Bright and comfortable, our one level, midcentury home is surrounded by 4 acres of nature gardens and forest, with a secluded pool for relaxing in the warmer months. The interior includes hardwood flooring, living room fireplace, spacious sun room, and well stocked kitchen. There are 3 large bedrooms, the primary bedroom pampers with an amazing remodeled bathroom. The comfortable floor plan makes it easy to share public space while offering plenty of private areas. There is a private office for remote working. Relaxation is offered in all parts of the house and grounds. Try the screened in porch for evening dining, or morning coffee on the light filled deck or rest yourself poolside hidden in the secret garden. Gardens burst full of color here, with 60-year-old rhododendrons and abundant annuals including irises and peonies. Winding paths along ancient stone walls and woods full of bird life make this an easy place to find peace and respite. Close to East Hamlet Preserve for hiking, Lake Waramaug beach for swimming and only 10 minutes to Kent town center’s variety of restaurants and shopping. 4 miles to Warren and 25 mins to nearest train station into NYC.

Hugo and his wife were very communicative. Their kitchen is incredibly well stocked and their house felt like home the moment we walked in. Very secluded and relaxing with a beautiful pool. Wi-Fi works great and as long as you can call over Wi-Fi, cellular is not a problem.

Peaceful and Private

Our family of five (three grown children) needed our own place for Thanksgiving weekend as our Thanksgiving hosts in Kent had a full house with their family. The home is not "super large" but it has nice, comfortable space spread out on one floor; it is immaculate, sunny, high on a hill with a pleasant view east. Primary bedroom has very comfortable bedding with a modern bath. Pool was closed but in it's own world below the house. The attractive, "happy" kitchen was filled with all the kitchen utensils and pots/pans/bowls one would need. New washer/dryer in basement. Only one large TV in living room which was a nice change for us--it was simply a lovely getaway spot! Hosts could not have been nicer to communicate with.

Wonderful Stay!

Enjoyed a lovely long weekend at Hugo's home! The property is gorgeous- very secluded, nice pool, and separate lawn area for games. Easy drive (~10m) to the town of Kent and Lake Waramaug. House was exactly a pictured! I can't wait to come back. Easy communication with Hugo - we left a bag and he helped us coordinate pick up.
