We may not be able to stay anywhere else on Maui after staying here! Ocean view 3 bedroom villa was very nice. We utilized the full gourmet kitchen daily. Having enough room to spread out was key! Access to the amenities at the Grand Wailea was awesome. Kids (8, 10, 11) loved the pools and slides! The grounds are beautiful at both Ho’olei and Grand Wailea. Wailea beach is great for swimming and snorkeling.
We stayed at the highest point in Ho'olei in a beautiful 3 BR 3 Bath condo. This gated property is across the street from the high end resorts and beach walk which we easily accessed. It has a great pool and the views from our lanai were breathtaking! Makena Beach is a short drive away with parking. Voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii. We definitely stayed in the most desirable area of the island and highly recommend it to anyone interested.
I took my family of 7, all grown children/spouses, to Maui in September. We have been several times before, and stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort. This was our first time to stay in the villas at Ho'olei, and will definitely stay here from now on. Our villa was absolutely beautiful, well decorated, well appointed kitchen, with comfortable beds and furnishings. We had an ocean view from our lanai, making it extra special. Having all of my family in one villa was so much more fun than us being split up into separate hotel rooms. We bought groceries for making our own breakfast and some lunches, which really cut down on the cost of eating at restaurants. Our best dinner of the week was the one where we grilled steaks and shrimp on the lanai, enjoyed it with a bottle of wine, and watched the sunset. The living area had a huge sectional sofa and comfy chairs, with a big tv. There was plenty of room for all of us to watch a movie together at the end of the day. The concierge was very efficient and bent over backwards to make sure our stay was wonderful, They paid attention to every tiny detail. Every employee we encountered was super friendly and very helpful. The shuttle takes you over to the resort or anywhere within the immediate area. This was such a plus! Walking to the Resort was a short walk, but having the shuttle to call at anytime made it easy for times when we were just too lazy to walk. Taking the shuttle to nearby restaurants was fantastic, no need for one of us to be the sober driver. The shuttle drivers were all so friendly and helpful. Believe me, we wore them out with our group! We had a wonderful time on the beach and in the pools at the Grand Wailea Resort. In the afternoons, we headed to the Ho'olei pool for a nice retreat from the hustle of the big resort. The pool at Ho'olei is absolutely beautiful. My family travels together every year, and all seven of us agreed this was the best vacation ever. We cannot wait to come back!
Visited in August with (5) adults and (2) kids (age 6) in a 3-bedroom Deluxe Oceanview Villa and enjoyed every moment. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen was stocked with all serve/cookware we could need. It was wonderful to be under the same roof with our whole group instead of split into separate hotel rooms. We loved the convenience of grocery shopping and keeping food in our villa for easy breakfast, snacks and stay-in dinners. You can't do in-room dining in the villas, but we ordered food for delivery from local restaurants! Views were incredible. The family pool for Ho'olei guests is much quieter than at the resort. It was great to have access to all the facilities at Grand Weilea, but the privacy and calm of a villa stay. Service was wonderful, staff were friendly and attentive. We had a car rental, but the complimentary shuttle service throughout the area was a great perk!
We do a family vacation every year, and chose the Grand Wailea this year, choosing a condo at the Hoolei are this year. We are a grandmother, uncle and family of 4 children and mom and dad. 8 people in all! We enjoyed our condo so much, and the good transportation back and forth from the beach was wonderful.
My family of 6 adults and 2 young kids stayed in a 3 bedroom villa which was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we had a shuttle driver there to help us get our luggage placed in the room while we waited to check in. We were escorted up to villas by Linda whom was very personable and friendly. When we stepped foot into the villa, we were blown away at how immaculate and luxurious it was. From marble floors to the breathtaking ocean views made it such a wonderful experience. We decided to cancel one of our dinner reservations in Lahaina so we could take full advantage of using the BBQ grills for dinner. The beds were super comfortable and gave us a well rested sleep. We were spoiled because if we wanted a break from the busy pool across the street, we could be secluded in the private Ho'olei pool. Don't get me wrong, the pool at Grand Wailea is my personal favorite for the kids. Not only was the facility first class, but I appreciated the nice amenity snack basket and drinks provided stocked daily. The team members were always friendly from the Manager Kyle whom greeted my family at check in and helped us with anything we needed. I also like to give kudos to Michelle, Hazel, Hilda, Ikaika and all of the shuttle drivers. Everyone was so friendly and treated us like we were royalty. I hope to return to Hoolei again because it was such a wonderful time with my family. We didn't want to go home. Thank you for a memorable experience for my family!!!
We were in unit 37-4 which had 3 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths. It even had an elevator to make it easy to bring the luggage up to the bedrooms from the garage. It certainly had everything we could possibly need for our week in paradise. It was a hike to get to the Grand Wailea and coming back was very difficult because of the steep hill that you have to climb to get to the condo. But it was so comfortable and there is a stunning view of the ocean from the balcony.
We stayed at Ho'olei at Grand Wailea for 5 nights with our family of six. The 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath condo we were in was perfect for our stay. The condo was large, with a well-appointed kitchen, living room, laundry, elevator (within the unit), and patio equipped with a large gas grill. Two of the three bedrooms also had patios. The unit was on the top of a hill, which afforded a wonderful view of the ocean in the distance. We had full use of the amenities at the Grand Wailea, which is a short, easy walk (although the walk back to our condo was uphill!). When it got too busy for us at the Grand Wailea pool/beach area, we used the pool at the Ho'olei. The Ho'olei also offered free on-demand shuttle services to the Grand Wailea and other local spots. We opted for the Ho'olei so our family could hang out together in the morning and evenings, and this was perfect. We did order some light groceries prior to arriving (a service provided by the resort at an additional fee) so we would have some breakfast foods, snacks and drinks, and they were in the condo for us when we arrived. The resort provided coffee for the coffee maker, water, coconut water and juice; all were refreshed daily as necessary. We enjoyed our stay at the Ho'olei and would highly recommend it.
It was our 35 wedding anniversary and we had 2 rooms reserved at the Grand Wailea (which we have been members at for almost 10 years). When we arrived they offered us a villa at Hoolei. I was initially a bet reserved since we always stay at hotel side but sine we it really suited our stay with 2 rooms it worked out wonderfully! The villa was beautiful and stocked with everything. The beds are very comfortable and it was very nice to have our whole family together in one unit! The pool was really nice and a quiet reprove from the busy fun Grand Wailea pools. We will be back!!
I normally stay up in the Kanapali area, however we decided to stay in Wailea a couple of nights this trip. The Ho'olei is superb in every facet! We had a 3 bedroom villa, that overlooked the pool (in fact its on their postcard) I honestly cant find a negative to say. the suite was beautiful, the grounds amazing, the staff was probably the best trained hotel staff I have ever come across (and I have a degree in Hospitality Management). One person we talked with stated that she loved coming to work. I believe her, it showed! Another plus is access to all the ammenities across the street at the Grand Wailea. I really do wish we had stayed longer here. Our other accommedations paled in comparison.
