Located on the 5 mile stretch of Sugar Beach, many visitors find this white sand beach the best for their morning and evening walks. Central located, many Maui destinations are easily accessible including Kihei and Wailea in the South, Kula and the road to Hana Upcountry, Lahaina and Kaanapali in the West and shopping and the airport in Central Maui. Maalaea Surf is just moments from a deli, shave ice shop, bakery and ABC convenience store. Ma’alaea Harbor is just 5 miles North and features Maui Ocean Center-one of the best aquariums in the U.S. as well as dining and shops. Many snorkel and whale watching tours leave from this harbor.

Everything was perfect at the condo for our stay! Everything was clean and convenient! The location was exceptional. It was very quiet and very relaxing. We were able to enjoy the beach actually from our deck.

Almost perfect...

We had a great time. The unit is very nice. However, there is some deferred maintenance issues. The AC leaks water from the vents, including in the dining room ceiling onto the dining room floor. We kept using towels to mop up small puddles. The stereo system would have been excellent in the 1990s, but a) has a blown speaker and b) has not blue tooth option or way to connect one's phone or tablet .

We had a wonderful time in Maui and with our stay at Maalaea Surf!The location in Kihei is a great central spot on the island. Makes it easy to get to all the popular areas on the island without travel being too long. It’s also just a short drive to nearby restaurants and stores.The condo is spacious and comfortable. It was stocked with all the amenities you may need including beach towels and beach chairs. The kitchen well stocked too. Beds were comfortable. Pretty good merge of support and softness.Being located right on the beachfront is great! The large lanai has a beautiful view of the ocean, beach and nearby islands. It was a peaceful way to start the day with coffee on the lanai and watching the canoes go by. With direct access to the beach it was so enjoyable to go for a morning or evening walk on the beach. The condo does face the pool so you will hear activity going on during the day if you have the doors open. But when closed they block out noise well. As others have mentioned there is some background road noise at times due to the proximity to the nearby road but it was nothing that kept us from sleeping. The overall property is well maintained and a quiet and relaxing location.
