After searching for options, as a party of 7, we truly felt we had found a gem of a hotel in the old part of the city that was very much up to modern and comfortable standards. Plan to visit again as trip was work related so hope they have room for me next time.

Great hotel. Well located in the heart of the old town. Service couldn't be friendlier. Comfort and atyle are present of course but there is a little something more. Especially with morning breakfast.

On the whole, the National Hotel offered very good value for money as far as I was concerned. We were given a very attractive, spacious room, which was one of the best features of this hotel. The breakfast offered was adequate in that there was some variety and reasonably good quality. One staff member in particular, Greta, offered very good service indeed and demonstrated genuine care for all guests. What was truly outstanding was the hotel restaurant, 'The Fat Cat', to which I would award 7 stars if I were able to do so. That is because it was consistently excellent in terms of quality, quantity and service. Accordingly, we went there for dinner on three occasions. There were of course areas in which improvement could have been warranted. The room itself was cold initially, and a space heater was quickly delivered although initially it did not provide adequate heat. So a second heater was supplied and subsequently the room was amply warm for the duration of our stay. The front desk staff were attentive, with some exhibiting more warmth and care than others. On one occasion cleaning of the room was not carried out adequately at all, while on another occasion, it was thoroughly cleaned. We would therefore consider staying at this hotel if we were to make a future trip to Klaipeda.

The hotel was advertised as having parking which it did not. It was very expensive to park on the road outside. My room was across from a pub and club which did not close u till 4.30 p.m. The picture was taken at 3.57 a.m. Needless to say I didn’t get any sleep. The hotel’s answer - ear plugs!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Sehr gute Lage in der Altstadt, 10 Minuten mit dem Velo vom Bahnhof. Wir konnten unsere Velos über die Nacht gratis im Konferenzraum lassen. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, auch zum Ausleihen vom Besteck für eine Jause im Park daneben. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig, nur leider wurde das populärste litauische Gericht (Quarkbällchen oder varškėčiai) nicht nachgefüllt.

Stylish old hotel

Perfect location for strolling around the old centre of Klaipėda. The staff were without exception very polite, friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated that, after my arrival relatively late in the evening by train from Vilnius on a hot day, they let me take a large draft beer up to my room, even though the bar had already closed.

This is a great hotel in a great location. We had a beautiful suite. We had a great buffet breakfast. Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed wine in the beautiful attached bar/restaurant.
