very cold feeling at this facility - too rigid, and nothing within walking distance for entertainment or culture besides walks. Staff stiff, and food acceptable but nothing to return for. If you wasn't a feeling of the Irish in Dingle, I would not recommend this hotel. I felt like I was in any hotel USA.
I had heard so much about this hotel But I have to say I was disappointed but first I have to praise the staff very friendly and efficient. The bedrooms were very disappointing. small uncomfortable double bed with a single bed almost wedged against it. The room itself was small the door banged off the waredrobe every time you opened it The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom was much the same small narrow bath with overhead shower also not very clean No hand towels but they appeared sometime in the evening Very disappointed with the standard of room we were given .We checked in around 3.30 and were allocated our room perhaps it hadn't been cleaned fully but then it shouldn't have been allocated .There was a wedding reception taking place in the hotel on the same day so they were busy with wedding quests but our experience should not have been affected in such a negative way we were very much looking forward to our preplanned pre Christmas treat. This is not by any means a cheap hotel but our experience it does not offer any value for money.
Stayed here, thankfully for only one night. Way overpriced at €250! Breakfast disappointing to say the least. Massive revamp required. I would certainly not recommend this hotel nor will I ever return. Next time I visit Dingle I will check out the great looking B & Bs.
Gorgeous views! Breakfast was good! Rooms could do with modernising but the views 100% make up for it. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful with ordering a taxi etc but just generally really friendly and welcoming! Would definitely recommend.
This hotel is located on Dingle Bay and is about 10 -12 min walk into the heart of Dingle town. The hotel itself is nicely appointed with nice rooms and bathroom, clean and comfortable. I utilized the fitness center (which I was surprised to find) and it is a well stocked fitness center, better than most hotels, without a doubt. Loved that just outside the parking lot there is a cowpath or small walking trail out all the way to the lighthouse. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the breakfast area were just beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. After a night out at the pubs the walk in the rain back to the hotel was a bit dark, not difficult, but with pouring rain and chill wish it had been shorter, lol. At any other time, however, the walk is perfectly reasonable!
The hotel's location is second to none. We were blessed with glorious sunshine in November and the walks even near the hotel were spectacular. The staff were super. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the very prompt table service of tea or coffee with toast was much appreciated. Evening meal in the restaurant was good without being exciting but great service
Rooms were lovely. Staff were very helpful. Can walk to everywhere from resort. Most relaxing stay we had whilst in Ireland. Beautiful walks & scenery. We enjoyed our pamper day massages, spa, sauna & beautiful food. We got a massage package that included a light luncheon. It was absolutely wonderful ended up staying an extra night we loved it so much
We stayed here at half term with our 4 lively boys. Hotel is completely geared towards kids. Staff were so friendly. Lots to entertain kids - movie room, kids club, Play station room, snooker table, swimming pool. The hotel is spotless and the food is to die for. I could not recommend the whole experience enough. Just a 10 minute walk to the heart of town Dingle, this is a full service hotel with a bar, restaurant, pool, and spa. Rooms are spacious. Decor is a bit worn and dated. Full Irish breakfast in the morning. Eggs can be specially prepared if desired. Nice clubby and cozy bar area. Good selection of whiskys. Good location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Lots of tour buses stop by here. Kind of neat to look out your window with cows in the pasture next door only a few hundred feet away.
Where do we begin? My Wife and I recently got married in the Skellig hotel and to be honest we were speechless about the whole experience. Once we agreed to get married in Dingle, there was only one venue that was on our radar. From the first day we met the team, to the day we checked out after our wedding, we could not have wished for more. Every request we made, was accommodated, and more. Every minor detail covered, every big decision, catered for. Words really do not justify how amazing this hotel is. Our opinion is echoed by all the guests that were present for our wedding. The biggest talking point was the food. Everybody, including ourselves we're blown away by the flavours. We had the luxury of a food tasting evening, and the choices we made that evening, the standards were raised the day of the wedding. Simply outstanding. For us, the staff make the Skellig Hotel what it is. So many names to mention. Graham, Karen, Sheila, Rosarii and Kirsten were a delight to deal with. Special mention goes to Danny Cahill. He really went above and beyond what was expected, even up until the last few moments. A true gentleman and professional. The whole process was faultless. Even on the morning of the wedding, Dingle was hit with a severe storm. One which the Skellig was prepared for. The staff were offering lifts for guests to go the hairdressers, and even the church. It's these personal touches which separates this hotel from the rest. I could genuinely write paragraphs upon paragraphs about how impressed we were with the Hotel. We will never ever forget what this hotel did for us, from start to finish. It holds such a special place in our hearts, and we will continue to visit it on a regular basis. If you are considering this venue as an option for your wedding, then book it. You will not regret it. Kevin & Ellen Grummell
