I had the option of breakfast in the 5th floor lounge, which was limited but select, and very quiet and luxurious. All the staff there were were welcoming and professional. Jean and Chef Neil were exceptionally helpful. There was something interesting and different every day, especially in the evening canapes sessions from 6 to 8.... The atmosphere is luxurious and relaxing.... Between the breakfast and canapes, I really didn't have to order any other food for myself, though my family tried a lot of items on the room service menu, and were delighted by most of them. The hotel staff were all very professional, helpful, and friendly, and I wish I could remember more names to mention.... Housekeeping did a thorough job cleaning daily, the gym was clean, well maintained and well-equipped - all the cardio machines had TV and wifi, the indoor, outdoor, and kids pools with water slides were all clean and well maintained.... · They offer a FREE boat ride. It was free so I cant really complain. But it would have been great to set out on time and have some good music, or better still, a recorded description of the sights and buildings on either shore. I knew a few of them myself, and they are really interesting to hear about. As it was, the boat ride was rather boring. It rained in between, which was rather welcome since it broke the tedium of slowly wading around. Another minor point was the sourdough bread, which as far as I could tell, was not sourdough bread but a normal loaf. It had no sourness at all... though was a perfectly good freshly baked loaf of bread.
Had a great expectation about the property ,but overall the service came to me as average. Pros-great rooms and shower area with an amazing view of the backwaters at night! Cons-check in procedure was slow also the hotel seems full of restrictions and they didn’t bother anything but the money.
Beware of scratches and dents inflicted on your vehicle when in possession of the valets. The rooms and the hotel itself is top class. The rooftop grill restaurant serves fine food, but is quite taxing on the wallet
Grand Hyatt is one of my favourite place now .mr Ashim Ahluwalia we met him at lobby was there for all help ....staff were very friendly ,good food got and amazing ambience in suit room ..with great garden and lake view
Good location, ambience ,well maintained rooms. Courteous staff, good food Kid friendly and family friendly The place to go for a short break from the hectic schedule. Will definitely recommend for a family holiday
We had organised a dealer conference here on 4th and 5th of August 2019. The conference was for 60 pax and we had booked the hotel well in advance. The challenges started even before the conference. The hotel was demanding full payment in advance inspire we being a multinational automobile major operating in India for past 20+ years. It took lot of pursuing and convincing to make the hotel agree for 50% advance with MOU. This was a first for us with any hospitality group . This conference is organised overseas most of the times with the likes of Sheraton, JW Marriott, Taj hotels etc and we never had to pay advance. Still we persisted as the property looked awesome and was the new one in Kochi. During the conference, there was absolutely no flexibility with the hotel management. Right from dropping the memento in guest rooms to WiFi in the conference Hall, each and everything was on chargeable basis. This was very unlike what we had experienced with other hotel chains, where the hotel management did lot of things volunteerly. Even though the OPOC Pooja was very cooperative, it looked like she was tied with company policies. Further there was always a communication gap at the front office which were frustrating for us. The staff used to change shifts and usually failed to communicate the intrinsic details. Great plus is the really awesome property, serene location, functional rooms. Maybe good for tourists. But for corporate requirements, it's ok if you are ok with charges for everything.
I have stayed at the hotel for a short period and it gave me a wonderful experience. What I really loved about the service of the staffs!!!They are just so welcoming and helpful..We were on honeymoon and they took a excellent care of that. Monisha, she has done really a wonderful job and made our stay unexpected. We had the breakfast at the club lounge and dinner in lobby restaurant. The selection of food was fantastic and tasty!!! I would like to highly recommend this hotel to stay!!
REVIEW OF GRAND HYATT BOLGATTY COCHIN We arrived from chennai at Cochin international airport on saturday morning and drove down to The hotel The Grand Hyatt Bolgatty , to attend a family wedding engagement during the week end . . It was ofcourse a long 32 km distance and almost took an hour of drive in a luxury Ac bus to reach the Grand Hyatt from.the airport . Grand Hyatt Bolgatty is a beautiful luxury waterfront hotel amidst 26 acres of plush green garden land on Bolgatty Island, Kochi , with rooms overlooking the backwaters of the VembuNadu lake . We were received with traditional kunkum applyied ti our fore head by a Beautiful receptionist and both checking in and transfer of our baggage by the hotel staff from the bus to our room was very smooth . This luxury hotel boasts of 264 luxurious guestrooms , including 38 suites and 4 villas with plunge pools with private access. The experience of dining in their restaurant overlooking the back waters at the ground 0 was out of the world . The welcome drink offerred was a tender coconut typical Kerala hospitality . The staff were very helpful and very courteous .The buffet had both kerala and North Indian menus . My wife chose North Indian Tandoori and I prefferred Kerala menu . She enjoyed thier Roti ,butter Nan with dhal Makhni , panner tikka masala and kadai vegetable .According to her the taste was very good . My kerala menu of Appam with veg Stew and Malabar parotta with avial and Thoran was divine . Of course those who prefferred non veg , I am sure they would have enjoyed the fish and mutton on offer . Their dessert of Milk payasam was very tasty but their chocklette mouse was just ordinary .Black current icecream was fine . On the whole the dining experience was very enjoyable after our tiring and delayed flight followed by a long drive . We retired to our room on the 5 th level and we were take in by the view of the Lake and the city scape . The bed itself was king size and very comfortable . The toilet was very plush and luxurious . Its perhaps one of the best places to stay in cochin . The tariffs vary and since our host had made a bulk booking the tariff must be reasonably good , otherwise it hovers around 10 to 13 K per day with bed n breakfast for twin occupation and depending on type of room . It has all the facilities of a 5 star hotel Like swimming pool , gym, confrence rooms ,spa ,free internet with adequate parking facilities . I would recommend this hotel for both domestic and.foriegn visitors to cochin for a good experience and it is easy to explore the city and the countryside and carry out tours that include backwater boat rides , elephant rides, wildlife visits, bird sighting, food & spice trails and boat races.
Visited this hotel for a conference and had an opportunity to taste their cuisine though I did not stay here. Food was delicious but the menu remained almost unchanged for the 3 days of the conference!
My stay during the conference was delightful. The hotel is new and very well appointed, gives a feel of luxury and comfort. The rooms are very spacious. The food was far better than expected and the buffet layouts were exhaustive. The staff whether in front office or restaurants and banquets or in housekeeping was very well trained and groomed to handle luxury clients. The facilities are up to the mark.
