We have been to this property several times and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit! The location and amenities offered are just as described. We had no rain so enjoyed sunny days at the beach, sitting poolside, and cooling off in the pool. The early part of the week was a bit windy so could not swim in the ocean; however, by Wednesday, the wind had died down. We went shopping, out to eat, and Thursday the guys went off-shore fishing and had a great day on the water. Overall, a great, relaxing week!

Overall, we loved it. Beautiful house and clean. Love that it’s closer to the beach. Very short walking distance. The only thing is that the pool water keeps getting lesser. So for couple of days we have been filling it up. Maybe has a crack in it. And the front door the lock doesn’t lock. Sometimes we have to wait to see if it works. Still happy and satisfied with the outcome of the place. Enjoyed our stay very much

Great Location with Easy Beach Access

Nice and clean house that worked well for our group of 8 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Kitchen was very well stocked with many extras and we had everything we needed. The ice maker underperforms and seemed to generate enough ice only to fill several glasses during the day. The middle floor remained cool, but the air conditioner had great difficulty keeping up during the day and the top floor was regularly over 80 degrees when we returned back from the beach each day, despite all blinds being closed. Main bedroom on top floor has direct access but also shares the bathroom with the top floor. Queen with private ensuite on middle floor (wish it was a king!) and second queen has direct access to a bathroom but also shares with hallway. Pool was a great respite every day and was used A LOT, even by this beach-loving group. Only 1 small table with an umbrella so very little shade available. We ended up propping up our beach umbrellas every evening to provide some shade. Well-kept grassy area and we utilized the cornhole boards. Great decks and we spent many late evenings out on the front deck/porch, watching the world go by. We love the stop and shop Exxon and was so convenient to have it right next door after more than 20 years of walking a block to it.

Labor Day stay

Visited Just Diggin It for what I think is our third stay. Unfortunately, the week was pretty windy and no swimming signs posted all week. Also charter boat trip was cancelled. Despite that, we managed to spend a few hours each day on the beach, and enjoyed time relaxing by the pool. Brought bikes but didn’t go out for a ride until Sunday! Ate at Sooey’s, Millers, and Captain George’s (while catching Thursday night opening football)), and watched Commanders from the house on Sunday, grilling burgers outside (not end result we hoped for!). Some of the family went to karaoke at Jolly Roger’s on Saturday night. We did some shopping and miniature golf. Laundry bags were missing so we had to leave sheets and towels in front of the laundry closet. We had a fun week and enjoyed the amenities of the house and its location, despite the weather! Another successful family vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at Diggin It. It was convenient to the beach, shops and restaurants. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. The pool and hot tub were great for evening swims with the kids. The recreation area was perfect for entertainment as well.

Diggin It Great time at beach with family

The house was great for the family including two under 3 yo! Loved the pool and hot tub. Convenient to beach, shopping and restaurants. It was very rainy due to hurricane Debby but there were games and the bumper pool that kept everyone busy. Jockey Ridge was great. Overall a wonderful trip. The Stop and Shop across the street had great breakfast and subs/sandwiches.

Second stay at Diggin’ It

We had another great stay. Carrie is a wonderful host. The house is very close to the beach. We enjoyed having our morning coffee looking out at beach. Our teens loved the pool and hot tub. Very relaxing stay!

Outstanding

This is our 2nd time renting Diggin’ it. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We had a great week of full sun and awesome memories. Loved the short walk to the beach along with the handy convenient store across the street and the restaurants within walking distance. The pool & hot tube made the afternoons and evening very relaxing. Thank to the owner who was very responsive to all our questions and needs. 5 star rating!!

Girls Trip

This was the best house for our 55th birthday trip! Plenty of rooms & bathrooms. We LOVED the screened in deck! Spent every morning out there having coffee, looking out at the beach & people watching!! Hot tub & pool were just perfect & kept clean all week by the very friendly pool guy!! Location is AMAZING! We walked to dinners, got sandwiches at stop & shop, & enjoyed a short walk to the beach!!!! Our host was awesome too! Always quick to reply!! 5 out of 5! I would definitely recommend this house!!!

Family Vacation

Diggin' It was everything it was advertised! The layout of the house was perfect for our family vacation. The kitchen was large enough for all 6 of us to eat together and play games at the kitchen table. With the 4 decks, there was plenty of room for all of us to get outside and have privacy in the morning and afternoon. I was very happy with the views of the ocean from the deck. Carrie was great to work with and reached out to us to let us know when the house was ready for our arrival, and checked in with us to see how we were doing. My entire family commented on how great the house is, and felt this was one of our best vacations. Thank you Carrie for making our week amazing!

Location is outstanding. Some of the door locks need attention as some wouldn’t work correctly. Could never get the front door to take the code. Code would take but lock mechanism did not engage.

Perfect location. Perfect Host

GREAT house, perfect location. Total comfort. Our long weekend consisted of Mother Nature being ugly. But the amenities provided & comfort of being “home” was amazing. The pool & hot tub were utilized-even though the cold & wind tried to prove otherwise. For us, the location couldn’t have been much better. I would recommend this home time & time again!!!

Great getaway

Enjoyed our week at ‘Dig it’! This was a repeat booking from 2021 and we do not have any regrets. The location is perfect and we enjoyed both driving and riding bikes to grocery store. When we needed something immediately, the beach store right across the street was perfect! We brought 2 bikes and rented one for the week from the bike store right across the street. We ate at Dirty Dicks, Sam and Omies, and Sooeys barbecue - and were not disappointed. We got carry out from Pigmen’s barbecue and I got your crabs - both were good. The water got rough and there was no swimming the last 3 days, but we spent some time sitting on the beach and at the pool. The new table and chairs in the screened in porch were wonderful! From last year, we did not have adults sleep in the bunk bed and instead used the sleep sofa on the first level. We really enjoyed our week away (6 adults and 2 dogs). The dogs loved running in the yard. The house has something for everyone!

Amazing! The perfect OBX getaway!

This property was exactly as described. The location was absolutely perfect. The beach was just a short walk across the street and the Stop and Shop/Exxon next door had everything you needed. We loved being in this location as it was so close to all the activities and restaurants. Carrie was a wonderful host and was responsive and very easy to communicate with. We would happily stay at her property again!

Great Stay

House is excellent! Pool and Hot tub were great! Kitchen was great! Owner was very responsive with any issues! Only caveat is that the main road outside the house is quite loud throughout the night. Trash pickup at 4AM and was loud and twice during the week.

Felt like home

We had 7 people total, including 3 kids between 4-11 years old and there was plenty of room for us all. We were in the pool every single day! Close enough to tons of activities, short walk to the beach, a few things on hand for beach goers including a folding chair. We were surprised to find a few pool toys as well. Super easy locking system for main door. Would stay again!
