Great selection for breakfast and very tasty. Comfy bed. It was market day (Wednesday) so traffic was really busy, we was having trouble finding somewhere to park, I telephoned the hotel and asked if it was okay to park early, they said yes and also I asked if we could park beyond our checkout time and they said yes. So stress free excellent service and experience 👍

Room and staff excellent . Breakfast very good . Only drawback is hotel cannot be accessed before your book in time as is no manned reception before then . Would have helped if we could have dropped chases even if we couldn’t get into our room .

My number 1 choice in Knaresborough

Great location in the centre of Knaresborough. Very helpful to have plenty of onsite parking. Comfortable bedroom. Very attractive and welcoming communal sitting room. Outstanding breakfast - wide variety of hot and cold dishes.

Great hotel

Our room was clean and spacious. The decor throughout Orchard House is beautiful and there is also a comfortable lounge area. The breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choice. We have enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

This has to be the worst hotel I have stayed in, in a long time. That bad I checked out a day early of my 2 night stay. The hotel smells of mould/dirt and just ran down. The shower in the room was barely giving out water which was poor to say the least. Staff wearing just normal everyday clothes so you had no idea they worked there. I would avoid this hotel at all costs - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

From checking in the staff were friendly and very polite. The breakfast was excellent, cooked fresh and to perfection with plenty of toast and coffee on tap. There was plenry of choice as well as a continental option. The room was excellent and the honesty bar is a great touch and not expensive for a late night treat or glass of wine.

Great location, not so great room

The receptionist was pleasant and helpful when checking in. Unfortunately the room was very dusty and dated. I found myself sneezing quite a bit and had to open the window to get some fresh air. The bathroom shower door was hanging off the hinges, luckily I managed to put it into place to have a shower. The selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate was great as well as the "mini bar" options. Overall the stay was below par as the rooms really need improving, the bed was uncomfortable and dust made it bearable for only 1 night.

Good Hotel in Beautiful Town

The hotel room was large and well furnished, though the bed was slightly uncomfortable and I think the mattress had seen better days. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good and catered pretty well for our vegan diet, though the vegan milk options were somewhat limited. The hotel is ideally placed for access to Knaresborough town centre and had ample private parking.
