We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel, and from the welcome when we arrived until we left the staff were all so friendly. We had a room at the back with a lovely view over the fields, the room was comfortable and big enough for a short stay. The hotel is on a busy road but is in a very convenient spot for exploring the area. The buffet breakfast was excellent and well laid out out in in a lovely bright dining room. All in all an excellent stay.
Stayed here overnight after exploring Kent for the weekend. Check in was smooth and a requested cot bed was in place. We then requested an extra duvet and that was given straight away. The room was clean and bright and breakfast was varied and plenty of it. Only downsides was the bed could of been bigger and it wasn't very comfortable and you have to use your card when you check in and when you check out where as some other hotels you don't need to do this although I appreciate it allows you to add food to your room for me it was more of an annoyance. Staff were friendly and helpful defiantly a good place to stay
Outside looks a little grotty but clean and pleasant inside, staff friendly and room clean and roomy and bathroom clean , pleasant and comfortable room. Could do with a little more storage very quiet area
We booked this hotel for a overnight stay,Price was £49 per couple and that included breakfast. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful.they and told us all the information we needed to know.the breakfast is from 6.30am to 9.30am.they where plenty to choice for and it was self service.the cooked breakfast was hot and the staff were round twice since we sat down checking to make sure they were still plenty.
We stayed here for two nights for a quick visit to Ramsgate. It was lovely and quiet and we slept well considering. Every single member of staff we had reason to talk or chat to were lovely and really helpful. We both thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. We stayed in an accessible room which was great. The manager must be doing a good job because everyone seemed to be enjoying their jobs and it showed. Thank you holiday Inn express.
Easy to find. Decent car park. Front desk staff professional and smiley. Bedroom positives were comfortable bed and good pillows. Air-conditioning, TV, kettle & good hot shower with good water pressure. The rest is a bit downhill and depressing. Bit put out that we paid £80 for nothing in particular. The quality and style of decor is dreadful. The sofa bed is so old & grim, the thought of sitting on it, made me grimace. That's not good. Breakfast was mediocre. All in all, I left thinking, "never opt for Holiday Inn, in future". Dismal.
Booked a stay back at this hotel after a break of about 7 years . It’s such a great place to stay. The staff are very helpful , nothing too much trouble, but unobtrusive. The rooms were spotlessly clean and bed was very comfy. We slept really well and always nice to have a sofa (sofa bed) in there to, please note , premier inn rather than just the standard chair. The ice machine pumps out ice cubes for the mandatory whisky . The Wi-Fi is stronger in the lobby area than in the rooms but it’s a good 4G area . We took a bottle of wine into the comfortable seating area where breakfast is served to do some necessary admin and browse etc and they provided glasses and jugs of water . Breakfast was much improved with proper pork sausages , crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. Lots of other options too like cereals, fruit and pastries. Coffee machine was also a hit. Very enjoyable stay. Worth mentioning that the coop petrol station and McDonald’s opposite cater well for emergency snacks.
We travelled to Kent for our first wedding anniversary and used this hotel as a base for our trip. When I booked the hotel I made them aware that this was our anniversary and that we would like to have a high room away from the lift. I was very disappointed to find that they gave us the room closest to the lift. I went to the reception to complain but was told that the morning staff had allocated the rooms and there was nothing they could do I understand that we can't be guarenteed any requests and I also don't expect the red carpet treatment becasue it was out wedding anniversary but considering we booked the room well in advance, I'm sure they could have at least moved us a little further away from the lift. This being said, the staff that I did meet were friendly and pleasent to speak to. As for the hotel, the inside was clean and tidy and the breakfast was good. The outside of the building needs some TLC and the cleanless of the outside needs a lot work, inpariticular all the cigarette butts that were left everywhere. On a positive note the location is good for visiting this area of Kent. Overall, the service fell short of what I'd expect from Holiday Inn and the service fell short of similarly priced competitors. I don't think I would choose this hotel again.
We stayed here at holiday inn express for 6 nights as a base to explore Kent. We arrived the room was great, the service was perfect. Breakfast each morning consisted of hot sausages bacon beans eggs. And/or aerials and/or yoghurt. All sorts of hot drinks. All in all highly recommended for all services.
We visited this hotel yesterday and stayed one night before catching the tunnel to Calais. The hotel is very clean, friendly and helpful staff, and good food. We ordered a meal the night we arrived and it was super. The breakfast (hot and cold buffet) came with the room price and was quite filling and good. The only thing I would criticize would be that the bed was way way too soft and woke up with a backache, but that is just me. The sound proofing was very good and we didn't hear a lot of slamming doors or chatter in the hallways. We would stay again!
