We arrived early at about 10:30 and were allowed to leave our car while we explored Kendal. When we got back around 14:30 our room was ready so we went in and settled in. My wife has an issue with onions her meal did contain onions despite being told they’d be excluded. It would have useful to know we could use the pool prior to checking in.

Breakfase was fine, parking was good, the general condition of the room was poor, there were significant holes in the carpet in the room and the walls were paper thin, I was speaking to my partner in the evening on the phone but the hotel staff banged on my door because my speaking was keeping the person awake in the next room????

Every at the hotel was wonderful, the room was clean and well equipped, all staff were so friendly and helpful, the pool was great with really good opening times for kids! We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Very clean room with an amazing view. Right on the river and over the bridge is straight into town. Loved the balcony bar, drinks were a little expensive in hotel but the view made up for it. Pool and hot tub were very clean a little dated but didn’t matter. Bed was so so comfy and room was always warm and very Cosy. Reception staff always there for anything needed. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back
