10 of us stayed 2 nights at this quaint hotel. Upon arrival, the computer mouse was broken and it took an hour to check us in. 2 of the couple's were erroneously checked out after 1 day and needed new keys. The rooms are reasonably large but poorly designed. On the third floor they all have a low slanting roof. 3 couple's injured themselves by hitting their head on the roof. The beds are low but comfortable. There are only 2 electrical outlets so bring extension cords and octapusses. There are two small night tables and a small desk. If you have more than one suitcase it will go on the floor. One couple gave in some laundry. They had difficulty getting it back in one day and they were overcharged. We would not stay here again.
Great location in the center of Klaipeda old town. Own parking but many parking places on the street (be careful - you need to pay from 8h till 18h). Good breakfast. First time I see quinoa pudding for breakfast in a "super food" section. Very nice and helpful staff.
Great location - center of old town. Tasteful breakfastn very friendly and polite stuff. I've stayed for 4 nights. Wifi in room is slower than in lobby. I would recommend this hotel to everybody. Looking forward to come again!
Of the six hotels we stayed at during our tour, this was the most basic. It was a small room lacking in amenities such as a water heater to make coffee or tea and even clothes hangers were few. The TV was a small computer monitor size and not convenient for viewing. The buffet breakfast was the simplest of the hotels we stayed at. At least WiFi worked well in the room.
I had a room at the 4 floor during my business trip to Klaipeda. The hotel is nice for me, but because of noise at the first floor from the bar (where reception is located) I thought that something should be wrong. I have no idea why this hotel share the first floor with the bar? But after arrival to my room I realise that my room will be quite. I did shut down the AC unit and open the window. I don't know, maybe in summer time this floor is hot as hell, but in autumn is perfect. The most important thing that I like is that they have very small TV screens in the room. I think it vas 22'' screen size. I think that there is nothing to do with TV in the city :). The cleanliness was not perfect as I found dark hair on the bathroom's wall and dust on the carpet under the commode. The carpets at the entrance of the corridor seems to be not very new. The breakfast was good. They suggest parking not far away. But you may chance to get free reservation place at the doors of the hotel. This reservation place is 12m long (for 3-4 cars).
Stayed for 1 night in this hotel during our weekend in Klaipeda. Rooms are ok. Nice shower with good flow of water. All toiletries are provided. Rooms are quite big and soundproof. So despite central location you don't hear anything. Good wifi service - free of charge. Hotel doesn't offer parking, but during the weekend you can park anywhere in the streets for free. Snacks offered in the room are expensive. €5 per bottle of water. Breakfast is in the nice restaurant, served from 8-11. Decent standard selection but nothing major. Location is great for old town and port where you can get a ferry across to the dolphinarium. It's 5 min walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants near by. A decent Irish pub is 2 min walk. Staff is friendly. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.
Overall ok hotel, but was somewhat noisy because of party downstairs and neighbourhood. Air conditioning not working well especially at night which is more frequently a problem for me in hotels. Otherwise clean and in decent location.
The three most important factors in the real estate realm are a single word: Location. National Hotel has that in spades! As part of an Overseas Adventure Travel tour group, we were booked at National for two nights. Our tour group members walked to restaurants and the port and Old Town, the heart of which is National’s location. We received a warm welcome, but the slow elevator caused me to take the stairs to the top floor—the penthouse! Although that’s only the fourth floor, I needed the exercise after a motor coach ride from Vilnius. Location aside, hotel staff members are gracious and offered recommendations. The room (I forget the number) is spacious but sparsely furnished, though there is an additional single bed tucked into the sloped roof alcove. The bathroom has modern facilities, and a soaker tub long enough for those of us over six feet tall☺ The breakfast buffet is fabulous—pickled herring and salmon, things rarely found in American hotel breakfast buffets. I can’t imagine a better hotel or location in Klaipeda, Lithuania’s oldest and second largest city, and only seaport.
We stayed there for a night and our room was clean and cosy! It is located in the heart of the town packed with bars and restaurants of all kinds. The hotel staff were smiling and ready to answer all our questions! In case you are driving there, finding a parking spot could be an item, but there is communal parking spots right outside the hotel for free from 6pm-8am. Otherwise the hotels offers parking for 4 euros per day. If you drive around the area there is great possibility to spot a free space. Recommended!
Ideal location. Walking distance of most everything. Wonderful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Clean spacious room. Quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Good restaurants within walking distance.
