The view from the condo is GORGEOUS! The property management company, Ali’i Resorts was amazing, responsive and super helpful. The unit itself left a lot to be desired. Due to only A/C in the livingroom, the master bedroom was unbearably hot, the window screens were really terrible. They were broken and old—no way to actually keep them closed. The carpet was gross, there were no sheets for the livingroom pull out sofa (but the property management company dropped some off). There are no curtains or blinds in the livingroom. The shower floor is stained and gross, the vent cover is disgusting in the bathroom. The bedroom curtains were stained and falling off. Overall the unit needs some serious updating. It was recently painted, but everything from the stove to the windows, and showers were old and unappealing. I have stayed at several condos on Maui and this was by far the worst in terms of condition. The worst part was how hot the bedroom was. The AC unit blows hot air directly towards the poor quality screen door of the master bedroom, making it impossible to get a cool breeze. You can either have the AC in the livingroom on OR try to cool down the master bedroom with ocean breeze—but not both.
