel serve little treats at lunchtime around the pool and on the beach and of course there is always a tasty special at lunchtime available at the pool bar. There are a couple of buffets each week and a very good a la carte menu served on the beach or close to the beach each evening. The guest rooms are comfortable but a little tired and in need of refreshing. The free WIFI is excellent throughout the hotel. We have previously stayed in a larger resort on the same stretch of beach but would definitely return to The Buri Rasa Village.
We stayed at Buri Rasa two nights, it was a great experience. The stuff is nice, friendly, lovely, just like your own house. The location is on the Chaweng main street, that is very convenience. The room is classic tropical type, that was good! We joined their cocktail party, that is good! Before the cocktail party we already met other guests who stayed at the resort as well,so we have a great time with them at the party. Although the room type doesn't have pool or amazing view, but it was so comfy!!! Because of the service is gorgeous, our room was well cleaned, and all things were ready for you. If we come back koh Samui again, we will choose them! Highly recommend!
We last stayed at the Buri Rasa in 2013 and were impressed enough then to want to stay there again when we made a return visit to Ko Samui in 2017. The hotel is located right on the beautiful Chaweng beach and is just a short walk away from all that the Chaweng Beach Road has to offer in terms of shops, restaurants and bars. It's a small and cosy hotel. The hotel is furnished in a traditional Thai way - predominantly dark wood, but with all modern conveniences. If you want something more contemporary in design, the look elsewhere. It's beautifully laid out, with a meandering path leading to the bedrooms and onwards to the spa, restaurant, bar, pool and beach. It's planted with lush, tropical plants and trees. As before, the hotel has maintained its high standards of service, cleanliness and comfort. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who always greet you with a smile. Although we had visited many of the sites that Samui has to offer, we still took up the suggestion to take a tour to some other places that we hadn't visited previously. The hotel provided us with a driver (Siwat) and one of their vehicles. It was well worth it. During our second week in Samui we stayed at a hotel on Choeng Mon beach. I have to say, the beach at Chaweng is far better - less rocks and uneven surfaces under the water. The sea water is slightly warmer, too. We were very happy with our return visit to the Buri Rasa and are missing the lovely people that we met there (particularly the very helpful and attentive Tono). We wouldn't hesitate coming back to this lovely hotel.
I was two week's in this hotel. The Service was awesome, all staff very friendly and helpful. The room's very clean and a good place to relax. The Pool site was good, is nice to relax at the beach and to enjoy the sun.
Myself and two friends were here for 4 nights and it was the perfect end to our stay in Thailand. The service was excellent and the staff was amazing. We got a massage and also a body wrap/massage and loved the masseuses! Such sweet ladies. Breakfast was delicious, the front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful, and we loved the driver Suwit who took us to a restaurant the first night and then to Big Buddha and Fishermen's Village another night. Overall, great experience!!
Stayed only one night as we moved out of another hotel in lamai that had a mouldy smell and wantec to finish holiday o a high.. We are sorry we did not stay here our whole holiday. Its a real Thai experience. The room was spotless and the service impeccable. We were made to feelso welcome. The best beach is Chaweng the water is so blue and the sand so white and fine compared to Lamai where you could not see your feet ...this is very important we found . There are dozens of great hotels in the area and some are modern and huge but we were happy with a more personal style. There are plenty of restaurants near by on the beach front. We enjoyed Banna Fan and Eat Sense next door for variety and beach front to enjoy the view and cooling breeze. Hotel has romantic beach dinners on the sand ....would be .great honeymoon location you feel so important and private. Private plunge pools are adequate but you need to wear swim wear as others can get a slight glimpse from balconies. Although cold they can heat pools on an hours notice. Rooms adequate in size Massage was fantastic Breakfast more than adequate Yes I would stay again
I book this hotel in 2014, i stay here for 4 days. Everyone here is so sweet and warmly. I remember the beautiful view of this hotel, remember the delicious food(i have a dinner with my wife in the beach). Buri Rasa is small, but you can do most everything here, reading room, relax room, fit room and spa freely. What i really remember is the service of this hotel, my flight leave Samui is so so early, but the hotel supply the breakfast for me and my wife. This is so warmly. After i back, i suggest my friend to this hotel in April 2014. She book two room for 5 days. She also said ’This hotel is amazing‘ Next time i come to Samui, i will still choose your hotel. By the way, the price of your hotel is rise so much compare with 2014.
My partner and I stayed there as our second hotel in Samui. The feelings were totally different than the former hotel and we loved it. We made the right choices to try different hotels in different locations. This hotel is located by Chaweng beach and we thought it could be busy and noisy. Actually, the spot of hotel location is not crowded, yet relaxing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped inside as it changed your mood from busy to peaceful mind. Lots of greenery and nice layout of building and structure. Breakfast was wonderful by great selections of dishes of Asian and Western food. My favorite station was the homemade Thai Tea stand. It was original and enjoyable when you watched them making the tea. We could not forget mentioning the staff at Buri Rasa!!! All staff went out of their ways to take care of us. They even remembered what we ordered for breakfast yesterday. WOW!!! We had problem confirming our flight ticket and they tried their best to help us got it happened. We felt that they really did it from their heart not by duty. We will come back to Buri Rasa for sure!
This is definitely a gem and I thoroughly enjoyed my few days here. I was traveling alone and right from check-in the customer service was flawless. The location is great to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. The rooms are spacious with a terrace/balcony that is truly stunning. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and offers plenty of choices. They took care of every detail during my stay and the front desk was always helpful. It was raining when I stayed, so I was not able to enjoy the beach, but it looked beautiful. I would definitely recommend Buri Rasa for families and hope to return soon for a longer stay.
We booked two rooms and stayed five nights at this boutique hotel. What we liked about this hotel: - Nice sandy beach - good location, close to many good restaurants on the Chaweng Street - Very friendly team. On the second morning after we arrived I complained about the loud music at night and they arranged another ocean-facing room for me. - Daily activities at 3pm in the afternoon which was a nice option to kill time for a bothering rainy day - Good breakfast - beautiful garden although a bit small - Spacious room and bathroom What we did not like: - Too many mosquitoes at the end of the rainy season although it is not just this hotel's problem. They did provide mosquito repellent but still... I have been to Phuket many times and never felt the mosquitoes there were such an issue to us. - The swimming pool was way too small. It looks like a pool for decoration purpose and I never saw any adults swimming inside. The so-called "children's pool" next to the "main pool" was a joke. My bathtub at home is bigger than that "children's pool". During our stay it was dangerous to swim in the ocean due to big waves and strong current. It's ridiculous that you find no place to swim in an oceanfront resort. - The pool bar next to this hotel was very noisy even after midnight. For the first two nights it was difficult for me to fall asleep. If the room is not far from the road the street noise was also annoying. To be fair it is not this hotel's fault but light sleepers should be warned. - Check-out took 5-7 minutes to finish as the housekeepers need to go to each room to check if we have taken or damaged anything. We had an early morning flight to catch and settled the bill the night before, but we were still kept waiting for 7 minutes as we booked two rooms. - They put a folded cloth bag with their hotel logo on your bed every evening, making it look like a complimentary gift from the hotel. Before we left we took it to put our dirty clothes inside. After the housekeeper checked our rooms the receptionist asked us to return it as it is not free. So in the hotel lobby, with an early fight to catch, we had to open our suitcases, find that bag, take everything inside out, give the bag to the reception and put everything else back into our luggage. What an impression left to us after our five-nights stay at this hotel!
