Acorn Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 4 bedrooms

The entrance porch, which provides storage space for coats and boots, opens into a large living room with plenty of comfortable seating and an open fireplace with a traditional Lakeland stone surround, TV, DVD, Bose CD player and radio.

A fully fitted quality kitchen and utility area contains an electric double oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble-drier.

The separate spacious dining area has table and chairs, bookshelves with a selection of books, CD's, DVD's, toys and games for your enjoyment.

On the first floor there is a large master bedroom with super king size bed (can be made up as twin beds on request - £15 charge applies) and room for a cot if required, a king size room, a newly fitted bathroom with a shower over the bath, a vanity unit with basin and a wc, and a further washroom with basin, vanity unit and wc.

On the second floor there are two single bedrooms with views of Castle Head and Walla Cragg through velux windows. These two rooms are light and airy but have limited headroom.

Outside there is a small enclosed rear patio with a gated side passage giving access on to the street. There is unrestricted on-steet parking in front of the cottage. Free unlimited Wi-Fi is included in the rental.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and an ironing board.

Mid week stay at Acorn cottage

We had a very comfortable stay from Monday to Friday at Acorn cottage despite some rather wet weather. The cottage was nicely decorated and furnished and well equipped. It is well positioned to walk in to Keswick to take advantage of Keswick's attractions.

Close to town centre and spacious

Spacious property, within walking distance of town. Did report that bins were overflowing outside with black bags piled high both on the floor and on top of the bins on two occasions (appeared bins had not been cleared for weeks). Some areas of 5he property were a little dusty otherwise clean. The kitchen is rather small for a property of its size making it a bit difficult to have more than one person using it at a time, and bath a bit tight to get in/out of. Beds comfy.

Perfect base for lakes adventures.

Second time using acorn cottage, Its a perfect location for access to the town, and the lake. Many walks can just be started from the doorstep. Cottage is again clean and perfectly equipped with everything you need for your stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay

2nd visit to this gorgeous cottage. Beautiful as ever. Everything you could need like home from home. Trimmed up ready for Christmas which we loved. Spotlessly clean. Having the fire made it very cosy. So close to centre with so many beautiful shops/pubs and attractions. Loved the Christmas/victorian market. Such a lovely community. Will book again soon. Thank you

Lovely cottage in central Keswick, east to get to the lake and the town centre. Spacious lounge and dining area with good sized bedrooms. The top floor only really suitable for children due to head height.

A good week at Acorn Cottage

We had a very good week staying in Acorn Cottage the property was very clean and the beds comfortable. The cottage is well equipped we didn’t really want for anything. Our dogs even had their own welcome pack of treats and a chewy rope. Our only criticism is that the settees were quite low, so all in all we were very happy.

Nice cottage, great location

Pleasant stay, great location close to everything. Property is clean and comfy, stayed before and would definitely stay again. Only issue is with the gate at the side to the rear doesn't close properly and dogs can get out onto the road.

Very Comfortable Cottage in an Excellent location in Keswick

My family and I plus the dog stayed in Acorn Cottage for a week. The Cottage is in an excellend location within a 5 minute walk into Keswick Town centre. The cottage was clean and very spacious, large living room and dining room and large bedrooms. The welcome packages left were good and very thoughful as there was a separate one for the dog. I have recommeded this to family and friends and I would certainly return. Thank you

Fantastic Cottage

We loved Acorn cottage! A great location in Keswick, within a few minutes walk of the town, with some lovely shops and nice pubs! Derwentwater and Hope Park also just a few minutes walk away. Acorn cottage had everything we needed, it was clean and well equipped and the beds were comfy. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great place to stay and ideal location

Thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in Acorn Cottage which is in a great location - a short walk to the town centre, bus station and to Derwent Water. The downstairs was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The beds were also very comfortable but the 2 bedrooms in the attic do have very limited headroom and so are best suited for older children maybe. I would definitelly go back and would recommend

Perfect place to stay with my family of mixed ages

Beautiful,comfy house in the best location...lovely bedding, soft furnishings & furniture, little courtyard a plus being with my 2 year old Grandson.Town moments away,loads of cracking places to eat & drink,fabulous Market,Cinema ,Theatre.Hope Park is stunning & boat trips launch regularly from Derwentwater, even the Supermarket is great (Booths).Bus Station has regular services ,we went to Ambleside to meet Family & enjoyed the scenic route ,a quaint beautiful little town.

Fantastic Property & Stay in Keswick

We visit Keswick regular and this was the first time we have booked through Keswick cottages and the experience was fantastic. We particularly liked the easy booking system and the digital guide with everything we needed to know for our entire stay at the lovely Acorn Cottage. The cottage itself was fantastic, doggy friendly and had everything we could have needed for our long weekend stay. It was clean, spacious, super light and airy which made it a nice place to chill between walks and beers. The cottage was well furnished and cosy. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you.
