Nice, clean property

Walk to beach, convenient, needs work
Room was clean. Check in person very friendly , gave us suggestions for dinner, area attractions
Loved the location! Perfect for a morning walk over to the beach for the sunrise every day. Very friendly staff as well! Only thing I didn't like was that there was no maid service, and the continental breakfast wasn't great either. That said, neither of those are a big deal; I wasn't in the room/at the hotel much all weekend (was out traveling about the OBX) aside from going to sleep every night. Would recommend (and already have)!
The pool was closed. There was no easy access to hotel or easy access to beach. Looked a bit run down with several machines and amenities not working.
The beds were comfortable and the hotel was close to the beach. I did not like that the pool was closed due to repairs and this was not posted when booked. The hallways looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time nor painted with the water stains on the ceiling. The bathroom shower could have used CLR to remove the calcium buildup and stain. The refrigerator could have been cleaned out but was not and had sticky residue in it. I was extremely disappointed in the accommodations after paying $742 for two nights.
Easy access to the beach
Room needed repairs to ceiling,. No housekeeper so after 2 days we put all the towels and garbage outside door thinking they would replace, no such luck. We found a housekeeper that evening she said she would bring up to us immediately but never did. Had to go to front desk to get. Refrigerator had so much ice build up couldn't use to shelf. No ice bucket, iron or coffee maker as stated online. Pool was also closed.
Property totally run down, lots of water damage in ceilings and along outside walls in room. Air conditioner not working properly and room smells of mold. Filthy carpets in hallways and rooms, dilapidated bathrooms. No workign phone (no cables to connect the handset on the nightstand) or coffee maker in room (although listed on the website). Way overpriced and overstated on their website.
Considering this hotel is about half the price of every other hotel in the area, I really can't complain too much. It wasn't the cleanest place I've stayed in, but it's a private room and bed in the outer banks for half the price.
