We came to stay at your dump to celebrate the Tulip Festival in Pella a few miles away. We were very disappointed at every element of our stay in our two rooms at the Red Carpet Motel Knoxville Iowa on May 5 to 8. There were cigarette holes in the sheets. We had to unplug a lamp to find a working outlet. There were no handicapped rooms. Had to change rooms mid-stay because toilet would not flush. Not adequate food for continental breakfast the second and third days. The food that was served was old and bland the second and third days.The rooms smelled of mold and cigarette smoke. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. The male manager on duty was very rude and did not listen to requests for assistance. The female manager was unfriendly and did not interact or help us at all. One customer was 89 years old and had limited mobility. A second customer has difficulty walking. No one was willing to listen to our requests for any help with anything We are extremely disappointed and, unless we receive a partial refund, will tell all of our staff of the five companies that we own that no one should ever book a room at any Red Carpet anywhere.
